1 Chronicles 9:22

English Standard Version

22 All these, who were chosen as gatekeepers at the thresholds, were 212. They were enrolled by genealogies in their villages. David and Samuel the seer established them in their office of trust. (1Sa 9:9; 1Ch 26:1) 

New International Version

22 Altogether, those chosen to be gatekeepers at the thresholds numbered 212. They were registered by genealogy in their villages. The gatekeepers had been assigned to their positions of trust by David and Samuel the seer. 

New International Reader’s Version

22 The total number of the men who were chosen to guard the entrances was 212. They were listed in their family history in their villages. David and Samuel the prophet had appointed them to their positions. They appointed them because they trusted them. 

King James Version

22 All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.
