Fürchte den HERRN und meide das Böse

4 und finde so Gunst und Anerkennung in den Augen Gottes und bei den Menschen. (1Mo 39,4; 1Sam 2,26) 5 Vertraue auf den HERRN mit deinem ganzem Herzen, und verlass dich nicht auf deinen eigenen Verstand. (Spr 28,26) 6 Erkenne ihn auf allen deinen Wegen, dann wird er deine Pfade gerade machen. (Ps 25,4; Jes 26,7) 7 Sei nicht weise in deinen eigenen Augen, fürchte den HERRN und meide das Böse. 8 Das wird heilsam sein für deinen Leib^[1] und eine Erfrischung für deine Glieder. (Spr 4,22; Spr 12,18; Spr 16,24) 9 Ehre den HERRN mit deinem Gut und mit den Erstlingen deines ganzen Ertrags, (2Mo 23,16; 4Mo 15,20) 10 dann füllen sich deine Speicher bis an den Rand, und deine Keltern laufen über von Most. (5Mo 28,8) 11 Verachte nicht, mein Sohn, die Unterweisung durch den HERRN und sei nicht unwillig, wenn er dich ermahnt. Das Lob der Weisheit

13 Wohl dem Menschen, der Weisheit gefunden hat, und dem Menschen, dem Einsicht zuteil wird. (Spr 8,34) 14 Sie zu erwerben ist besser, als Silber zu erwerben, und besser ist es, sie zu gewinnen als Gold. (Spr 8,10) 15 Sie ist wertvoller als Perlen, und keine deiner Kostbarkeiten kommt ihr gleich. 16 Langes Leben ist in ihrer Rechten, in ihrer Linken sind Reichtum und Ehre. 17 Ihre Wege sind angenehme Wege, und all ihre Strassen sind friedlich. 18 Ein Baum des Lebens ist sie denen, die sie ergreifen, und wer sie festhält, ist glücklich zu preisen. (Spr 8,32; Spr 11,30; Spr 13,12; Spr 15,4)

19 Der HERR hat mit Weisheit die Erde gegründet, mit Einsicht hat er den Himmel befestigt. (Spr 8,29; Jer 10,12) 20 Seine Kenntnis liess die Fluten hervorbrechen, und die Wolken Tau träufeln. (Hi 36,27)

Weigere dich nicht, Gutes zu tun

21 Mein Sohn, lass nicht aus deinen Augen Klugheit und Umsicht, achte darauf. 22 Dann werden sie Leben sein für dich und ein Schmuck für deinen Hals. (Spr 1,9) 23 Dann wirst du deinen Weg sicher gehen, und dein Fuss wird nirgends anstossen. (Ps 91,12; Spr 4,12; Spr 6,22) 24 Legst du dich nieder, wirst du nicht aufschrecken, und wenn du liegst, wird dein Schlaf süss sein. (3Mo 26,6; Ps 3,6; Spr 19,23) 25 Fürchte dich nicht vor plötzlichem Schrecken und vor dem Verderben der Frevler, wenn es hereinbricht, (Ps 91,5) 26 denn der HERR wird deine Zuversicht sein, und er wird deinen Fuss vor der Falle bewahren. (Spr 10,29) 27 Weigere dich nicht, dem Gutes zu tun, der ein Anrecht darauf hat, wenn es in deiner Macht steht, es zu tun. (Pred 9,10) 28 Sage nicht zu deinem Nächsten: Geh und komm später wieder, morgen will ich dir etwas geben - wenn du es jetzt vermagst. (Mt 5,42) 29 Plane nichts Böses gegen deinen Nächsten, der friedlich bei dir wohnt. (Sach 7,10) 30 Streite mit niemandem ohne Grund, wenn er dir nichts Böses getan hat. 31 Einen Gewalttätigen beneide nicht, und wähle keinen seiner Wege, (Ps 37,1; Ps 73,3; Spr 24,1) 32 denn wer Irrwege geht, den verabscheut der HERR, die Rechtschaffenen aber sind seine Freunde. (Ps 25,14) 33 Der Fluch des HERRN ist im Haus des Frevlers, aber die Wohnung der Gerechten segnet er. (Sach 5,4; Sach 10,6; Sach 14,11) 34 Er spottet über die Spötter, den Demütigen aber erweist er seine Gunst. (Spr 1,26; Jak 4,6; 1Petr 5,5) 35 Die Weisen werden Ehre erben, die Dummen aber Schande davontragen. (Spr 3,16)
