Vertraue dem HERRN deine Werke an

1 Der Mensch überlegt in seinem Herzen, vom HERRN aber kommt, was die Zunge spricht. (Spr 16,9) 2 Einem Mann erscheinen alle seine Wege rein, aber der HERR prüft den Geist^[1]. (Spr 17,3; Spr 21,2; Spr 24,12) 3 Vertraue dem HERRN deine Werke an, so werden deine Pläne gelingen. (Ps 37,5) 4 Der HERR hat alles für seinen Zweck erschaffen, so auch den Frevler für den Tag des Unheils. 5 Der HERR verabscheut jeden Hochmütigen. Die Hand darauf: Er bleibt nicht ungestraft. (Spr 6,17; Spr 11,21) 6 Durch Güte und Treue wird Schuld gesühnt, und in der Furcht des HERRN meidet man das Böse. 7 Wenn dem HERRN die Wege eines Mannes gefallen, versöhnt er mit ihm auch seine Feinde. 8 Besser wenig mit Gerechtigkeit als reichen Ertrag mit Unrecht. (Spr 15,16) 9 Das Herz des Menschen plant seinen Weg, aber der HERR lenkt seinen Schritt. (Spr 25,2) 11 Waage und gerechte Waagschalen gehören dem HERRN, alle Gewichtssteine im Beutel sind sein Werk. (Spr 11,1) 12 Könige verabscheuen Freveltaten, denn durch Gerechtigkeit wird ein Thron gefestigt. (Spr 8,15; Spr 20,28) 13 Königen gefallen gerechte Lippen, denn man liebt den, der aufrichtig redet. (Spr 14,35) 14 Der Zorn eines Königs ist ein Bote des Todes, aber ein weiser Mann kann ihn besänftigen. (Spr 19,12; Spr 20,2) 15 Im heiteren Gesicht eines Königs liegt Leben, und sein Wohlgefallen ist wie die Regenwolke im Frühling. (Spr 29,26) 16 Es ist besser, Weisheit zu erwerben als Gold, und Verstand zu erwerben ist wertvoller als Silber. (Spr 2,4; Spr 8,10) 17 Böses zu meiden, ist die Strasse der Rechtschaffenen, wer auf seinen Weg achtet, bewahrt sein Leben. (Spr 19,16) 18 Stolz kommt vor dem Sturz und Hochmut vor dem Fall. (Spr 11,2; Spr 15,33) 19 Besser bescheiden sein mit den Elenden, als Beute teilen mit den Stolzen. 20 Wer auf das Wort achtet, findet Glück, und wohl dem, der auf den HERRN vertraut. (Ps 2,12; Spr 13,13) 21 Wer ein weises Herz hat, den nennt man verständig, und die gefällige Rede fördert die Belehrung. 22 Dem Verständigen ist der Verstand Quelle des Lebens, und den Toren ist die Torheit Strafe. (Spr 10,11) 23 Das Herz des Weisen macht seinen Mund klug und mehrt auf seinen Lippen die Belehrung. (Spr 5,2) 24 Freundliche Worte sind Honigwaben, süss für die Seele und heilsam für die Glieder. (Spr 3,8; Spr 15,23; Spr 27,9) 25 Da ist ein Weg, der einem gerade erscheint, aber am Ende sind es Wege des Todes. (Spr 14,12) 26 Der Hunger des Arbeiters arbeitet für ihn, denn sein Mund treibt ihn an. (Pred 6,7) 27 Ein Nichtsnutziger gräbt nach Bösem, und auf seinen Lippen ist es wie versengendes Feuer. (Spr 6,12) 28 Ein Falscher entfacht Streit, und ein Verleumder entzweit Freunde. (Spr 6,19; Spr 17,9; Spr 26,20) 29 Ein Gewalttätiger verführt seinen Nächsten und bringt ihn auf einen Weg, der nicht gut ist. (Spr 1,10) 30 Wer mit den Augen zwinkert, plant Falsches, wer die Lippen verzieht, hat das Böse schon getan. (Spr 6,13) 31 Graues Haar ist eine prächtige Krone, man findet sie auf dem Weg der Gerechtigkeit. (Spr 20,29) 32 Besser langmütig sein als ein Kriegsheld, und besser sich selbst beherrschen als Städte bezwingen. (Spr 14,29) 33 In den Falten des Gewandes schüttelt man das Los, aber jeder Entscheid kommt vom HERRN. (Spr 16,9)

1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD. 2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. 3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. 4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. 5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. 6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. 7 When a man' ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. 8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. 9 A man' heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. 10 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment. 11 A just weight and balance are the LORD': all the weights of the bag are his work. 12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness. 13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right. 14 The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it. 15 In the light of the king' countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain. 16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! 17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul. 18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. 19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. 20 He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he. 21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning. 22 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly. 23 The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips. 24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. 25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 26 He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him. 27 An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire. 28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends. 29 A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good. 30 He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass. 31 The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. 32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. 33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.
