1„Jetzt haltet mal alle den Mund und hört zu!“, sagt Gott. „Jede Nation soll zu mir kommen und ihre Sache vortragen. Sie sollen alle zusammen bei der Gerichtsverhandlung erscheinen.2Wer hat diesen Präsidenten aus dem Osten an die Macht gebracht, diesen Typ, der alles immer superkorrekt durchzieht? Wer hat ihm dabei geholfen, dass er gegen alle Nationen im Krieg gewinnt und die Regierungen dort absetzt? Seine Panzer machen alles platt, seine Waffen metzeln alles nieder.3Er jagt den Feinden hinterher, ohne dabei auch nur eine Schramme abzukriegen. Dabei scheint er fast zu fliegen, so schnell geht das.4Wer hat dafür gesorgt, dass er das packt? Das war die Macht, die schon von Anfang an Menschen an den Start gebracht hat. Das war ich, der Chef, Gott. Ich war der Erste, der da war, und ich werde der Letzte sein, der die Tür zumacht.5Die Menschen, die am Ende der Welt wohnen, haben das auch beobachtet, und sie haben Angst. An den Polen der Erde gibt es Erdbeben, und die Menschen kommen deswegen zusammen.6Plötzlich helfen sie sich gegenseitig, jeder ermutigt den anderen.7Der Künstler feuert den Goldschmied an. Der Bildhauer ermutigt den Kunstschweißer, er sagt zu ihm: ‚Sieht super aus! Das hält!‘ Dann schraubt er den neuen Plastikgott auf ein Podest, damit er nicht wackelt.“
Gott hält zu seinen Leuten
8Gott sagt: „Israel, ihr seid meine Leute. Euch hab ich mir als Mitarbeiter extra ausgesucht! Ihr kommt aus der Familie von Abraham, mit dem ich gut befreundet war.9Du, Israel, bist der, den ich aus den letzten Ecken der Erde zu mir gerufen hab. Zu dir habe ich gesagt: Du sollst mein Mitarbeiter sein, ich habe dich extra dafür ausgesucht. Ich hab dich nicht fallen gelassen und dich nicht rausgeschmissen.10Keine Angst! Ich bin bei dir! Du brauchst keinen Schiss zu haben, ich bin dein Gott! Ich werde dich aufbauen und dir Kraft geben. Ich werde dir helfen, ich beschütze dich, ich sorg dafür, dass alles korrekt läuft.11Pass auf: Alle, die gegen dich anstänkern, werden alt aussehen. Wer gegen dich ist, wird kaputtgehen, und wer dich vor Gericht anklagt, wird die Verhandlung verlieren.12Die Leute, die sich mit dir gestritten haben, wird man suchen, aber nicht mehr finden. Sie werden sich in Luft auflösen, sie werden verschwinden.13Ich, der Chef, dein Gott, werde dich an die Hand nehmen. Ich sage dir: Du brauchst keine Angst zu haben! Ich helfe dir!14Habt keine Panik, ihr kleiner Rest von den Israeliten. Ich werde euch helfen, versprochen! Das sagt der ganz besonders krasse Gott, der die Leute von Israel rettet.15Ich mache euch zu einem Mähdrescher mit neuen Schneiden, die auf beiden Seiten scharf sind. Damit könnt ihr sogar Felder abernten, die auf einem Berg liegen, und ihr werdet ganze Hügel damit plattmachen und zerquetschen.16Ihr werft die Ernte mit einem Gebläse in die Luft, damit der Wind das Korn von dem Dreck trennt. Dann werdet ihr euch freuen, freuen an mir, dem ganz besonders krassen Gott von Israel.“
Gott hilft seinen Leuten in heftigen Zeiten
17Dann sagt Gott: „Die kaputten Leute suchen was zu trinken, aber sie fin- den nichts. Sie haben einen trocknen Mund. Aber ich bin Gott, und ich werde ihre Gebete erhören. Ich werde sie nicht im Stich lassen.18Aus unmöglichen Quellen wird plötzlich Wasser sprudeln. Wo keiner mit gerechnet hat, wird es was zu trinken geben. Ich werde das Gebiet, in dem es nie regnet, zu einem Badesee machen. Ich werde dort Quellen entstehen lassen, wo es total trocken ist.19Mitten auf dem Land, wo es kein Wasser gibt, werde ich Bäume hinpflanzen. Tannen, Birken, Eichen, Apfelbäume, Buchen und Hecken werden dort hinkommen.20Das mach ich, damit sie kapieren, dass Gott das organisiert hat. Sie müssen es schnallen, dass der besondere Gott von Israel so was tut.“
Die Plastikgötter sollen zeigen, was sie draufhaben
21Gott, der Chef von Israel, sagt zu den Plastikgöttern der anderen Völker: „Los, zeigt eure Beweise!22Jeder soll mal eine klare Ansage machen und erzählen, was er alles gebracht hat und was er in Zukunft noch alles bringen wird. Schießt los, ihr Plastikgötter, wir werden alles ernst nehmen. Erzählt uns allen mal, was in der Zukunft alles passieren wird, damit wir uns darauf einstellen können.23Auch die Sachen, die mal irgendwann noch viel später -abgehen werden, wollen wir von euch hören, damit wir auch sehen, dass ihr wirklich echte Götter seid! Egal, ob das jetzt was Schlimmes oder was Gutes ist, wir werden es ernst nehmen und Respekt davor haben.24Doch Tatsache ist, dass ihr die absoluten Nullnummern seid, ihr könnt so was gar nicht! Die Menschen, die sich für euch entscheiden, finde ich zum Kotzen.25Ich habe denjenigen, der zu mir gebetet hat, aus dem Norden geholt. Er kam aus Richtung Osten, und er hat sehr viel Kraft, und er macht alle Offiziere platt wie einen Pfannkuchen – wie eine Straßenwalze, die den Asphalt niederwalzt.26Wer hat denn von vornherein gesagt, dass das so passieren wird? Wenn dem so wäre, hätten wir ja gerufen: ‚Das stimmt!‘ Es gibt keinen, der so was vorausgesagt hat, keinen, von dem so ein prophetischer Spruch gekommen wäre, keinen, von dem man etwas in der Richtung gehört hätte.27Ich war der Erste, der das zu den Leuten aus Jerusalem gesagt hat! Ich meinte: ‚Da, passt auf! Da sind sie!‘ Ich sorge dafür, dass in Jerusalem jemand ist, der eine gute Nachricht hat, über die man sich freuen kann.28Jetzt schau ich mich um, aber keiner von den Plastikgöttern ist mehr da. Es gibt keinen, den sie um Rat fragen könnten, und auch ich bekomme keine Antwort mehr auf meine Fragen.29Diese ganzen Pseudogötter sind der größte Scheiß. Sie bringen es nicht, sie sind wie Luft in einem Wasserglas, ihre ganzen Figuren und Bilder haben keine Funktion, die haben nichts drauf, sie können nichts.“

The Futility of Idols
