Die ganze Erde wird verurteilt

1 Passt auf, Gott wird die ganze Erde plattmachen, er fegt alles weg. Er gräbt die Oberfläche einmal um, er sorgt dafür, dass die Bewohner überallhin verstreut werden. 2 Alle werden gleich behandelt. Die Priester, die Angestellten, die Chefs, die Käufer und die Verkäufer, die Leute mit Schulden und die Leute, die anderen Geld geliehen haben. 3 Wie leer gefegt wird die Erde aussehen, ausgeraubt und geplündert. Gott hat ein Machtwort gesprochen und sie verurteilt. 4 Alles vertrocknet, die ganzen Pflanzen vergammeln, und alles hat wahnsinnigen Durst. Überall auf der Erde ist alles trocken, und auch die Politiker sind mit ihrem Latein am Ende. 5 Die Erde wurde vollgekotzt, sie wurde verdreckt von den Menschen, die auf ihr wohnen. Denn sie hatten alle keinen Bock auf das, was Gott wollte, die Gesetze waren ihnen egal, die guten Verträge mit Gott wurden gebrochen. 6 Darum hat er die Erde verflucht, alle, die darauf leben, müssen jetzt die Rechnung bezahlen. Das ist der Grund, warum es plötzlich immer weniger Menschen gibt, sodass bald nicht mehr viele davon übrig sind. 7 Der Weinstock ist vertrocknet, die Bierfässer sind leer, mit den lustigen Partys ist es endgültig vorbei. Das merken die Partyleute, und sie stöhnen deswegen. 8 Der Gettoblaster ist aus, die Band hat aufgehört zu spielen, der Applaus ist vorbei, die Party ist zu Ende. 9 Man gönnt sich kein Bier mehr und singt dabei auch nicht mehr irgendwelche Lieder. Auch mit dem Weintrinken ist Schluss. Denn das Bier schmeckt schal, und der Wein schmeckt nach Putzmittel. 10 Die Stadt ist kaputt und leer, überall ist Chaos. Jedes Haus ist verschlossen, keiner kommt mehr rein. 11 Auf den Straßen schreien die Leute: „Wir wollen Alk! Wir wollen Bier!“, aber es gibt nichts mehr. Mit Partys und Spaß hat es sich abgefrühstückt, überall auf der Erde. 12 Von der Stadt ist nur noch ein Schrotthaufen übrig. Das Stadttor ist weggesprengt worden, dort liegt nur noch ein Berg von Trümmern. 13 So wird das passieren, überall auf der Erde, mitten bei den Leuten. Es wird so sein wie nach der Apfelernte, wie bei der Nachlese vom Weinberg, nachdem das große Erntefest vorbei ist und überall nur noch Reste rumliegen.

Einige freuen sich zu früh

14 Die Leute, die der Zerstörung entkommen sind, werden sich freuen, man wird das ganz laut hören können. Sie werden davon singen, wie cool und gigantisch Gott doch ist. Vom Westen aus werden sie diese Lieder anstimmen. 15 Darum sollten die Leute im Osten Gott applaudieren, an den Küsten sollte man den Gott von Israel toll finden. 16 Wir hören von überall, von Hintertupfingen bis zum Urwald, Sprechchöre: „Gott soll Applaus bekommen, er ist der Größte!“ Meine Antwort war: „Ich kann nicht mehr, ich bin durch, wie soll das nur enden?“ Diebe rauben einen aus, man wird von ihnen abgezogen und abgezockt. 17 Fallen, Tretminen und Netze werden euch erwarten, ihr Menschen, die ihr auf der Erde lebt! 18 Wer vor den angsteinflößenden Schreien flieht, tritt in eine Falle. Und wer es schafft, die Falle zu umgehen, wird sich in einem Netz verfangen. Die Fenster im Himmel werden aufgehen, und es wird fiese Erdbeben geben. 19 Die Erde wackelt, sie scheint zu explodieren, sie zerbröckelt förmlich. 20 Als wäre sie besoffen, torkelt sie hin und her, sie wackelt wie ein Zelt im Sturm. Sie bricht unter der Schuld zusammen, es belastet sie total, sie fällt hin und schafft es nicht, wieder aufzustehen. 21 In der Zeit wird Gott nicht nur im Himmel aufräumen, sondern auch auf der Erde für klare Verhältnisse sorgen. 22 Die Präsidenten werden alle in eine Zelle gesperrt werden, in einen dunklen Kellerraum. Nach langer Zeit bekommen sie endlich ihre Strafe. 23 Wenn das passiert, werden sich sogar der Mond und die Sonne schämen, sie werden rot werden. Denn der Gott wird vom Berg Zion aus regieren und in Jerusalem das Sagen haben. Und die Chefs vom Volk werden alle kapieren, dass er alles kann und dass er der Größte ist.

But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. 17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. 18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. 19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. 21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. 23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

Judgment on the Whole Earth

1 Behold, the LORD will empty the earth^[1] and make it desolate, and he will twist its surface and scatter its inhabitants. 18 He who flees at the sound of the terror shall fall into the pit, and he who climbs out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.
