Aber das ist vorbei, aus ist der Kampf, seine Gegner wurden geschlagen – zwölftausend Mann.3Gott, du hast uns verworfen, zerstört, uns in Teile zerrissen.4Deine Leute waren zerstreut und verteilt, heile die Risse.5Wir waren gebrochen wie Wellen an steinigen Riffen, waren verwundet, als hätten sie uns mit Steinen beschmissen.6Wir hatten Angst, auf uns waren die Kanonen gerichtet, aber dank dir konnten wir fliehen mit reinem Gewissen.7Bitte hilf uns, wir müssen die Feinde vernichten, halt unsere Verluste gering, wir möchten keinen vermissen.8-9Gott hat geredet in seinen Heiligen Hallen: „Ich will abgehen vor Freude und die Länder verteilen. Sichem, Sukkot, Gilead und Manasse sind mein, auch Efraim und Juda gehörn mir allein.10Moab und Edom will ich an mich reißen, und auch Philistäa wird mich loben und preisen!“11Wer wird mich denn bis nach Edom begleiten?12Gott, willst du etwa wieder mit uns kämpfen und streiten?13Hilf du uns vor den Bedrängern, Hilfe von Menschen ist wertlos.14Gott, ein Wort von dir, und ich zieh direkt mit meinem Heer los.
