1 Ein Psalm Davids.[1] Der HERR sprach zu meinem Herrn: Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis ich deine Feinde hinlege als Schemel für deine Füße! (Mt 22,44; Mt 26,64; Mk 12,36; Lk 20,43; Apg 2,34; 1Kor 15,25; Hebr 1,13; Hebr 7,21; Hebr 10,12; Hebr 10,13) 2 Der HERR wird das Zepter deiner Macht ausstrecken von Zion: Herrsche inmitten deiner Feinde! (1Mo 49,10; 4Mo 24,17; Ps 2,8; Ps 45,7; Mt 28,18; Hebr 1,8) 3 Dein Volk ist willig am Tag deines Kriegszuges; in heiligem Schmuck, aus dem Schoß der Morgenröte, tritt der Tau deiner Jungmannschaft hervor. (Ri 5,2; 1Chr 29,9; Ps 29,2; Ps 96,9; Jes 1,19; Röm 12,11) 4 Der HERR hat geschworen, und es wird ihn nicht gereuen: Du bist Priester in Ewigkeit nach der Weise Melchisedeks! (1Mo 14,18; 1Mo 22,16; 5Mo 9,5; Hebr 5,6; Hebr 6,13; Hebr 7,1; Hebr 7,17; Hebr 7,21) 5 Der Herr zu deiner Rechten zerschmettert Könige am Tag seines Zorns. (Ps 16,8; Ps 138,7; Offb 6,15) 6 Er wird Gericht halten unter den Heiden, es wird viele Leichen geben; er zerschmettert das Haupt über ein großes Land. (Ps 2,8; Ps 56,8; Jes 2,4; Jes 66,16; Jes 66,24; Hes 39,4; Joe 4,2) 7 Er wird trinken aus dem Bach am Weg; darum wird er das Haupt erheben. (Ri 15,19; Ps 1,3; Ps 27,6; Joh 4,14)

1 Ein Psalm Davids. Der HERR sprach zu meinem Herrn: »Setz dich auf den Ehrenplatz zu meiner Rechten, bis ich deine Feinde demütige und sie zum Schemel unter deinen Füßen mache.« (Mt 22,44; Mk 12,1; Lk 20,42; Apg 2,34; Hebr 1,13) 2 Der HERR wird deine Macht ausweiten über Jerusalem[1] hinaus, du wirst über deine Feinde herrschen. (Ps 45,7; Dan 7,13) 3 Am Tage der Schlacht wird dein Volk dir freudig dienen, festlich gekleidet in heilige Gewänder. Wie der Morgentau wird deine Lebenskraft erneuert, Tag für Tag.[2] (Ri 5,2; Ps 96,9) 4 Der HERR hat einen Eid geschworen und wird ihn nicht brechen: »Du bist für immer Priester nach der Ordnung Melchisedeks.« (Hebr 5,6; Hebr 5,14) 5 Der Herr steht an deiner rechten Seite und beschützt dich. Am Tag seines Zorns wirft er viele Könige vor dir nieder. (Ps 2,5; Ps 16,8; Röm 2,5; Offb 6,17) 6 Er wird die Völker richten und Berge von Leichen zurücklassen, er wird Fürsten überall auf der ganzen Erde vernichten. 7 Er selbst aber wird sich unterwegs am Bach erfrischen, darum wird er siegen.

1 A Psalm of David. The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” (Jos 10,24; Ps 8,6; Ps 18,38; Mt 22,44; Mt 26,64; Mk 12,36; Lk 20,42; Apg 2,34; 1Kor 15,25; Eph 1,20; Eph 1,22; Kol 3,1; Hebr 1,3; Hebr 1,13; Hebr 2,8; Hebr 8,1; Hebr 10,12; Hebr 10,13; Hebr 12,2; 1Petr 3,22) 2 The Lord sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! (Ps 45,6; Ps 68,35; Ps 72,8; Jer 48,17; Hes 19,14; Dan 7,13) 3 Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power,[1] in holy garments;[2] from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.[3] (2Mo 35,29; Ri 5,2; 1Chr 16,29; Neh 11,2; Jes 13,3; Offb 19,14) 4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” (1Mo 14,18; 4Mo 23,19; Ps 132,11; Sach 6,13; Joh 12,34; Hebr 5,6; Hebr 6,17; Hebr 6,20; Hebr 7,17; Hebr 7,21; Hebr 7,24; Hebr 7,28) 5 The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. (Ps 2,5; Ps 2,12; Ps 16,8; Ps 68,14; Röm 2,5; Offb 6,17) 6 He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs[4] over the wide earth. (Ps 68,21; Jes 2,4; Hes 39,17; Joe 3,12; Mi 4,3; Offb 19,17) 7 He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head. (Ri 7,5)

1 The LORD says to my lord, ‘Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your control.’ 2 The LORD will make your royal authority spread out from Zion to other lands. He says, ‘Rule over your enemies who are all around you.’ 3 Your troops will be willing to fight for you on the day of battle. Your young men will be wrapped in holy majesty. They will come to you like the fresh dew that falls early in the morning. 4 The LORD has made a promise. He will not change his mind. He has said, ‘You are a priest for ever, just like Melchizedek.’ 5 The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings on the day when he is angry. 6 He will judge the nations. He will pile up dead bodies on the field of battle. He will crush the rulers of the whole earth. 7 He will drink from a brook along the way and receive new strength. And so he will win the battle.
