Woher kommt mir Hilfe? 2 Meine Hilfe kommt vom HERRN, der Himmel und Erde gemacht hat. 3 Er wird deinen Fuß nicht gleiten lassen, und der dich behütet, schläft nicht. 4 Siehe, der Hüter Israels schläft noch schlummert nicht. 5 Der HERR behütet dich; der HERR ist dein Schatten über deiner rechten Hand, 6 dass dich des Tages die Sonne nicht steche noch der Mond des Nachts. 7 Der HERR behüte dich vor allem Übel, er behüte deine Seele. Ich blicke hinauf zu den Bergen: / Woher kommt Hilfe für mich? 2 Meine Hilfe kommt von Jahwe, / dem Schöpfer von Himmel und Erde. 3 Er wird nicht zulassen, dass du fällst. / Er gibt immer auf dich Acht. 4 Nein, der Beschützer Israels / schläft und schlummert nicht. 5 Jahwe behütet dich. / Er ist der Schatten über dir, 6 damit dir am Tag die Sonne nicht schadet / und der Mond nicht in der Nacht 7 Jahwe behütet dich vor allem Bösen, / er bewahrt auch dein Leben. 8 Jahwe behütet dich wenn du fortgehst und wenn du wiederkommst, / von jetzt an bis in Ewigkeit.

1 I look up to the mountains. Where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD. He is the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He won’t let your foot slip. He who watches over you won’t get tired. 4 In fact, he who watches over Israel won’t get tired or go to sleep. 5 The LORD watches over you. The LORD is like a shady tree at your right hand. 6 The sun won’t harm you during the day. The moon won’t harm you during the night. 7 The LORD will keep you from every kind of harm. He will watch over your life. 8 The LORD will watch over your life no matter where you go, both now and for ever.
