Die Geburt Simsons

1 Aber die Kinder Israels taten wieder, was böse war in den Augen des HERRN; da gab sie der HERR in die Hand der Philister, 40 Jahre lang. (Ri 2,19; Ri 3,7; Ri 4,1; Ri 6,1; Ri 10,7; Jer 13,23)

2 Es war aber ein Mann von Zorea, vom Geschlecht der Daniter, namens Manoach; und seine Frau war unfruchtbar und konnte keine Kinder bekommen. (1Mo 11,30; 1Mo 25,21; Jos 15,33; Jos 19,41; 1Sam 1,2; Lk 1,7)

3 Und der Engel des HERRN erschien der Frau und sprach zu ihr: Siehe doch! Du bist unfruchtbar und kannst keine Kinder bekommen; aber du wirst schwanger werden und einen Sohn gebären! (1Mo 18,10; Ri 6,12; Ps 127,3; Lk 1,11; Lk 1,13; Lk 1,28; Lk 1,31)

4 Und nun hüte dich doch, dass du keinen Wein noch starkes Getränk trinkst und nichts Unreines isst! 6 Da kam die Frau und sagte es ihrem Mann und sprach: Ein Mann Gottes ist zu mir gekommen, und seine Gestalt war wie die Gestalt eines Engels Gottes, sehr schrecklich, sodass ich ihn nicht fragte, woher er komme, und er hat mir seinen Namen nicht genannt. 7 Und er sprach zu mir: Siehe, du wirst schwanger werden und einen Sohn gebären; so trinke nun weder Wein noch starkes Getränk und iss nichts Unreines; denn der Knabe soll ein Nasiräer Gottes sein von Mutterleib an bis zum Tag seines Todes! (3Mo 10,9; 1Sam 1,11; 1Sam 1,28; Jer 35,6)

8 Da betete Manoach zu dem HERRN und sprach: Ach, mein Herr! Lass doch den Mann Gottes, den du gesandt hast, wieder zu uns kommen, damit er uns lehrt, was wir mit dem Knaben tun müssen, der geboren werden soll! (Ps 32,8; Spr 3,5; Jak 1,5) 9 Und Gott erhörte die Stimme Manoachs, und der Engel Gottes kam wieder zu der Frau; sie saß aber auf dem Feld, und ihr Mann Manoach war nicht bei ihr. 10 Da lief die Frau rasch und berichtete es ihrem Mann und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, der Mann ist mir erschienen, der an jenem Tag zu mir kam! (1Mo 1,31; 2Mo 19,9; Ps 33,18) 11 Und Manoach machte sich auf und ging seiner Frau nach; und er kam zu dem Mann und sprach zu ihm: Bist du der Mann, der mit [meiner] Frau geredet hat? Er sprach: Ja, ich bin’s! (Ri 13,9; Ri 13,16) 12 Und Manoach sprach: Wenn nun dein Wort eintrifft, was für eine Ordnung soll für den Knaben gelten, und was soll er tun? (1Kön 3,9; Ps 143,8) 13 Und der Engel des HERRN sprach zu Manoach: Von allem, was ich deiner Frau gesagt habe, soll sie sich enthalten; (Ri 13,4) 14 sie soll nichts essen, was vom Weinstock kommt, und soll weder Wein noch starkes Getränk trinken und nichts Unreines essen; und alles, was ich ihr geboten habe, soll sie halten! 15 Und Manoach sprach zu dem Engel des HERRN: Lass dich doch von uns aufhalten, so wollen wir dir ein Ziegenböcklein zubereiten! (1Mo 18,5; Ri 6,18) 16 Aber der Engel des HERRN antwortete Manoach: Wenn du mich auch hier behieltest, so würde ich doch nicht von deiner Speise essen. Willst du aber ein Brandopfer darbringen, so sollst du es dem HERRN opfern! Manoach wusste nämlich nicht, dass es der Engel des HERRN war. (1Mo 8,20; 3Mo 1,3; 2Kön 3,27) 17 Und Manoach sprach zum Engel des HERRN: Was ist dein Name? Denn wenn dein Wort eintrifft, so wollen wir dich ehren! (1Mo 32,29; 2Mo 3,13) 18 Aber der Engel des HERRN sprach zu ihm: Warum fragst du nach meinem Namen? Er ist ja wunderbar! (Ri 13,6; Neh 9,5; Jes 9,5) 19 Da nahm Manoach das Ziegenböcklein und das Speisopfer und opferte es dem HERRN auf dem Felsen, und Er tat ein Wunder; Manoach aber und seine Frau sahen zu. (Ri 6,19; 1Kön 18,36) 20 Denn als die Flamme vom Altar zum Himmel stieg, da fuhr der Engel des HERRN in der Flamme des Altars hinauf. 21 Der Engel des HERRN erschien aber Manoach und seiner Frau nicht mehr. Da erkannte Manoach, dass es der Engel des HERRN war. (Ri 6,22; Hos 12,4) 22 Und Manoach sprach zu seiner Frau: Wir müssen sicherlich sterben, weil wir Gott gesehen haben! (2Mo 33,20; 5Mo 5,26; Jes 6,5; Offb 1,17)

23 Aber seine Frau antwortete ihm: Wenn es dem HERRN gefallen hätte, uns zu töten, so hätte er das Brandopfer und das Speisopfer nicht von unseren Händen angenommen; er hätte uns auch weder dies alles gezeigt noch uns jetzt so etwas hören lassen! (5Mo 29,28; 1Kön 2,9; Ps 20,4; Joh 15,15)

1 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years. 2 And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not. 3 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. 4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing : 5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. 6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was , neither told he me his name: 7 But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing : for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death. 8 Then Manoah intreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord, let the man of God which thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born. 9 And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her. 10 And the woman made haste, and ran, and shewed her husband, and said unto him, Behold, the man hath appeared unto me, that came unto me the other day. 11 And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman? And he said, I am . 12 And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass. How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him? 13 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware. 14 She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing : all that I commanded her let her observe. 15 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee. 16 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD. 17 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honour? 18 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret? 19 So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wondrously; and Manoah and his wife looked on. 20 For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it , and fell on their faces to the ground. 21 But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD. 22 And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God. 23 But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have shewed us all these things , nor would as at this time have told us such things as these. 24 And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him. 25 And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.
