Das Lamm ist würdig, das versiegelte Buch zu öffnen
1Und ich sah in der Rechten dessen, der auf dem Thron saß, ein Buch[1], innen und außen beschrieben, mit sieben Siegeln versiegelt. (Jes 29,11; Hes 2,9; Dan 12,4; Dan 12,9)2Und ich sah einen starken Engel, der verkündete mit lauter Stimme: Wer ist würdig, das Buch zu öffnen und seine Siegel zu brechen? (Jes 29,11; Offb 5,5; Offb 5,12; Offb 12,10; Offb 14,7; Offb 14,9; Offb 14,15)3Und niemand, weder im Himmel noch auf der Erde noch unter der Erde, vermochte das Buch zu öffnen, noch hineinzublicken. (Röm 11,34; 1Petr 1,12)4Und ich weinte sehr, weil niemand für würdig befunden wurde, das Buch zu öffnen und zu lesen, noch auch hineinzublicken. (Dan 12,8; Joh 1,18; Joh 10,28; Offb 4,1)5Und einer von den Ältesten spricht zu mir: Weine nicht! Siehe, es hat überwunden der Löwe, der aus dem Stamm Juda ist, die Wurzel Davids, um das Buch zu öffnen und seine sieben Siegel zu brechen! (1Mo 49,9; 5Mo 33,7; Ps 137,1; Spr 30,30; Jes 11,1; Jer 23,5; Mt 26,75; Mk 16,9; Röm 1,3; Hebr 7,14)6Und ich sah, und siehe, in der Mitte des Thrones und der vier lebendigen Wesen und inmitten der Ältesten stand ein Lamm, wie geschlachtet; es hatte sieben Hörner und sieben Augen, welche die sieben Geister Gottes sind, die ausgesandt sind über die ganze Erde. Die Anbetung des Lammes
8Und als es das Buch nahm, fielen die vier lebendigen Wesen und die 24 Ältesten vor dem Lamm nieder, und sie hatten jeder eine Harfe und eine goldene Schale voll Räucherwerk; das sind die Gebete der Heiligen. (Ps 33,2; Ps 57,9; Ps 141,2; Offb 8,3; Offb 14,2; Offb 15,2)9Und sie sangen ein neues Lied, indem sie sprachen: Du bist würdig, das Buch zu nehmen und seine Siegel zu öffnen; denn du bist geschlachtet worden und hast uns für Gott erkauft mit deinem Blut aus allen Stämmen und Sprachen und Völkern und Nationen[2], (Ps 96,1; Apg 20,28; Eph 1,7; Hebr 9,12; 1Petr 1,18; Offb 7,5; Offb 14,3)10und hast uns zu Königen und Priestern gemacht für unseren Gott, und wir werden herrschen auf Erden. (2Mo 19,6; 1Petr 2,9; Offb 1,6; Offb 20,6; Offb 22,5)11Und ich sah, und ich hörte eine Stimme von vielen Engeln rings um den Thron und um die lebendigen Wesen und die Ältesten; und ihre Zahl war zehntausendmal zehntausend und tausendmal tausend; (Ps 68,18; Dan 7,10)12die sprachen mit lauter Stimme: Würdig ist das Lamm, das geschlachtet worden ist, zu empfangen Kraft und Reichtum und Weisheit und Stärke und Ehre und Ruhm und Lob! (Offb 7,10)13Und jedes Geschöpf, das im Himmel und auf der Erde und unter der Erde ist, und was auf dem Meer ist, und alles, was in ihnen ist, hörte ich sagen: Dem, der auf dem Thron sitzt, und dem Lamm gebührt das Lob und die Ehre und der Ruhm und die Macht von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! (Röm 8,22; Phil 2,9)14Und die vier lebendigen Wesen sprachen: Amen! Und die 24 Ältesten fielen nieder und beteten den an, der lebt von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit. (Offb 4,9; Offb 19,4)

1And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.5And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.13And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.14And the four beasts said, Amen.
