Jesus und Nikodemus. Die Notwendigkeit der Wiedergeburt
1Es war aber ein Mensch unter den Pharisäern namens Nikodemus, ein Oberster der Juden. (Joh 7,50)2Der kam bei Nacht zu Jesus und sprach zu ihm: Rabbi, wir wissen, dass du ein Lehrer bist, der von Gott gekommen ist; denn niemand kann diese Zeichen tun, die du tust, es sei denn, dass Gott mit ihm ist. (Ps 112,4; Joh 2,11; Joh 2,23; Joh 6,37; Apg 2,22)3Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Wenn jemand nicht von Neuem geboren wird, so kann er das Reich Gottes nicht sehen! Er kann doch nicht zum zweiten Mal in den Schoß seiner Mutter eingehen und geboren werden? Der Sohn Gottes ist als Retter in die Welt gekommen
14Und wie Mose in der Wüste die Schlange erhöhte, so muss der Sohn des Menschen erhöht werden, (4Mo 21,9; Joh 8,28)15damit jeder, der an ihn glaubt, nicht verlorengeht, sondern ewiges Leben hat. (Jes 45,22; Hebr 7,25)16Denn so [sehr][1] hat Gott die Welt geliebt, dass er seinen eingeborenen Sohn gab, damit jeder, der an ihn glaubt, nicht verlorengeht, sondern ewiges Leben hat. (Röm 8,31; 1Joh 4,9)17Denn Gott hat seinen Sohn nicht in die Welt gesandt, damit er die Welt richte, sondern damit die Welt durch ihn gerettet werde. (Lk 9,56; Joh 12,47)18Wer an ihn glaubt, wird nicht gerichtet; wer aber nicht glaubt, der ist schon gerichtet, weil er nicht an den Namen des eingeborenen Sohnes Gottes geglaubt hat. (Mk 16,16; Joh 5,24; Joh 6,29; Joh 16,8; Hebr 2,3)19Darin aber besteht das Gericht, dass das Licht in die Welt gekommen ist, und die Menschen liebten die Finsternis mehr als das Licht; denn ihre Werke waren böse. (Hos 5,4; Joh 1,5; Joh 1,11; Joh 5,40)20Denn jeder, der Böses tut, hasst das Licht und kommt nicht zum Licht, damit seine Werke nicht aufgedeckt werden. (1Kön 22,8; Hi 24,13; Eph 5,11)21Wer aber die Wahrheit tut, der kommt zum Licht, damit seine Werke offenbar werden, dass sie in Gott getan sind. (Ps 26,1; Kol 3,17; 1Thess 5,4; 1Joh 3,24)
Johannes der Täufer und sein Zeugnis von Christus
22Danach kam Jesus mit seinen Jüngern in das Land Judäa, und dort hielt er sich mit ihnen auf und taufte. (Joh 3,26; Joh 4,1)23Aber auch Johannes taufte in Änon, nahe bei Salim, weil viel Wasser dort war; und sie kamen dorthin und ließen sich taufen. (Mt 3,5; Mk 1,4; Lk 3,7)24Denn Johannes war noch nicht ins Gefängnis geworfen worden. (Lk 3,20)25Es erhob sich nun eine Streitfrage zwischen den Jüngern des Johannes und einigen Juden wegen der Reinigung.26Und sie kamen zu Johannes und sprachen zu ihm: Rabbi, der, welcher bei dir war jenseits des Jordan, für den du Zeugnis abgelegt hast, siehe, der tauft, und jedermann kommt zu ihm! (Joh 4,1)27Johannes antwortete und sprach: Ein Mensch kann sich nichts nehmen, es sei denn, es ist ihm vom Himmel gegeben. (1Kor 3,5; Hebr 5,4; Jak 1,17)28Ihr selbst bezeugt mir, dass ich gesagt habe: Nicht ich bin der Christus, sondern ich bin vor ihm her gesandt. (Joh 1,20; Joh 1,26)29Wer die Braut hat, der ist der Bräutigam; der Freund des Bräutigams aber, der dasteht und ihn hört, ist hocherfreut über die Stimme des Bräutigams. Diese meine Freude ist nun erfüllt. (Ps 45,12; Hl 7,11; Mt 9,15; 2Kor 11,2)30Er muss wachsen, ich aber muss abnehmen.[2] (Jes 52,13; Mt 13,32)31Der von oben kommt, ist über allen. Wer von der Erde ist, der ist von der Erde und redet von der Erde; der aus dem Himmel kommt, ist über allen. (Mt 11,11; 1Kor 15,47; Hebr 1,1; Hebr 2,4; Hebr 3,3; Hebr 8,6)32Und er bezeugt, was er gesehen und gehört hat, und sein Zeugnis nimmt niemand an. (Jes 53,1)33Wer aber sein Zeugnis annimmt, der bestätigt, dass Gott wahrhaftig ist. (Lk 7,29; 1Joh 5,10)34Denn der, den Gott gesandt hat, redet die Worte Gottes; denn Gott gibt den Geist nicht nach Maß. (Jes 11,2; Lk 5,1; Joh 8,47; Apg 10,38; Kol 2,9; 1Petr 1,23; Offb 1,9; Offb 19,13)35Der Vater liebt den Sohn und hat alles in seine Hand gegeben. (Mt 3,17; Mt 28,18)36Wer an den Sohn glaubt, der hat ewiges Leben; wer aber dem Sohn nicht glaubt, der wird das Leben nicht sehen, sondern der Zorn Gottes bleibt auf ihm. (Hab 2,4; Lk 3,7; Röm 1,18; 1Joh 5,13)
