Die Obersten der Judäer missachten das Wort des Herrn und ziehen nach Ägypten
1Und es geschah, als Jeremia alle diese Worte des HERRN, ihres Gottes, mit denen der HERR, ihr Gott, ihn zu ihnen gesandt hatte, dem ganzen Volk bis zu Ende mitgeteilt hatte, alle diese Worte, (2Mo 24,3; Jer 1,7; Jer 1,17; Jer 26,8; Jer 42,3; Jer 51,63; Apg 5,20)2da sprachen Asarja, der Sohn Hosajas, und Johanan, der Sohn Kareachs, und alle frechen Männer zu Jeremia: Du redest Lügen! Der HERR, unser Gott, hat dich nicht gesandt, zu sagen: Ihr sollt nicht nach Ägypten ziehen, um euch dort als Fremde aufzuhalten; (Spr 8,13; Spr 16,5; Spr 16,18; Jes 9,8; Jer 40,8; Jer 42,4; Joh 8,42)3sondern Baruch, der Sohn Nerijas, hetzt dich gegen uns auf, um uns in die Hand der Chaldäer zu bringen, damit sie uns töten oder nach Babel wegführen! (1Sam 26,19; Jer 38,4; Jer 43,6)4So gehorchten Johanan, der Sohn Kareachs, und alle Heerführer und das ganze Volk dem Aufruf des HERRN nicht, im Land Juda zu bleiben. (Ps 37,3; Pred 9,16; Jer 42,5; Jer 42,10)5Und Johanan, der Sohn Kareachs, und alle Heerführer nahmen den ganzen Überrest von Juda, die aus allen Völkern, in die sie vertrieben worden waren, zurückgekehrt waren, um im Land Juda zu wohnen: (Jer 40,11; Jer 41,15)6Männer, Frauen und Kinder, die Königstöchter und alle Seelen, die Nebusaradan, der Oberste der Leibwache, bei Gedalja, dem Sohn Achikams, des Sohnes Schaphans, gelassen hatte; auch den Propheten Jeremia und Baruch, den Sohn Nerijas, (Jer 36,4; Jer 36,26; Jer 36,32; Jer 40,6; Jer 45,2)7und sie zogen in das Land Ägypten; denn sie waren der Stimme des HERRN nicht gehorsam. Und sie kamen bis Tachpanches. (Jer 2,16; Jer 42,13; Jer 44,1; Hes 30,18; Apg 7,51)
Jeremia sagt die Eroberung Ägyptens durch Nebukadnezar voraus
8Und das Wort des HERRN erging an Jeremia in Tachpanches folgendermaßen: (1Mo 45,4; Ps 139,9)9Nimm große Steine in deine Hand und senke sie in den Lehmboden bei der Ziegelterrasse, die sich in Tachpanches am Eingang des Hauses des Pharao befindet, vor den Augen der jüdischen Männer. (2Mo 1,14; 2Sam 12,31; Jer 13,1; Jer 18,2)10Und sage zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Siehe, ich will meinen Knecht Nebukadnezar, den König von Babel, holen lassen und seinen Thron über diesen Steinen aufrichten, die ich eingesenkt habe; und er wird seinen Prachtteppich über ihnen ausbreiten. (Jer 25,9; Jer 27,6; Jer 46,25)11Und wenn er kommt, wird er das Land Ägypten schlagen: Wer zum Tod bestimmt ist, den wird er töten; wer zur Gefangenschaft bestimmt ist, den wird er gefangen wegführen; und wer für das Schwert bestimmt ist, den wird er mit dem Schwert umbringen. (Jer 15,2; Jer 44,12; Jer 46,13; Hes 30,4; Hes 30,10; Hes 30,11)12Und ich werde in den Tempeln der Götter Ägyptens ein Feuer anzünden, und er wird sie verbrennen und wegführen; und er wird das Land Ägypten um sich werfen, wie ein Hirte sein Obergewand um sich wirft; und er wird in Frieden von dort wegziehen. (Jer 46,25; Hes 29,19; Hes 30,13)13Dazu wird er die Obelisken von Beth-Schemesch, die im Land Ägypten sind, zerbrechen und die Tempel der Götter Ägyptens mit Feuer verbrennen. (Jer 43,12)

(Jer 40,13; Jer 43,2)5But Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces took all the remnant of Judah who had returned to live in the land of Judah from all the nations to which they had been driven— (Jer 40,11)6the men, the women, the children, the princesses, and every person whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan; also Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch the son of Neriah. (Jer 38,23; Jer 39,10; Jer 39,14; Jer 40,7; Jer 44,20)7And they came into the land of Egypt, for they did not obey the voice of the Lord. And they arrived at Tahpanhes. (Jes 30,4; Jer 2,16; Jer 44,1; Jer 46,14)8Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes: (Jer 43,7)9“Take in your hands large stones and hide them in the mortar in the pavement that is at the entrance to Pharaoh’s palace in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah, (Jer 43,7)10and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and I will set his throne above these stones that I have hidden, and he will spread his royal canopy over them. (Jer 1,15; Jer 25,9)11He shall come and strike the land of Egypt, giving over to the pestilence those who are doomed to the pestilence, to captivity those who are doomed to captivity, and to the sword those who are doomed to the sword. (Jer 15,2; Jer 44,13; Jer 46,13)12I shall kindle a fire in the temples of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burn them and carry them away captive. And he shall clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd cleans his cloak of vermin, and he shall go away from there in peace. (2Mo 12,12; Ps 104,2; Jes 19,1; Jes 49,18; Jer 17,27; Jer 46,25; Jer 48,7; Hes 30,13)13He shall break the obelisks of Heliopolis, which is in the land of Egypt, and the temples of the gods of Egypt he shall burn with fire.’” (2Mo 23,24; Jer 43,12)
