Die Bosheit der Menschen und Gottes Gericht

1 Und es geschah, als sich die Menschen zu mehren begannen auf der Erde und ihnen Töchter geboren wurden, (1Mo 1,28) 2 da sahen die Gottessöhne^[1], dass die Töchter der Menschen schön waren, und sie nahmen sich von allen jene zu Frauen, die ihnen gefielen. 4 In jenen Tagen waren die Riesen auf der Erde, und auch später noch, solange die Gottessöhne zu den Töchtern der Menschen kamen und diese ihnen [Kinder] gebaren. Das sind die Helden, die von jeher berühmte Männer gewesen sind. (4Mo 13,33; 5Mo 2,10; 1Sam 17,4) 5 Als aber der HERR sah, dass die Bosheit des Menschen sehr groß war auf der Erde und alles Trachten der Gedanken seines Herzens allezeit nur böse, (1Mo 8,21; Spr 6,14; Jer 17,9; Mt 15,19)

7 Und der HERR sprach: Ich will den Menschen, den ich erschaffen habe, vom Erdboden vertilgen, vom Menschen an bis zum Vieh und bis zum Gewürm und bis zu den Vögeln des Himmels; denn es reut mich, dass ich sie gemacht habe! (Hes 33,28; Zef 1,2; Zef 1,18)

Gottes Gnade für Noah. Der Bau der Arche

8 Noah aber fand Gnade in den Augen des HERRN. (1Mo 19,19; 2Mo 33,17; 2Sam 15,25; Apg 7,46)

13 Da sprach Gott zu Noah: Das Ende alles Fleisches^[2] ist bei mir beschlossen; denn die Erde ist durch sie mit Frevel erfüllt, und siehe, ich will sie samt der Erde vertilgen! (1Mo 18,17) 14 Mache dir eine Arche^[3] aus Tannenholz; in Räume sollst du die Arche teilen und sie innen und außen mit Pech überziehen. Increasing Corruption on Earth

1 When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in^[1] man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” (Neh 9,30; Ps 78,39; Gal 5,16; 1Petr 3,19)

4 The Nephilim^[2] were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. 5 The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Noah and the Flood

10 And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. (Hi 22,15; Ps 14,2; Ps 53,2) 13 And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh,^[3] for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. (Hes 7,2; Hes 7,6) 14 Make yourself an ark of gopher wood.^[4] Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. 15 This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark 300 cubits,^[5] its breadth 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits. 16 Make a roof^[6] for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die. (1Mo 7,4; 2Petr 2,5) 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. They shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground, according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you to keep them alive. 21 Also take with you every sort of food that is eaten, and store it up.
