Freiwillige Gaben für den Tempelbau

1 Und der König David sprach zu der ganzen Gemeinde: Mein Sohn Salomo, der einzige, den Gott erwählt hat, ist noch jung und zart; das Werk aber ist groß, denn nicht für einen Menschen ist dieser Tempelbau bestimmt, sondern für Gott, den HERRN. (1Chr 22,5; 1Chr 28,1) 2 Ich aber habe mit all meiner Kraft für das Haus meines Gottes beschafft: Gold für goldene, Silber für silberne, Erz für eherne, Eisen für eiserne, Holz für hölzerne Geräte, Onyxsteine und Steine für Einfassungen, Steine zur Verzierung und farbige Steine und allerlei Edelsteine und weiße Marmorsteine in Menge. 3 Überdies, weil ich Wohlgefallen habe am Haus meines Gottes, gebe ich, was ich als eigenes Gut an Gold und Silber besitze, für das Haus meines Gottes, zu dem hinzu, was ich für das Haus des Heiligtums herbeigeschafft habe: (Ps 26,8; Lk 12,21; Lk 16,12) 4 nämlich 3 000 Talente Gold, Gold aus Ophir, und 7 000 Talente geläutertes Silber, um die Wände des Hauses zu überziehen; (1Kön 9,28; Hi 28,16) 5 damit golden werde, was golden, und silbern, was silbern sein soll, und für jede Arbeit von der Hand der Künstler. 6 Da erzeigten sich die Obersten der Vaterhäuser, die Obersten der Stämme Israels, die Obersten der Tausendschaften und der Hundertschaften und die Obersten über die Geschäfte des Königs willig; (1Chr 29,9; 2Kor 8,3; 2Kor 8,12; 2Kor 9,7)

7 und sie gaben für den Dienst des Hauses Gottes 5 000 Talente Gold und 10 000 Dareiken^[1] und 10 000 Talente Silber, 18 000 Talente Erz und 100 000 Talente Eisen. Offerings for the Temple

1 And David the king said to all the assembly, “Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced, and the work is great, for the palace will not be for man but for the Lord God. (1Kön 3,7; 1Chr 22,5; 1Chr 29,19) 2 So I have provided for the house of my God, so far as I was able, the gold for the things of gold, the silver for the things of silver, and the bronze for the things of bronze, the iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood, besides great quantities of onyx and stones for setting, antimony, colored stones, all sorts of precious stones and marble. (Jes 54,11; Offb 21,19) 3 Moreover, in addition to all that I have provided for the holy house, I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, and because of my devotion to the house of my God I give it to the house of my God: 4 3,000 talents^[1] of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and 7,000 talents of refined silver, for overlaying the walls of the house,^[2] (1Kön 9,28; 1Chr 22,14) 5 and for all the work to be done by craftsmen, gold for the things of gold and silver for the things of silver. Solomon Anointed King

22 And they ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and they anointed him as prince for the Lord, and Zadok as priest. (1Kön 1,38; 1Kön 2,35; 1Chr 23,1) 23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of David his father. And he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him. The Death of David

26 Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 27 The time that he reigned over Israel was forty years. He reigned seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem. (2Sam 5,4; 1Kön 2,11) 28 Then he died at a good age, full of days, riches, and honor. And Solomon his son reigned in his place.
