Przypowieści Salomona 24

English Standard Version

od Crossway
1 Be not envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them, (Ps 37,1; Przyp 1,15; Przyp 24,19)2 for their hearts devise violence, and their lips talk of trouble. (Ps 10,7; Iz 59,13)3 By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; (Przyp 14,1)4 by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. (Przyp 23,23; Łk 16,11)5 A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might, (Przyp 21,22)6 for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory. (Przyp 11,14; Przyp 20,18)7 Wisdom is too high for a fool; in the gate he does not open his mouth. (Job 5,4; Przyp 14,6)8 Whoever plans to do evil will be called a schemer. (Rz 1,30)9 The devising[1] of folly is sin, and the scoffer is an abomination to mankind. (Ps 1,1; Przyp 21,27)10 If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. (Hbr 12,3)11 Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. (Ps 82,4; Iz 58,6)12 If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work? (1 Sm 16,7; Job 34,11; Ps 91,11; Przyp 16,2; Kazn 5,8)13 My son, eat honey, for it is good, and the drippings of the honeycomb are sweet to your taste. (Ps 19,10; Ps 119,103; Pnp 4,11; Pnp 5,1; Iz 7,15)14 Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off. (Przyp 23,18)15 Lie not in wait as a wicked man against the dwelling of the righteous; do no violence to his home; (Ps 10,9)16 for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity. (Job 5,19; Ps 37,24; Przyp 14,32)17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, (Ps 35,15; Ps 35,19; Przyp 17,5; Mi 7,8)18 lest the Lord see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him.19 Fret not yourself because of evildoers, and be not envious of the wicked, (Ps 37,1; Przyp 24,1; Jer 12,1)20 for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out. (Job 18,5; Przyp 13,9; Przyp 24,14)21 My son, fear the Lord and the king, and do not join with those who do otherwise, (Rz 13,7; 1 P 2,17)22 for disaster will arise suddenly from them, and who knows the ruin that will come from them both?23 These also are sayings of the wise. Partiality in judging is not good. (Przyp 1,6; Przyp 18,5; Przyp 22,17)24 Whoever says to the wicked, “You are in the right,” will be cursed by peoples, abhorred by nations, (Przyp 11,26; Przyp 17,15)25 but those who rebuke the wicked will have delight, and a good blessing will come upon them.26 Whoever gives an honest answer kisses the lips.27 Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house. (Łk 14,28)28 Be not a witness against your neighbor without cause, and do not deceive with your lips. (Przyp 25,18)29 Do not say, “I will do to him as he has done to me; I will pay the man back for what he has done.” (Przyp 20,22)30 I passed by the field of a sluggard, by the vineyard of a man lacking sense, (Job 5,3; Przyp 6,32)31 and behold, it was all overgrown with thorns; the ground was covered with nettles, and its stone wall was broken down. (Iz 5,5)32 Then I saw and considered it; I looked and received instruction. (Przyp 22,17)33 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, (Przyp 6,10)34 and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.
