1-2در آغاز سلطنت صدقيا[1] (پسر يوشيا) پادشاه يهودا، به دستور خداوند يوغی ساختم و آن را با بندهای چرمی به گردنم بستم، مانند يوغی كه هنگام شخم به گردن گاو میبندند.3-4سپس خداوند فرمود كه پيغام او را به سفيران ادوم، موآب، عمون، صور و صيدون كه به اورشليم به حضور صدقيای پادشاه آمده بودند، اعلان نمايم تا آن را به پادشاهان ممالک خود برسانند. پس به ايشان گفتم كه خداوند قادر متعال، خدای اسرائيل چنين میفرمايد:5«من با قدرت عظيم خود، دنيا و تمام انسانها و همهٔ حيوانات را آفريدهام، و آنها را در اختيار هر کس كه مايل باشم قرار میدهم.6بنابراين من تمام سرزمينهای شما را به بنده خود نبوكدنصر، پادشاه بابل، خواهم بخشيد و حتی حيوانات وحشی را نيز مطيع او خواهم ساخت.7تمام قومها، خدمتگزار او و پسرش و نوهاش خواهند بود تا زمانی كه نوبت شكست مملكت او هم برسد؛ آنگاه قومهای مختلف و پادشاهان بزرگ، سرزمين بابل را تصرف كرده، مردم آن را بندهٔ خود خواهند ساخت.8هر قومی را كه نخواهد تسليم نبوكدنصر شود و زير يوغ بندگی او برود، با جنگ، قحطی و وبا مجازات خواهم كرد تا مغلوب او شود.9«به سخنان انبيای دروغين و كسانی كه آينده را با فالگيری و خواب و رؤيا و احضار ارواح و جادوگری پيشگويی میكنند گوش ندهيد؛ آنها میگويند كه تسليم پادشاه بابل نشويد؛10ولی همه دروغ میگويند. اگر شما به سخنانشان گوش بدهيد و تسليم پادشاه بابل نشويد، من خود، شما را از سرزمينتان بيرون خواهم كرد و در سرزمینهای دور دست پراكنده خواهم ساخت تا نابود شويد.11اما به هر قومی كه تسليم و مطيع پادشاه بابل شود، اجازه خواهم داد در سرزمين خود بماند و به كشت و زرع بپردازد.»12تمام اين پيشگويیها را برای صدقيا، پادشاه يهودا نيز تكرار كردم و گفتم: «اگر میخواهی خودت و قومت زنده بمانيد، تسليم پادشاه بابل و قوم او شويد.13چرا اصرار داری كاری بكنی كه همگی از بين بروند؟ چرا بايد با جنگ و قحطی و وبا كشته شويد، با بلاهايی كه خداوند بر هر قومی كه تسليم پادشاه بابل نشود، خواهد فرستاد؟14به انبيای دروغين گوش ندهيد؛ آنها میگويند كه پادشاه بابل نمیتواند شما را شكست بدهد، ولی دروغ میگويند،15چون من ايشان را نفرستادهام و آنها به اسم من پيامهای دروغين میآورند؛ پس اگر سخنان ايشان را پيروی نمايی، شما را از اين سرزمين بيرون خواهم كرد و از بين خواهم برد، هم تو و هم انبيای دروغينت را.»16آنگاه كاهنان و مردم را خطاب كرده، گفتم كه خداوند چنين میفرمايد: «به سخنان انبيای دروغين توجه نكنيد؛ آنها میگويند كه ظروف طلا كه از خانهٔ خداوند به بابل برده شده، بزودی باز آورده خواهد شد؛ اين دروغ است.17به آنها گوش ندهيد. تسليم پادشاه بابل شويد و زنده بمانيد، و گرنه اين شهر با خاک يكسان خواهد شد.18اگر آنها واقعاً انبيای من هستند و پيامهای خود را از من دريافت میكنند، از من تقاضا كنند تا ظروف طلايی كه هنوز در خانهٔ خداوند و در كاخ پادشاه يهودا و ديگر كاخهای اورشليم باقی مانده، به بابل برده نشوند!19-21چون زمانی كه نبوكدنصر، پادشاه بابل، بزرگان اورشليم و يهودا را به همراه يهوياكين (پسر يهوياقيم)، پادشاه يهودا، به بابل به اسارت برد، بعضی چيزهای با ارزش را باقی گذاشت مانند ستونهای مفرغی جلو خانهٔ خدا، حوضهای مفرغی بزرگ حياط خانهٔ خدا، پايههای فلزی و تمام اسباب و اثاثيه گرانبها مربوط به جشنها و عيدهای مذهبی. ولی يقين بدانيد كه22تمام اينها هم به بابل برده خواهند شد و در آنجا خواهند ماند تا روزی كه من بر قومم نظر لطف بيندازم. در آن زمان اينها را از بابل باز خواهم آورد.»
1In the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah[1] the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord.2Thus the Lord said to me: “Make yourself straps and yoke-bars, and put them on your neck. (لاويان 26:13; 1پادشاهان 22:11; اِرميا 28:10; اِرميا 28:12; حزقيال نبی 7:23)3Send word[2] to the king of Edom, the king of Moab, the king of the sons of Ammon, the king of Tyre, and the king of Sidon by the hand of the envoys who have come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah. (اِرميا 25:21)4Give them this charge for their masters: ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: This is what you shall say to your masters:5“It is I who by my great power and my outstretched arm have made the earth, with the men and animals that are on the earth, and I give it to whomever it seems right to me. (مزامير 115:15; مزامير 115:16; اشعيا 45:12; اِرميا 21:5; دانيال 4:17; دانيال 4:25; دانيال 4:32)6Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, my servant, and I have given him also the beasts of the field to serve him. (اِرميا 25:9; اِرميا 28:14; حزقيال نبی 30:21; حزقيال نبی 30:25; دانيال 2:38)7All the nations shall serve him and his son and his grandson, until the time of his own land comes. Then many nations and great kings shall make him their slave. (اِرميا 25:12; اِرميا 25:14; اِرميا 52:31; دانيال 2:37; دانيال 5:1; دانيال 5:30)8““But if any nation or kingdom will not serve this Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, I will punish that nation with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, declares the Lord, until I have consumed it by his hand. (اِرميا 14:12; اِرميا 27:11; اِرميا 30:8)9So do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your fortune-tellers, or your sorcerers, who are saying to you, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon.’ (تثنيه 18:10; اشعيا 2:6; اِرميا 14:14; اِرميا 29:8)10For it is a lie that they are prophesying to you, with the result that you will be removed far from your land, and I will drive you out, and you will perish. (اِرميا 5:31)11But any nation that will bring its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will leave on its own land, to work it and dwell there, declares the Lord.”’” (اِرميا 27:2; اِرميا 27:8)12To Zedekiah king of Judah I spoke in like manner: “Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people and live. (اِرميا 27:1; اِرميا 27:11; اِرميا 27:17; اِرميا 28:1; اِرميا 38:17)13Why will you and your people die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, as the Lord has spoken concerning any nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? (اِرميا 14:12; اِرميا 27:8; حزقيال نبی 18:31)14Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are saying to you, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon,’ for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you. (اِرميا 14:14; اِرميا 27:10)15I have not sent them, declares the Lord, but they are prophesying falsely in my name, with the result that I will drive you out and you will perish, you and the prophets who are prophesying to you.” (اِرميا 27:10)16Then I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, “Thus says the Lord: Do not listen to the words of your prophets who are prophesying to you, saying, ‘Behold, the vessels of the Lord’s house will now shortly be brought back from Babylon,’ for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you. Why should this city become a desolation? (اِرميا 7:34; اِرميا 27:11; اِرميا 27:14)18If they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, then let them intercede with the Lord of hosts, that the vessels that are left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem may not go to Babylon. (اشعيا 59:16; دانيال 1:2)19For thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the pillars, the sea, the stands, and the rest of the vessels that are left in this city, (2پادشاهان 25:13)20which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take away, when he took into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem— (2پادشاهان 24:14; اِرميا 24:1; متیٰ 1:11)21thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem: (اِرميا 27:19)22They shall be carried to Babylon and remain there until the day when I visit them, declares the Lord.
