1 Não, SENHOR, não me castigues com cólera; não me corrijas com severidade. 2 Tem piedade de mim, SENHOR, porque estou enfraquecido. Cura-me porque o meu corpo está doente. 3 O meu espírito está confuso e perturbado; até quando, SENHOR, esperarei por ti? 4 Vem libertar a minha alma e salva-me na tua bondade. 5 Depois de morto ninguém pode lembrar-se de ti; no mundo dos mortos[1] quem te louvará? 6 Já estou cansado de gemer; molho a almofada com as lágrimas que derramo de noite. 7 A minha vista está cansada e turva de tanta tristeza, por causa dos que me querem mal. 8 Afastem-se de mim, todos os que praticam a maldade, porque o SENHOR já ouviu o meu lamento. 9 Ele já ouviu a minha súplica; o SENHOR atendeu à minha oração. 10 Num momento, todos os meus adversários recuarão, cobertos de vergonha e desanimados.

1 To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments; according to The Sheminith.[1] A Psalm of David. O Lord, rebuke me not in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath. (1 Cr 15:21; Sl 38:1; Sl 94:12; Sl 118:18; Pv 3:11; Jr 30:11; Jr 46:28; Hb 12:3) 2 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled. (Sl 30:2; Sl 31:10; Sl 41:4; Sl 103:3) 3 My soul also is greatly troubled. But you, O Lord—how long? (Sl 90:13; Jo 12:27) 4 Turn, O Lord, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love. 5 For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who will give you praise? (Sl 30:9; Sl 88:10; Sl 115:17; Is 38:18) 6 I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping. (Sl 38:9; Sl 69:3) 7 My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows weak because of all my foes.
