Salmo de David, quando se fez passar por louco perante Abimeleque, que o expulsou.
1Louvarei o SENHOR em todos os momentos; louvá-lo-ei aconteça o que acontecer.2Glorio-me no SENHOR por tudo o que me tem feito; todos os humildes se alegrarão com estas coisas.3Louvemos juntos o SENHOR e falemos da excelência do seu nome.4Procurei o SENHOR e ele respondeu-me; livrou-me de todos os meus receios.5Muitos dirigiram os seus olhos para o Senhor e as suas vidas receberam a luz; nunca mais tiveram que se envergonhar.6Também eu, pobre de mim, chamei pelo SENHOR; ele ouviu-me e livrou-me do aperto em que estava.7O anjo do SENHOR põe-se de guarda, para proteger e livrar todos os que o temem.8Verifiquem e constatem como o SENHOR é bom! Feliz é o homem que faz dele o seu refúgio.9Temam o SENHOR, vocês que são o seu santo povo; pois os que o temem não têm falta de nada.10Até os filhotes dos leões chegam a passar fome, mas os que buscam o SENHOR não têm falta de nenhum bem.11Meus filhos e filhas, venham ouvir-me e vos ensinarei como temer ao SENHOR.12Se alguém ama a vida, pretende ter muitos anos para ver o bem.13Tenha então cuidado com a língua e guarde-se de proferir mentiras.14Afaste-se do mal e pratique o bem; procure a paz e seja constante nesse caminho.15Os olhos do SENHOR vigiam os que se conduzem com justiça; os seus ouvidos estão atentos quando chamam por ele.16O SENHOR vira a cara aos que praticam o mal; está disposto a apagar da Terra a lembrança deles.17Os que são justos clamam ao SENHOR que atende e os livra de todas as suas aflições.18O SENHOR está perto dos que têm o coração ferido; liberta os que têm o espírito carregado de angústia.19Muitas são as aflições que o justo tem na vida, mas o SENHOR o livra de todas.20Até o seu corpo está guardado por Deus; nenhum dos seus ossos será quebrado.21A calamidade atingirá certamente os maus; os que aborrecem os justos serão condenados.22O SENHOR liberta a alma dos que o servem; nenhum daqueles que nele se refugiam será condenado.

Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! (Sl 2:12; Sl 100:5; Hb 6:5; 1 Pe 2:3)9Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!10The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. (Sl 33:18; Sl 34:6; Sl 34:8; Sl 145:18; Jo 9:31)16The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. (Sl 21:10; Jr 44:11; Am 9:4)17When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. (Sl 34:15)18The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. (Sl 51:17; Sl 147:3; Is 57:15; Is 61:1; Is 66:2; Lc 15:17)19Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. (Sl 34:6; Sl 34:17; Sl 34:22; At 12:11; 2 Tm 3:11)20He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. (Jo 19:36)21Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. (Sl 7:15; Sl 94:23; Pv 24:16)22The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. (Sl 25:22; Rm 8:33)
