1 Eu te amo, SENHOR, tu que és a minha força. (2 Sm 22:1) 2 O SENHOR é o meu rochedo, o meu lugar forte e o meu libertador. Esconder-me-ei em Deus que é a minha rocha e o meu alto retiro. Ele é o meu escudo, o poder da minha salvação e o meu refúgio. 3 Invocarei o SENHOR que é digno de todo o louvor; salvar-me-á de todos os meus adversários. 4 Cercaram-me laços de morte; torrentes de maldade desabaram sobre mim. 5 Fui ligado e atado por laços do mundo dos mortos e por ciladas da morte. 6 Clamei pelo SENHOR, meu Deus, na minha tribulação, e ele ouviu-me desde o seu templo; o meu clamor chegou aos seus ouvidos. 7 Então a Terra foi abalada e tremeu; os fundamentos das montanhas abalaram-se, por causa da sua ira. 8 Saiu fumo do seu rosto, da sua boca um fogo devorador que tudo consumia, e punha as brasas a arder. 9 Fez baixar os céus e desceu, andando sobre espessas nuvens. 10 Voou sobre um querubim, sobre as asas do vento. 11 As trevas rodearam-no, espessas nuvens o circundaram. 12 O brilho da sua presença resplandeceu, com nuvens, relâmpagos e tempestades de granizo. 13 O SENHOR trovejou desde os céus; o Deus supremo fez ecoar a sua voz. 14 Disparou as suas frechas de luz e dispersou os inimigos. 15 Pelo sopro da tua respiração, até o mar se dividiu em dois; viu-se o fundo das águas pela repreensão do SENHOR. 16 Desde o alto me livrou, salvou-me de ser levado pelas vagas. 17 Libertou-me do meu poderoso inimigo, daqueles que me odiavam, dos que tinham muito mais força do que eu. 18 Saltaram sobre mim, no dia da calamidade, mas o SENHOR foi a minha proteção. 19 Fez-me reaver a liberdade; resgatou-me, porque me amava. 20 O SENHOR recompensou-me, conforme a minha retidão, porque tinha as mãos limpas. 21 Guardei os caminhos do SENHOR; não me afastei impiamente do meu Deus. 22 Tive sempre presentes as suas leis; não me desviei dos seus estatutos. 23 Fui sempre reto perante ele e fugi do pecado. 24 Por isso, o SENHOR atendeu à minha justiça, pois viu que eu estava limpo. 25 Tu és misericordioso para com os misericordiosos; revelas a tua retidão para com os que são retos. 26 Com os puros, mostras-te puro, mas astuto com os perversos. 27 Salvas os que estão aflitos, mas abates os orgulhosos, mas humilhas os que têm olhar altivo. 28 SENHOR, meu Deus, tu acendes a minha luz! Transformas em luz a minha escuridão. 29 Pelo teu poder posso esmagar um exército; pela tua força saltarei muralhas. 30 O caminho de Deus é reto. A palavra do SENHOR é verdade; é um escudo para os que procuram a sua proteção. 31 Só o SENHOR é Deus. Quem é como um rochedo senão o nosso Deus? 32 Deus é quem me fortalece; faz-me andar em perfeita segurança. 33 Faz com que caminhe com passo bem firme, como as gazelas sobre os cumes. 34 Torna-me hábil nos combates, dá-me força capaz de dobrar um arco de bronze; 35 Deste-me o escudo da tua salvação; amparaste-me com a tua mão direita e com a tua bondade me engrandeceste. 36 Fizeste-me andar sobre caminhos planos, onde os meus pés não vacilaram. 37 Persegui os meus inimigos e os alcancei; não desisti sem os derrotar. 38 Persegui-os e destrocei-os, nenhum deles se poderá levantar. Caíram debaixo dos meus pés. 39 Pois deste-me força para a batalha. Fizeste com que subjugasse todos os que se levantaram contra mim. 40 Obrigaste os meus inimigos a retroceder e fugir; destruí todos os que me odiavam. 41 Pediram ajuda, mas ninguém os auxiliou; clamaram ao SENHOR, mas recusou ouvi-los. 42 Pisei-os como o pó do chão que se vai com o vento; esmaguei-os e dispersei-os como pó nas ruas. 43 Guardaste-me da rebelião do meu povo; designaste-me para que seja cabeça das nações. Estrangeiros me servirão. 44 Em breve me serão sujeitos, quando ouvirem falar do meu poder. 45 Perderão a altivez e virão a tremer, lá dos seus esconderijos. 46 O SENHOR vive! Bendito seja aquele que é a minha rocha! Que seja louvado o Deus da minha salvação! 47 Ele é o Deus que por mim faz vingança, que destrói os que se levantam contra mim. 48 Resgataste-me dos meus adversários. Sim, tu levantaste-me em segurança, acima das suas cabeças. Livraste-me da violência. 49 Por isso, SENHOR, dar-te-ei graças entre as nações, e cantarei louvores ao teu nome. 50 Ele deu uma maravilhosa salvação ao seu rei; manifestou misericórdia ao seu ungido, a David e à sua família, para sempre.

1 I love you, O LORD, my strength. 2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Gn 15:1; Sl 9:9; Sl 18:30; Sl 18:31; Sl 19:14; Sl 31:3; Sl 91:2; Sl 112:9; Sl 144:2; Lc 1:69; Hb 2:13) 3 I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. (Sl 48:1; Sl 96:4; Sl 113:3; Sl 145:3) 4 The cords of death encompassed me; the torrents of destruction assailed me;[1] (Sl 32:6; Sl 116:3; Sl 119:61) 5 the cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me. (Sl 4:1) 6 In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. (Gn 17:1; 1 Rs 14:8) 24 So the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight. 25 With the merciful you show yourself merciful; with the blameless man you show yourself blameless; (Mt 5:7) 26 with the purified you show yourself pure; and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous. And who is a rock, except our God?— (Sl 2:1; Sl 86:8) 32 the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless. (Sl 144:1) 35 You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. (Sl 18:19; Sl 31:8; Pv 4:12) 37 I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and did not turn back till they were consumed. 38 I thrust them through, so that they were not able to rise; they fell under my feet. 39 For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me. 40 You made my enemies turn their backs to me,[5] and those who hated me I destroyed. (Ex 23:27; Sl 21:12) 41 They cried for help, but there was none to save; they cried to the LORD, but he did not answer them. (Jó 27:9) 42 I beat them fine as dust before the wind; I cast them out like the mire of the streets. (Sl 44:1; Mq 7:17) 46 The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be the God of my salvation— 47 the God who gave me vengeance and subdued peoples under me, (Sl 47:3; Sl 144:2; Is 45:1) 48 who rescued me from my enemies; yes, you exalted me above those who rose against me; you delivered me from the man of violence. (Sl 59:1; Sl 140:1) 49 For this I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations, and sing to your name. (Sl 66:4; Rm 15:9) 50 Great salvation he brings to his king, and shows steadfast love to his anointed, to David and his offspring forever.
