Jubelt Gott zu, alle Völker der Welt!2Besingt die Schönheit seines Namens, / ehrt ihn mit eurem Lobgesang!3Sagt zu Gott: „Wie furchterregend sind deine Taten! / Wegen deiner gewaltigen Macht heucheln deine Feinde Ergebung.4Anbeten wird dich die ganze Welt. / Psalmlieder.“ ♪5Kommt und seht die Großtaten Gottes! / Sein Tun erfüllt alle mit Staunen und Furcht.6Er verwandelte das Meer in trockenes Land. / Sie zogen zu Fuß durch den Strom. / Dort freuten wir uns an ihm.7Für immer herrscht er mit gewaltiger Macht / und behält die Völker im Auge, / sodass kein Rebell sich gegen ihn erheben kann. ♪8Preist, ihr Völker, unseren Gott! / Lasst deutlich hören sein Lob!9Er erhielt uns am Leben, / bewahrte uns vor dem Fall.10Denn du hast uns geprüft, Gott, / hast uns wie Silber geläutert.11Du hast uns ins Gefängnis gebracht, / uns schwere Lasten aufgelegt.12Du hast uns niedertrampeln lassen. / Wir gingen durch Feuer und Wasser. / Doch dann hast du uns mit Überfluss beschenkt.13Mit Brandopfern komme ich in dein Haus / und will dir meine Versprechen erfüllen,14die meine Lippen von sich gaben / und mein Mund in der Not versprach.15Als Brandopfer bringe ich dir Masttiere dar, / Schafböcke als wohlriechenden Duft. / Rinder und Ziegenböcke bereite ich dir zu. ♪16Kommt und hört zu, ihr Gottesfürchtigen alle! / Ich will erzählen, was er für mich tat.17Zu ihm hatte ich um Hilfe gerufen, / während Lobpreis schon auf meiner Zunge lag.18Hätte ich Böses im Sinn gehabt, / dann hätte der Herr nicht gehört.19Gott aber hat mich erhört, / er hat mein Beten vernommen.20Gelobt sei Gott, der mein Gebet nicht verwarf / und seine Gnade mir nicht entzog.

You placed heavy loads on our backs.12You let our enemies ride their chariots over our heads. We went through fire and water. But you brought us to a place where we have everything we need.13I will come to your temple with burnt offerings. I will keep my promises to you.14I made them with my lips. My mouth spoke them when I was in trouble.15I will sacrifice fat animals to you as burnt offerings. I will offer rams, bulls and goats to you.16Come and hear, all you who have respect for God. Let me tell you what he has done for me.17I cried out to him with my mouth. I praised him with my tongue.18If I had enjoyed having sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.19But God has surely listened. He has heard my prayer.20Give praise to God. He has accepted my prayer. He has not held back his love from me.
