Von Gnade und Recht will ich singen, / dich, Jahwe, ehrt mein Gesang.2Ich will einsichtig handeln auf dem richtigen Weg. / Wann kommst du zu mir? / Mit redlichem Herzen will ich leben in meinem Königshaus.3Keine schandbaren Dinge fass ich ins Auge. / Ich hasse es, Unrecht zu tun. / Das soll nicht an mir zu finden sein.4Falschheit sei meinem Herzen fern, / ich will das Böse nicht kennen.5Wer seinen Nächsten heimlich verleumdet, / den mache ich stumm. / Wer stolz und überheblich auf andere blickt, / den dulde ich nicht.6Ich achte auf die Treuen im Land, / solche Menschen sollen um mich sein. / Wer auf guten Wegen geht, / der darf Diener sein bei mir.7Wer andere betrügt, hat keinen Platz in meinem Haus. / Wer Lügen verbreitet, muss mir aus den Augen gehn.8Morgen für Morgen mach ich mich auf, um Gottlose zum Schweigen zu bringen. / Jahwes Stadt befreie ich von allen, die das Böse tun.
1I will sing about your love and fairness. LORD, I will sing praise to you.2I will be careful to lead a life that is without blame. When will you come and help me? In my own home I will lead a life that is without blame.3I won’t look at anything that is evil and call it good. I hate the acts of people who aren’t faithful to you. I won’t have anything to do with those things.4I will stay away from those whose hearts are twisted. I won’t have anything to do with what is evil.5I will get rid of anyone who tells lies about their neighbour in secret. I won’t put up with anyone whose eyes and heart are proud.6I will look with favour on the faithful people in the land. They will live with me. Those whose lives are without blame will serve me.7No one who lies and cheats will live in my house. No one who tells lies will serve me.8Every morning I will get rid of all the sinful people in the land. I will remove from the city of the LORD everyone who does what is evil.

(Spr 11,20; Spr 17,20; 1Kor 5,11)5Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure. (Ps 15,3; Ps 18,27; Ps 101,8; Ps 131,1; Spr 6,17; Spr 16,5; Spr 21,4; Spr 30,13)6I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me.
