Gott hat seine Macht gezeigt

1 Darum sollst du Jahwe, deinen Gott, lieben und dich dein Leben lang an seine Vorschriften, Ordnungen, Rechtsbestimmungen und Gebote halten. 2 Denkt daran, denn ihr steht jetzt vor mir, nicht eure Kinder! Sie kennen die Erziehung durch Jahwe, euren Gott, nicht und haben seine Größe nicht erfahren, seine starke Hand und seinen ausgestreckten Arm, 3 seine Zeichen und Taten. Sie wissen nicht, was er mit Pharao, dem König von Ägypten, und seinem ganzen Land getan hat; 4 was er mit dem Heer der Ägypter machte, mit ihren Pferden und Wagen, über die er das Wasser des Schilfmeers fluten ließ, als sie euch verfolgten. Jahwe richtete sie so zu Grunde, dass niemand mehr von ihnen zu sehen war. 5 Sie wissen nicht, was er dann in der Wüste mit euch gemacht hat, bis ihr an diesen Ort gekommen seid. 6 Sie wissen auch nicht, was er mit Datan und Abiram, den Söhnen von Eliab Ben-Ruben, machte: Wie die Erde ihr Maul aufriss und sie mitten im Volk samt ihren Familien, ihren Zelten und allem, was ihnen gehörte, verschlang. 7 Ich rede mit euch, die mit ihren eigenen Augen die großen Taten Jahwes gesehen haben.

Segen und Fluch

8 Beachtet also alle Gebote, die ich euch jetzt gebe, damit ihr in der Lage seid, in das Land hineinzugehen und es in Besitz zu nehmen, wozu ihr jetzt den Jordan überquert; 9 und damit ihr lange lebt in diesem Land, das von Milch und Honig überfließt. Es ist das Land, von dem Jahwe euren Vorfahren geschworen hat, es ihnen und ihren Nachkommen zu geben. 10 Denn das Land, in das du jetzt kommst, um es in Besitz zu nehmen, ist nicht wie das Land Ägypten, aus dem ihr ausgezogen seid. Die Aussaat deines Samens hast du damals mühsam bewässern müssen wie einen Gemüsegarten. 11 Nein, das Land, in das ihr jetzt kommt, ist ein Land mit Bergen und Tälern, das vom Regen bewässert wird, 12 ein Land, auf das Jahwe, dein Gott, achtet, auf dem seine Augen ständig ruhen, vom Anfang bis zum Ende des Jahres. 13 Wenn ihr also auf Jahwes Gebote hört, die ich euch heute weitergebe, dass ihr ihn, euren Gott, liebt und ihm mit Herz und Seele dient, 14 dann gibt er eurem Land Regen zur richtigen Zeit im Herbst und im Frühjahr,^[1] und du wirst dein Korn, deinen Most und dein Öl einbringen. 15 Er wird dem Vieh auf deinem Land Gras geben, und du wirst dich satt essen können. 16 Aber nehmt euch in Acht, dass ihr euch nicht verleiten lasst, wegzugehen, um anderen Göttern zu dienen und euch vor ihnen niederzuwerfen! 17 Dann wird nämlich Jahwes Zorn über euch kommen. Er wird den Himmel verschließen, dass kein Regen mehr fällt. Dann bringt der Boden keinen Ertrag mehr, und ihr werdet bald aus dem Land, das Jahwe euch jetzt gibt, beseitigt sein. 18 Nehmt diese Worte also in Herz und Seele auf, bindet sie als Zeichen auf eure Hand und tragt sie als Merkzeichen auf der Stirn. 19 Präge sie deinen Kindern ein und rede davon, ob du in deinem Haus bist oder unterwegs, ob du dich hinlegst oder aufstehst. 20 Du sollst sie auf die Türpfosten deines Hauses schreiben und an deine Tore, 21 dann werdet ihr und eure Kinder lange leben in dem Land, das Jahwe euch gibt, solange der Himmel über der Erde steht. So hat er es euren Vorfahren geschworen. 22 Denn wenn ihr dieses Gebot haltet, das ich euch gebe, wenn ihr danach handelt und Jahwe, euren Gott, liebt, auf allen seinen Wegen bleibt und an ihm festhaltet, 23 dann wird Jahwe alle diese Völker vor euch vertreiben; ja, ihr werdet Völker vertreiben, die größer und stärker sind als ihr. 24 Jeder Ort, auf den eure Fußsohle tritt, soll euch gehören: von der Wüste bis zum Libanon und vom großen Strom, dem Euphrat, bis ans Mittelmeer soll euer Gebiet reichen. 25 Niemand wird vor euch standhalten können, denn Jahwe, euer Gott, wird Furcht und Schrecken vor euch über das ganze Land kommen lassen, das ihr betreten werdet, wie er es euch versprochen hat. 26 Seht, ich lege euch heute den Segen vor und den Fluch: 27 den Segen, wenn ihr die Gebote Jahwes, eures Gottes, die ich euch heute verkünde, befolgt; 28 den Fluch, wenn ihr den Geboten Jahwes, eures Gottes, nicht gehorcht und den Weg verlasst, den ich euch weise, und euch anderen Göttern zuwendet, die ihr nicht kennt. 29 Wenn Jahwe, dein Gott, dich dann in das Land bringt, das du jetzt in Besitz nehmen willst, dann sollst du den Segen auf dem Berg Garizim erteilen und den Fluch auf dem Berg Ebal.^[2] 30 Das sind die beiden Berge auf der anderen Seite des Jordan, hinter dem Weg nach Westen in der Landschaft der Kanaaniter, die in der Araba^[3] bei den Terebinthen More wohnen, gegenüber von Gilgal. (5Mo 1,1) 31 Denn ihr werdet den Jordan überschreiten und das Land in Besitz nehmen, das Jahwe, euer Gott, euch gibt. Ja, ihr werdet es in Besitz nehmen und darin wohnen. 32 Haltet euch dann an alle Vorschriften und Bestimmungen, die ich euch heute vorlege!

1 فَأَحِبُّوا الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكُمْ وَحَافِظُوا عَلَى حُقُوقِهِ، وَأَطِيعُوا فَرَائِضَهُ وَأَحْكَامَهُ وَوَصَايَاهُ دَائِماً. 2 وَاعْلَمُوا الْيَوْمَ أَنَّ حَدِيثِي لَيْسَ مُوَجَّهاً لأَبْنَائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوا وَلا اخْتَبَرُوا تَأْدِيبَ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ، وَلا شَهِدُوا عَظَمَتَهُ وَقُوَّتَهُ الشَّدِيدَةَ وَقُدْرَتَهُ الْفَائِقَةَ، 3 وَلا آيَاتِهِ وَمُعْجِزَاتِهِ الَّتِي أَجْرَاهَا فِي مِصْرَ عَلَى فِرْعَوْنَ مَلِكِ مِصْرَ وَعَلَى أَرْضِهِ، 4 وَالَّتِي صَنَعَهَا بِجَيْشِ مِصْرَ وَخَيْلِهِمْ وَمَرْكَبَاتِهِمْ، حَيْثُ جَعَلَ مِيَاهَ الْبَحْرِ الأَحْمَرِ تَغْمُرُهُمْ حِينَ سَعَوْا وَرَاءَكُمْ، فَأَهْلَكَهُمُ الرَّبُّ. 5 وَالَّتِي عَمِلَهَا لَكُمْ فِي الصَّحْرَاءِ حَتَّى وَصَلْتُمْ إِلَى هَذَا الْمَكَانِ، 6 وَالَّتِي أَنْزَلَهَا بِدَاثَانَ وَأَبِيرَامَ ابْنَيْ أَلِيآبَ مِنْ سِبْطِ رَأُوبَيْنَ، اللَّذَيْنِ انْشَقَّتِ الأَرْضُ وَابْتَلَعَتْهُمَا مَعَ عَائِلَتَيْهِمَا وَخِيَامِهِمَا وَمُمْتَلَكَاتِهِمَا، عَلَى مَشْهَدِ كُلِّ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ، 7 بَلْ لَكُمْ خَاصَّةً لأَنَّ أَعْيُنَكُمْ أَنْتُمْ هِيَ الَّتِي شَهِدَتْ عَظَائِمَ الرَّبِّ الَّتِي أَجْرَاهَا. 8 لِهَذَا أَطِيعُوا كُلَّ الْوَصَايَا الَّتِي أَوْصَيْتُكُمْ بِها الْيَوْمَ، لِتَكُونَ لَدَيْكُمُ الْقُوَّةُ لِدُخُولِ وَامْتِلاكِ الأَرْضِ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ مَاضُونَ إِلَيْهَا لِتَرِثُوهَا، 9 وَلِكَيْ تُطِيلُوا أَيَّامَكُمْ عَلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي أَقْسَمَ الرَّبُّ لِآبَائِكُمْ أَنْ يُعْطِيَهَا لَهُمْ وَلِنَسْلِهِمْ، الأَرْضِ التي تَفِيضُ لَبَناً وَعَسَلاً. 10 لأَنَّ الأَرْضَ الَّتِي تُوْشِكُونَ الدُّخُولَ إِلَيْهَا لامْتِلاكِهَا لَا تُمَاثِلُ أَرْضَ مِصْرَ الَّتِي خَرَجْتُمْ مِنْهَا، حَيْثُ كُنْتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَ زَرْعَكُمْ وَتَرْوُونَهُ (بِفَتْحِ سُدُودِ الْقَنَوَاتِ الصَّغِيرَةِ) بِأَرْجُلِكُمْ، وَكَأَنَّهُ بُسْتَانُ بُقُولٍ. 11 بَلِ الأَرْضُ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ مُقْبِلُونَ عَلَيْهَا لاِمْتِلاكِهَا هِيَ أَرْضُ جِبَالٍ وَأَوْدِيَةٍ، تَرْتَوِي مِنْ مَطَرِ السَّمَاءِ. 12 أَرْضٌ يَعْتَنِي بِها الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ، إذْ تَرْعَاهَا عَيْنَاهُ دَائِماً مِنْ أَوَّلِ السَّنَةِ حَتَّى آخِرِهَا. 13 فَإِذَا أَطَعْتُمُ الْوَصَايَا الَّتِي أُوصِيكُمْ بِها الْيَوْمَ، وَأَحْبَبْتُمُ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكُمْ وَعَبَدْتُمُوهُ مِنْ كُلِّ قُلُوبِكُمْ وَمِنْ كُلِّ نُفُوسِكُمْ، 14 فَإِنَّ الرَّبَّ يَسْكُبُ عَلَى أَرْضِكُمُ الْمَطَرَ الْمُبَكِّرَ وَالْمُتَأَخِّرَ فِي أَوَانِهِ، فَتَجْمَعُونَ قَمْحَكُمْ وَخَمْرَكُمْ، وَزَيْتَكُمْ، 15 وَيُنْبِتُ لِبَهَائِمِكُمْ عُشْباً فِي حُقُولِكُمْ، فَتَأْكُلُونَ أَنْتُمْ وَتَشْبَعُونَ. 16 وَلَكِنْ إِيَّاكُمْ أَنْ تَغْوِيَ قُلُوبُكُمْ فَتَزِيغُوا وَتَعْبُدُوا آلِهَةً أُخْرَى وَتَسْجُدُوا لَهَا، 17 فَيَحْتَدِمُ غَضَبُ الرَّبِّ عَلَيْكُمْ، وَيُغْلِقُ السَّمَاءَ، وَيَمْنَعُ الْمَطَرَ عَنِ الانْهِمَارِ، فَلا تُعْطِي الأَرْضُ غَلَتَهَا فَتَفْنَوْنَ سَرِيعاً عَنِ الأَرْضِ الْخَصِيبَةِ الَّتِي وَهَبَهَا لَكُمُ الرَّبُّ. 18 فَثَبِّتُوا كَلِمَاتِي هَذِهِ عَلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ، وَارْبِطُوهَا عَلامَةً عَلَى أَيْدِيكُمْ، وَاعْصِبُوا بِها جِبَاهَكُمْ، 19 وَعَلِّمُوهَا لأَوْلادِكُمْ، وَتَحَدَّثُوا بِها حِينَ تَكُونُونَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ، وَحِينَ تَسِيرُونَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ، وَحِينَ تَأْوُونَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكُمْ، وَحِينَ تَنْهَضُونَ، 20 وَاكْتُبُوهَا عَلَى قَوَائِمِ أَبْوَابِ بُيُوتِكُمْ وَبَوَّابَاتِ مُدُنِكُمْ، 21 لِكَيْ تَطُولَ أَيَّامُكُمْ وَأَيَّامُ أَوْلادِكُمْ عَلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي حَلَفَ الرَّبُّ لِآبَائِكُمْ أَنْ يَهَبَهَا لَهُمْ، فَتَكُونَ فِي كَثْرَتِهَا كَأَيَّامِ السَّمَاءِ عَلَى الأَرْضِ. 22 لأَنَّهُ إِذَا أَطَعْتُمْ جَمِيعَ هَذِهِ الْوَصَايَا الَّتِي أَنَا أُوصِيكُمْ بِها لِتُمَارِسُوهَا، وَأَحْبَبْتُمُ الرَّبَّ وَسَلَكْتُمْ فِي جَمِيعِ سُبُلِهِ وَتَمَسَّكْتُمْ بِهِ، 23 يَطْرُدُ الرَّبُّ جَمِيعَ تِلْكَ الأُمَمِ مِنْ أَمَامِكُمْ، فَتَرِثُونَ شُعُوباً أَكْبَرَ وَأَعْظَمَ مِنْكُمْ. 24 وَكُلُّ مَوْضِعٍ تَطَأُهُ أَقْدَامُكُمْ يُصْبِحُ لَكُمْ، فَتَكُونُ حُدُودُكُمْ مِنَ الصَّحْرَاءِ فِي الْجَنُوبِ إِلَى لُبْنَانَ، وَمِنْ نَهْرِ الْفُرَاتِ إِلَى الْبَحْرِ الْمُتَوَسِّطِ غَرْباً. 25 وَلا يَجْرُؤُ إِنْسَانٌ أَنْ يُقَاوِمَكُمْ، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكُمْ يَجْعَلُ الْخَوْفَ وَالرُّعْبَ مِنْكُمْ يَسُودَانِ عَلَى كُلِّ الأَرْضِ الَّتِي تَطَأُونَهَا، كَمَا وَعَدَكُمْ. 26 انْظُرُوا هَا أَنَا أُخَيِّرُكُمُ الْيَوْمَ بَيْنَ الْبَرَكَةِ وَاللَّعْنَةِ: 27 الْبَرَكَةُ لَكُمْ إِنْ أَطَعْتُمْ وَصَايَا الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمُ الَّتِي أَنَا أَوْصَيْتُكُمْ بِها الْيَوْمَ، 28 وَاللَّعْنَةُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُمْ وَصَايَا الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ، وَضَلَلْتُمْ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ الَّتِي أَنَا أُوصِيكُمْ بِها الْيَوْمَ، وَعَبَدْتُمْ آلِهَةً أُخْرَى غَرِيبَةً عَنْكُمْ. 29 إِذَا أَتَى بِكُمُ الرَّبُّ إِلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي تُوْشِكُونَ الدُّخُولَ إِلَيْهَا لامْتِلاكِهَا، فَأَعْلِنُوا الْبَرَكَةَ مِنْ عَلَى جَبَلِ جِرِزِّيمَ، وَاللَّعْنَةَ مِنْ عَلَى جَبَلِ عِيبَالَ. 30 أَوَ لَيْسَ هُمَا فِي غَرْبِيِّ نَهْرِ الأُرْدُنِّ، وَرَاءَ الطَّرِيقِ الْمُتَّجِهَةِ نَحْوَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ فِي أَرْضِ الْكَنْعَانِيِّينَ الْمُسْتَوْطِنِينَ فِي الْعَرَبَةِ مُقَابِلَ الْجِلْجَالِ عِنْدَ بَلُّوطَاتِ مُورَةَ؟ 31 لأَنَّكُمْ عَابِرُونَ نَهْرَ الأُرْدُنِّ لِتَدْخُلُوا لامْتِلاكِ الأَرْضِ الَّتِي يَهَبُهَا لَكُمُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ، فَتَرِثُونَهَا وَتُقِيمُونَ فِيهَا. 32 فَأَطِيعُوا جَمِيعَ الْفَرَائِضِ وَالأَحْكَامِ الَّتِي سَنَنْتُهَا الْيَوْمَ أَمَامَكُمْ لِتُمَارِسُوهَا.

Love and obey the Lord

1 Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always. 2 Remember today that your children were not the ones who saw and experienced the discipline of the Lord your God: his majesty, his mighty hand, his outstretched arm; 3 the signs he performed and the things he did in the heart of Egypt, both to Pharaoh king of Egypt and to his whole country; 4 what he did to the Egyptian army, to its horses and chariots, how he overwhelmed them with the waters of the Red Sea^[1] as they were pursuing you, and how the Lord brought lasting ruin on them. 5 It was not your children who saw what he did for you in the wilderness until you arrived at this place, 6 and what he did to Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab the Reubenite, when the earth opened its mouth right in the middle of all Israel and swallowed them up with their households, their tents and every living thing that belonged to them. 7 But it was your own eyes that saw all these great things the Lord has done. 8 Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, 9 and so that you may live long in the land that the Lord swore to your ancestors to give to them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey. 10 The land you are entering to take over is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you planted your seed and irrigated it by foot as in a vegetable garden. 11 But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven. 12 It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end. 13 So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today – to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul – 14 then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your corn, new wine and olive oil. 15 I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied. 16 Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. 17 Then the Lord’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the Lord is giving you. 18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 20 Write them on the door-frames of your houses and on your gates, 21 so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land that the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth. 22 If you carefully observe all these commands I am giving you to follow – to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him and to hold fast to him – 23 then the Lord will drive out all these nations before you, and you will dispossess nations larger and stronger than you. 24 Every place where you set your foot will be yours: your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the River Euphrates to the Mediterranean Sea. 25 No-one will be able to stand against you. The Lord your God, as he promised you, will put the terror and fear of you on the whole land, wherever you go. 26 See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse – 27 the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; 28 the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known. 29 When the Lord your God has brought you into the land you are entering to possess, you are to proclaim on Mount Gerizim the blessings, and on Mount Ebal the curses. 30 As you know, these mountains are across the Jordan, westward, towards the setting sun, near the great trees of Moreh, in the territory of those Canaanites living in the Arabah in the vicinity of Gilgal. 31 You are about to cross the Jordan to enter and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you. When you have taken it over and are living there, 32 be sure that you obey all the decrees and laws I am setting before you today.

Важность наставления потомков

18 Сохраните Мои слова в сердцах и умах; навяжите их как напоминания на руку и обвяжите ими лбы. 19 Учите им своих детей, говорите о них, когда сидите дома и когда идёте по дороге, когда ложитесь спать и когда встаёте. 20 Напишите их на дверных косяках и на воротах своего дома, 21 чтобы вы и ваши дети прожили на земле, которую Вечный клялся дать вашим предкам, столько дней, сколько небеса находятся над землёй. 22 Если вы будете тщательно соблюдать все повеления, которые я даю вам, чтобы вы им следовали, – любить Вечного, вашего Бога, ходить всеми путями Его и хранить верность Ему, – 23 то Вечный прогонит от вас все другие народы, и вы выселите тех, кто многочисленнее и сильнее вас. 24 Любая земля, куда ступит ваша нога, станет вашей: ваша земля будет простираться от пустыни до Ливана, от реки Евфрат до Средиземного моря^[2]. 25 Никто не в силах будет противостоять вам. Вечный, ваш Бог, как Он и обещал вам, наведёт страх и ужас перед вами на всю землю, где бы вы ни шли. 26 Смотрите, сегодня я предлагаю вам благословение и проклятие. 27 Благословение, если вы будете слушаться повелений Вечного, вашего Бога, которые я даю вам сегодня. 28 А проклятие, если вы не будете слушаться повелений Вечного, вашего Бога, свернёте с пути, который я указываю вам, и пойдёте за другими богами, которых не знали раньше. 29 Когда Вечный, ваш Бог, введёт вас в землю, в которую вы идёте, чтобы завладеть ею, вы должны провозгласить там, на горе Геризим, благословения, а на горе Гевал – проклятия. 30 Вы знаете, что эти горы находятся за Иорданом, к западу от дороги, рядом с великими деревьями Море, в земле тех хананеев, которые живут в Иорданской долине в окрестностях Гилгала. 31 Вы перейдёте Иордан, чтобы пойти и завладеть землёй, которую даёт вам Вечный, ваш Бог. Когда вы завладеете ею и будете там жить, 32 то смотрите, соблюдайте все установления и законы, которые я даю вам сегодня.
