1Da kamen die Töchter von Zelofhad Ben-Hefer, dem Enkel Gileads, der über Machir und Manasse von Josef abstammte. Es waren Machla, Noa, Hogla, Milka und Tirza.2Sie traten vor den Eingang zum Offenbarungszelt und sagten zu Mose und Eleasar, den Oberen und der ganzen Versammlung:3„Unser Vater ist in der Wüste gestorben. Er gehörte aber nicht zu den Anhängern Korachs, die sich gegen Jahwe auflehnten, sondern ist wie alle anderen seiner Generation an seiner Sünde gestorben. Aber er hatte keine Söhne.4Warum soll der Name unseres Vaters aus seiner Sippe verschwinden, nur weil er keinen Sohn hat? Gib uns Grundbesitz bei den Brüdern unseres Vaters!“5Mose brachte ihre Rechtssache vor Jahwe.6Jahwe erwiderte ihm:7„Die Töchter Zelofhads haben Recht, du sollst ihnen erblichen Grundbesitz bei den Brüdern ihres Vaters geben und seinen Erbbesitz auf seine Töchter übergehen lassen!8Zu den Israeliten sollst du Folgendes sagen: Wenn ein Mann stirbt und keinen Sohn hat, soll sein Erbbesitz auf seine Tochter übergehen.9Hat er aber keine Tochter, soll sein Erbbesitz seinen Brüdern zufallen.10Hat er keine Brüder, dann fällt der Erbbesitz den Brüdern seines Vaters zu.11Hat auch sein Vater keine Brüder, dann fällt der Erbbesitz dem Nächstverwandten aus seiner Sippe zu. Das soll bei den Israeliten gültiges Recht werden, wie Jahwe es Mose befohlen hat.“
Die Einsetzung Josuas
12Jahwe sagte zu Mose: „Steig auf das Abarim-Gebirge[1] und sieh dir das Land an, das ich den Israeliten gegeben habe!13Wenn du es gesehen hast, wirst auch du mit deinen Vorfahren vereint werden wie dein Bruder Aaron,14weil ihr euch in der Wüste Zin, als die Menge Israels aufbegehrte, meinem Befehl widersetzt habt. Ihr habt mich ihnen durch das Wasser nicht als heilig vor Augen gestellt. Das war am Wasser von Meriba bei Kadesch in der Wüste Zin.“15Mose sagte zu Jahwe:16„Jahwe, der Gott, von dem alles Leben kommt, setze einen Mann ein, der die Gemeinschaft führt,17der vor ihnen her auszieht und vor ihnen her einzieht, der sie hinausführt und sie heimführt, damit die Gemeinde Jahwes nicht wie eine Schafherde ohne Hirten ist.“18Jahwe sagte zu Mose: „Nimm Josua Ben-Nun, einen Mann, in dem der Geist ist, und lege deine Hand auf ihn!19Stell ihn vor den Priester Eleasar und die ganze Versammlung und beauftrage ihn vor ihren Augen.20Und gib ihm von deiner Autorität ab, damit die ganze Gemeinschaft der Israeliten auf ihn hört.21Er soll dann vor den Priester Eleasar treten, und der soll vor Jahwe die Entscheidung der Urim[2] für ihn einholen. Nach diesem Befehl sollen sie ausziehen und nach diesem Befehl zurückkehren. Das gilt für Josua und alle Israeliten, die ganze Gemeinschaft.“22Mose machte es, wie Jahwe ihm befohlen hatte. Er holte Josua und stellte ihn vor den Priester Eleasar und die ganze Versammlung.23Er legte ihm die Hände auf und beauftragte ihn, wie Jahwe es ihm gesagt hatte.
1Then drew near the daughters of Zelophehad the son of Hepher, son of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, from the clans of Manasseh the son of Joseph. The names of his daughters were: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. (4Mo 26,33; 4Mo 36,11; Jos 17,3)2And they stood before Moses and before Eleazar the priest and before the chiefs and all the congregation, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, saying,3“Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against the Lord in the company of Korah, but died for his own sin. And he had no sons. (4Mo 14,35; 4Mo 16,1; 4Mo 26,64; Hes 18,4)4Why should the name of our father be taken away from his clan because he had no son? Give to us a possession among our father’s brothers.” (Jos 17,4)5Moses brought their case before the Lord. (2Mo 18,19)6And the Lord said to Moses,7“The daughters of Zelophehad are right. You shall give them possession of an inheritance among their father’s brothers and transfer the inheritance of their father to them. (4Mo 36,2; 4Mo 36,5)8And you shall speak to the people of Israel, saying, ‘If a man dies and has no son, then you shall transfer his inheritance to his daughter.9And if he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.10And if he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.11And if his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to the nearest kinsman of his clan, and he shall possess it. And it shall be for the people of Israel a statute and rule, as the Lord commanded Moses.’” (4Mo 35,29; Rut 4,3; Jer 32,6)
Joshua to Succeed Moses
12The Lord said to Moses, “Go up into this mountain of Abarim and see the land that I have given to the people of Israel. (4Mo 21,11; 4Mo 33,44; 4Mo 33,47; 5Mo 3,27; 5Mo 32,49; 5Mo 34,1)13When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as your brother Aaron was, (4Mo 20,24)14because you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin when the congregation quarreled, failing to uphold me as holy at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.) (2Mo 17,7; 4Mo 20,12; 4Mo 20,13; 4Mo 20,24; 5Mo 32,51)15Moses spoke to the Lord, saying,16“Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation (4Mo 16,22)17who shall go out before them and come in before them, who shall lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be as sheep that have no shepherd.” (5Mo 31,2; Jos 14,11; 1Sam 8,20; 1Sam 18,13; 1Kön 3,7; 1Kön 22,17; 2Chr 1,10; Hes 34,5; Sach 10,2; Mt 9,36; Mk 6,34)18So the Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him. (1Mo 41,38; 4Mo 32,28; 5Mo 34,9; Ri 3,10)19Make him stand before Eleazar the priest and all the congregation, and you shall commission him in their sight. (5Mo 3,28; 5Mo 31,7)20You shall invest him with some of your authority, that all the congregation of the people of Israel may obey. (Jos 1,16)21And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the Lord. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the people of Israel with him, the whole congregation.” (2Mo 28,30)22And Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and made him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation,23and he laid his hands on him and commissioned him as the Lord directed through Moses. (4Mo 27,19)

Он не был среди сторонников Кораха, которые собрались против Вечного. Он умер за свой грех и не оставил сыновей.4Почему имя нашего отца должно быть забыто его кланом из-за того, что у него не было сыновей? Дай нам надел наравне с братьями отца.5Муса представил их дело Вечному,6и Вечный сказал ему:7– Дочери Целофхада говорят правду. Непременно дай им наследственный надел среди братьев их отца и передай им надел их отца.8Скажи исраильтянам: «Если человек умрёт и не оставит сына, передавайте его надел дочери.9Если у него нет дочери, отдавайте надел его братьям.10Если у него нет братьев, отдавайте его надел братьям его отца.11Если у его отца не было братьев, отдавайте его надел во владение ближайшему родственнику в его клане. Это будет для исраильтян установленным законом, как повелел Мусе Вечный».
Иешуа – преемник Мусы
12Затем Вечный сказал Мусе: – Поднимись на эту гору в нагорье Аварим и посмотри на землю, которую Я даю исраильтянам.13Увидев её, ты также отойдёшь к своему народу, вслед за твоим братом Харуном,14потому что вы восстали против Моего повеления и не явили Мою святость мятежному народу у вод в пустыне Цин. (Это были воды Меривы-Кадеша, что в пустыне Цин.)[1] (4Mo 20,1)15Муса сказал Вечному:16– Пусть Вечный, Бог духов всякой плоти, поставит над народом человека,17который сможет идти перед ними и вести их, чтобы народ Вечного не уподобился отаре без пастуха.18Вечный сказал Мусе: – Возьми Иешуа, сына Нуна, человека, в котором есть Дух, и возложи на него руку.19Поставь его перед священнослужителем Элеазаром и всем обществом и назначь его своим преемником.20Передай ему часть своей власти, чтобы народ Исраила слушался его.21Но пусть он ищет совет у священнослужителя Элеазара, который будет добывать для него решения, вопрошая перед Вечным священный жребий[2]. Его слово будет направлять Иешуа и народ Исраила во всех их делах.22Муса сделал, как повелел ему Вечный. Он поставил Иешуа перед священнослужителем Элеазаром и обществом,23возложил на него руки и назначил его своим преемником, как Вечный и повелел Мусе.
