Abram und Lot

1 Von Ägypten kehrte Abram mit seiner Frau, seinem Besitz und seinem Neffen Lot wieder in das Südland Kanaans zurück. 2 Abram war sehr reich. Eine Menge Vieh und Silber und Gold gehörten ihm. 3 Er zog von einem Lagerplatz zum anderen, bis er wieder an die Stelle kam, wo sein Zelt zuerst gestanden hatte, zwischen Bet-El und Ai, 4 wo er früher den Altar gebaut hatte. Dort rief er den Namen Jahwes an. 5 Auch Lot, der mit Abram gezogen war, hatte viele Schafe, Ziegen, Rinder und Zelte. 6 Doch das Weideland reichte nicht für beide aus. Ihr Herdenbesitz war zu groß. So konnten sie unmöglich beisammenbleiben. 7 Es gab immer Streit zwischen den Hirten von Abrams und Lots Vieh. Damals wohnten ja auch noch die Kanaaniter und Perisiter^[1] im Land. 8 Abram besprach das mit Lot. Er sagte: "Es soll kein Streit zwischen uns sein, auch nicht zwischen unseren Hirten. Wir sind doch Brüder! 9 Steht dir nicht das ganze Land offen? Trenn dich doch von mir! Willst du nach links, dann gehe ich nach rechts, und willst du nach rechts, dann gehe ich nach links." 10 Lot schaute sich um und sah, dass es im Umkreis des Jordan reichlich Wasser gab. Bevor Jahwe nämlich Sodom und Gomorra zerstörte, war diese Gegend bis nach Zoar hin wie der Garten Jahwes und wie Ägypten. 11 Deshalb entschied sich Lot für die Gegend im Umkreis des Jordan und zog ostwärts. So trennten sich beide: 12 Abram blieb im Land Kanaan, und Lot zog ins Gebiet der Jordanstädte und kam mit seinen Zelten bis nach Sodom. 13 Doch die Einwohner von Sodom waren sehr böse und sündigten schwer gegen Jahwe. 14 Nachdem Lot weggezogen war, sagte Jahwe zu Abram: "Blick auf und schau dich nach allen Seiten gründlich um! 15 Das ganze Land, das du siehst, will ich dir und deinen Nachkommen für immer geben. 16 Und deine Nachkommen werde ich zahlreich machen wie den Staub der Erde. Nur wenn jemand die Staubkörner zählen könnte, würden auch deine Nachkommen gezählt werden können. 17 Mach dich auf, und durchziehe das Land nach allen Richtungen! Denn dir will ich es geben." 18 Abram zog mit seinen Zelten weiter und nahm seinen Wohnsitz unter den Terebinthen^[2] von Mamre bei Hebron. Dort baute er Jahwe einen Altar.

1 وَغَادَرَ أَبْرَامُ مِصْرَ وَتَوَجَّهَ هُوَ وَزَوْجَتُهُ وَلُوطٌ وَكُلُّ مَا كَانَ لَهُ، نَحْوَ مِنْطَقَةِ النَّقَبِ 2 وَكَانَ أَبْرَامُ يَمْلِكُ ثَرْوَةً طَائِلَةً مِنَ الْمَوَاشِي وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالذَّهَبِ. 3 وَظَلَّ يَتنَقَّلُ فِي مِنْطَقَةِ النَّقَبِ مُتَّجِهاً إِلَى بَيْتِ إِيلٍ، إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي كَانَ قَدْ نَصَبَ فِيهِ خِيَامَهُ أَوَّلاً بَيْنَ بَيْتِ إِيلٍ وَعَايَ. 4 حَيْثُ كَانَ قَدْ شَيَّدَ الْمَذْبَحَ أَوَّلاً، وَدَعَا هُنَاكَ أَبْرَامُ بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ. 5 وَكَانَ لِلُوطٍ الْمُرَافِقِ لأَبْرَامَ غَنَمٌ وَبَقَرٌ وَخِيَامٌ أَيْضاً. 6 فَضَاقَتْ بِهِمَا الأَرْضُ لِكَثْرَةِ أَمْلاكِهِمَا فَلَمْ يَقْدِرَا أَنْ يَسْكُنَا مَعاً. 7 وَنَشَبَ نِزَاعٌ بَيْنَ رُعَاةِ مَوَاشِي أَبْرَامَ وَرُعَاةِ مَوَاشِي لُوطٍ، فِي الْوَقْتِ الَّذِي كَانَ فِيهِ الْكَنْعَانِيُّونَ وَالْفِرِزِّيُّونَ يُقِيمُونَ فِي الأَرْضِ. 8 فَقَالَ أَبْرَامُ لِلُوطٍ: «لا يَكُنْ نِزَاعٌ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ، وَلا بَيْنَ رُعَاتِي وَرُعَاتِكَ لأَنَّنَا نَحْنُ أَخَوَانِ. 9 أَلَيْسَتِ الأَرْضُ كُلُّهَا أَمَامَكَ؟ فَاعْتَزِلْ عَنِّي. إِنِ اتَّجَهْتَ شِمَالاً، أَتَّجِهْ أَنَا يَمِيناً، وَإِنْ تَحَوَّلْتَ يَمِيناً، أَتَحَوَّلْ أَنَا شِمَالاً». 10 وَتَلَفَّتَ لُوطٌ حَوْلَهُ فَشَاهَدَ السُّهُولَ الْمُحِيطَةَ بِنَهْرِ الأُرْدُنِّ وَإذَا بِها رَيَّانَةٌ كُلُّهَا، قَبْلَمَا دَمَّرَ الرَّبُّ سَدُومَ وَعَمُورَةَ، وَكَأَنَّهَا جَنَّةُ الرَّبِّ كَأَرْضِ مِصْرَ الْمُمْتَدَّةِ إِلَى صُوغَرَ. 11 فَاخْتَارَ لُوطٌ لِنَفْسِهِ حَوْضَ الأُرْدُنِّ كُلَّهُ وَارْتَحَلَ شَرْقاً. وَهَكَذَا اعْتَزَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا عَنِ الآخَرِ. 12 وَسَكَنَ أَبْرَامُ فِي أَرْضِ كَنْعَانَ، وَأَقَامَ لُوطٌ فِي مُدُنِ السَّهْلِ حَيْثُ نَصَبَ خِيَامَهُ بِجُوَارِ سَدُومَ. 13 وَكَانَ أَهْلُ سَدُومَ مُتَوَرِّطِينَ فِي الشَّرِّ وَخَاطِئِينَ جِدّاً أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ. 14 وَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لأَبْرَامَ بَعْدَ أَنِ اعْتَزَلَ عَنْهُ لُوطٌ: «ارْفَعْ عَيْنَيْكَ وَتَلَفَّتْ حَوْلَكَ مِنَ الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي أَنْتَ فِيهِ، شِمَالاً وَجَنُوباً، شَرْقاً وَغَرْباً، 15 فَإِنَّ هَذِهِ الأَرْضَ الَّتِي تَرَاهَا، سَأُعْطِيهَا لَكَ وَلِذُرِّيَّتِكَ إِلَى الأَبَدِ. 16 وَسَأَجْعَلُ نَسْلَكَ كَتُرَابِ الأَرْضِ، فَإِنِ اسْتَطَاعَ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يُحْصِيَ تُرَابَ الأَرْضِ يَقْدِرُ آنَئِذٍ أَنْ يُحْصِيَ نَسْلَكَ 17 قُمْ وَامْشِ فِي طُولِ الأَرْضِ وَعَرْضِهَا لأَنِّي لَكَ أُعْطِيهَا». 18 فَنَقَلَ أَبْرَامُ خِيَامَهُ ونَصَبَهَا فِي سَهْلِ مَمْرَا فِي حَبْرُونَ. وَهُنَاكَ بَنَى لِلرَّبِّ مَذْبَحاً.

Abram and Lot Separate

1 So Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the Negeb. (1Mo 12,9) 2 Now Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. (1Mo 24,35; Ps 112,1; Spr 10,22) 3 And he journeyed on from the Negeb as far as Bethel to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai, 4 to the place where he had made an altar at the first. And there Abram called upon the name of the Lord. (1Mo 12,7) 5 And Lot, who went with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents, 6 so that the land could not support both of them dwelling together; for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together, (1Mo 36,6) 7 and there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. At that time the Canaanites and the Perizzites were dwelling in the land. (1Mo 12,6; 1Mo 26,20) 8 Then Abram said to Lot, “Let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, for we are kinsmen.^[1] (Apg 7,26; 1Kor 6,1) 9 Is not the whole land before you? Separate yourself from me. 11 So Lot chose for himself all the Jordan Valley, and Lot journeyed east. Thus they separated from each other. 12 Abram settled in the land of Canaan, while Lot settled among the cities of the valley and moved his tent as far as Sodom. 13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked, great sinners against the Lord. 17 Arise, walk through the length and the breadth of the land, for I will give it to you.” 18 So Abram moved his tent and came and settled by the oaks^[2] of Mamre, which are at Hebron, and there he built an altar to the Lord. (1Mo 12,6; 1Mo 14,13; 1Mo 35,27)

Давай разделимся: если ты пойдёшь налево, то я поверну направо, а если ты пойдёшь направо, то я поверну налево. 10 Лут посмотрел и увидел, что вся Иорданская долина до самого Цоара хорошо орошается, как сад Вечного^[1], как земля египетская. (Это было ещё до того, как Вечный разрушил Содом и Гоморру.) 11 Лут выбрал себе всю долину Иордана и отправился на восток.
