Ein Volk für Gott
2An dem Tag singt ihm das Lied vom wundervollen Weinberg zu:3Ich, Jahwe, behüte ihn, / begieße ihn zu jeder Zeit, / bewache ihn bei Tag und Nacht, / dass niemand sich an ihm vergreift.4Mein Zorn auf ihn ist verraucht. / Doch finde ich Dornen und Disteln darin, / gibt, s einen schonungslosen Krieg: / Sie werden ausgerissen und verbrannt.5So geht es dem, der nicht Schutz bei mir sucht / und Frieden mit mir macht, / ja, Frieden mit mir schließt.6Jakob wird noch Wurzeln schlagen, / Israel wird blühen und gedeihen / und mit Früchten erfüllen die ganze Welt.7Hat der Herr sein Volk geschlagen, wie er ihre Schläger schlug? / Hat er von ihnen so viel umgebracht, wie er das bei ihren Mördern tat?8Mit Maßen, durch Verbannung hast du es bestraft! / Sein heftiger Atem trieb sie fort am Tag, als der Sturm von Osten kam.9Dadurch wird Jakobs Schuld gesühnt. / Und weil seine Sünde beseitigt ist,[2] / macht er die Götzenaltäre zerschlagenen Kalksteinen gleich. / Aschera-Pfähle[3] werden verschwunden sein, / und Räucheraltäre nirgends mehr stehen. (Jes 59,20; Röm 11,26)10Leer ist dann die befestigte Stadt, / ein verlassener Ort, / einsam wie die Steppe. / Kälber weiden dort, / lagern sich und fressen ihre Büsche kahl.11Wenn dann die Zweige dürr geworden sind, / brechen Frauen sie ab und heizen damit. / Es ist ein unverständiges Volk, / deshalb hat sein Schöpfer kein Erbarmen mit ihm. / Er, der es gebildet hat, begnadigt es nicht.12Doch es kommt eine Zeit, in der Jahwe ein Dreschen anstellen wird – vom Bach Ägyptens[4] bis zum Euphratstrom. / Und euch liest man einzeln zusammen, ihr Israeliten!13An dem Tag dröhnt das Schofar-Horn.[5] / Dann kommen die Verirrten aus Assyrien heim, / und die in Ägypten Verstreuten kehren zurück. / Dann beten sie Jahwe in Jerusalem an, auf dem heiligen Berg.

(Jes 10,17)5Or let them lay hold of my protection, let them make peace with me, let them make peace with me.”6In days to come[2] Jacob shall take root, Israel shall blossom and put forth shoots and fill the whole world with fruit. (Jes 37,31; Hos 14,5)7Has he struck them as he struck those who struck them? Or have they been slain as their slayers were slain? (Jes 37,18; Jes 37,36; Hos 6,1)8Measure by measure,[3] by exile you contended with them; he removed them with his fierce breath[4] in the day of the east wind. (Jer 10,24; Jer 18,17)9Therefore by this the guilt of Jacob will be atoned for, and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin:[5] when he makes all the stones of the altars like chalkstones crushed to pieces, no Asherim or incense altars will remain standing. (5Mo 16,21; 2Kön 18,4; Jes 22,14)10For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness; there the calf grazes; there it lies down and strips its branches. (Jes 17,9; Jes 32,14; Jes 32,19; Hos 8,14; Mi 5,11)11When its boughs are dry, they are broken; women come and make a fire of them. For this is a people without discernment; therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them; he who formed them will show them no favor. (5Mo 32,28; Jes 30,16)12In that day from the river Euphrates[6] to the Brook of Egypt the Lord will thresh out the grain, and you will be gleaned one by one, O people of Israel. (1Mo 15,18)13And in that day a great trumpet will be blown, and those who were lost in the land of Assyria and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt will come and worship the Lord on the holy mountain at Jerusalem.
