1A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. A Song. On the holy mount stands the city he founded; (Sl 42:1; Sl 48:1; Is 28:16)2the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob. (Sl 78:67)3Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God. (Sl 46:4; Is 54:1; Is 60:1)4Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush[1]— “This one was born there,” they say. (Jó 9:13; Sl 36:10; Sl 68:31; Is 19:22; Jo 10:14)5And of Zion it shall be said, “This one and that one were born in her”; for the Most High himself will establish her. (Sl 48:8)6The Lord records as he registers the peoples, “This one was born there.” (Sl 69:28)7Singers and dancers alike say, “All my springs are in you.” (2 Sm 6:14; Sl 36:9; Sl 68:25; Is 12:3; Ap 21:6)
