1Irmãos, não pude falar a vocês como a espirituais, mas como a carnais, como a crianças em Cristo.2Dei a vocês leite, e não alimento sólido, pois vocês não estavam em condições de recebê-lo. De fato, vocês ainda não estão em condições,3porque ainda são carnais. Porque, visto que há inveja e divisão entre vocês, não estão sendo carnais e agindo como mundanos?4Pois, quando alguém diz: “Eu sou de Paulo” e outro: “Eu sou de Apolo”, não estão sendo mundanos?5Afinal de contas, quem é Apolo? Quem é Paulo? Apenas servos por meio dos quais vocês vieram a crer, conforme o ministério que o Senhor atribuiu a cada um.6Eu plantei, Apolo regou, mas Deus é quem fez crescer;7de modo que nem o que planta nem o que rega são alguma coisa, mas unicamente Deus, que efetua o crescimento.8O que planta e o que rega têm um só propósito, e cada um será recompensado de acordo com o seu próprio trabalho.9Pois nós somos cooperadores de Deus; vocês são lavoura de Deus e edifício de Deus.10Conforme a graça de Deus que me foi concedida, eu, como sábio construtor, lancei o alicerce, e outro está construindo sobre ele. Contudo, veja cada um como constrói.11Porque ninguém pode colocar outro alicerce além do que já está posto, que é Jesus Cristo.12Se alguém constrói sobre esse alicerce usando ouro, prata, pedras preciosas, madeira, feno ou palha,13sua obra será mostrada, porque o Dia a trará à luz; pois será revelada pelo fogo, que provará a qualidade da obra de cada um.14Se o que alguém construiu permanecer, esse receberá recompensa.15Se o que alguém construiu se queimar, esse sofrerá prejuízo; contudo, será salvo como alguém que escapa através do fogo.16Vocês não sabem que são santuário de Deus e que o Espírito de Deus habita em vocês?17Se alguém destruir o santuário de Deus, Deus o destruirá; pois o santuário de Deus, que são vocês, é sagrado.18Não se enganem. Se algum de vocês pensa que é sábio segundo os padrões desta era, deve tornar-se “louco” para que se torne sábio.19Porque a sabedoria deste mundo é loucura aos olhos de Deus. Pois está escrito: “Ele apanha os sábios na astúcia deles”;20e também: “O Senhor conhece os pensamentos dos sábios e sabe como são fúteis”.21Portanto, ninguém se glorie em homens; porque todas as coisas são de vocês,22seja Paulo, seja Apolo, seja Pedro, sejam o mundo, a vida, a morte, o presente ou o futuro; tudo é de vocês,23e vocês são de Cristo, e Cristo de Deus.

(2 Co 12:11; Gl 2:6; Gl 6:3)8He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. (Sl 127:1; Mc 16:20; 1 Co 3:16; 2 Co 6:1; Ef 2:20; Cl 2:7)10According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled[2] master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. (Rm 12:3; Rm 15:20; 1 Co 3:11; 1 Co 4:15; 2 Pe 3:15; Ap 21:14)11For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (Is 28:16; 2 Co 11:4; Gl 1:6; Ef 2:20)12Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw—13each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. (1 Co 3:15; 1 Co 4:5; 2 Ts 1:8; 1 Pe 1:7)14If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. (1 Co 3:8)15If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. (Sl 66:12; Is 43:2; Jd 1:23)16Do you not know that you[3] are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? (1 Co 6:19; 2 Co 6:16; Ef 2:21)17If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. (2 Co 7:1)18Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,” (Jó 5:13; 1 Co 1:20)20and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” (Sl 94:11)21So let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, (Rm 8:28; 1 Co 1:12; 1 Co 3:4; 1 Co 4:6)22whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours,23and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.
