Salmo 19

Salmo 19

English Standard Version

de Crossway
1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above[1] proclaims his handiwork. (Sal 50:6; Ro 1:19; Ro 1:20) 2 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. 4 Their voice[2] goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, (Ec 1:5; Is 28:10; Ro 10:18) 5 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. (Jue 5:31; Jl 2:16) 6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat. 7 The law of the LORD is perfect,[3] reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; (Ex 25:16; Sal 23:3; Sal 78:5; Sal 111:7; Sal 119:130; Pr 1:4; Mt 11:25; Ro 7:12; 1 Co 1:27; 2 Ti 3:15; 2 Ti 3:16) 8 the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; (Sal 12:6; Sal 13:3; Sal 103:18; Sal 111:7; Sal 119:4; Sal 119:27) 9 the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules[4] of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. (Sal 119:142; Sal 119:151; Sal 119:160) 10 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. (Job 28:17; Sal 119:72; Sal 119:103; Sal 119:127; Pr 8:10; Pr 8:19; Pr 16:24) 11 Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. (Pr 29:18) 12 Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. (Lv 4:2; Nm 15:27; Job 34:32; Sal 40:12; Sal 90:8; 1 Co 4:4) 13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. (Gn 20:6; Nm 15:30; 1 S 25:33; 1 S 25:34; 1 S 25:39; Sal 119:133; Ro 6:12; Ro 6:14) 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. (Job 19:25; Sal 18:2)
