Mântuirea este pentru toți cei care cred
5Căci Moise scrie despre dreptatea care vine din Lege astfel: „Omul care le face va trăi prin ele.“[2] (Lev 18:5)6Însă dreptatea care vine din credință spune așa: „Să nu zici în inima ta: «Cine se va sui în cer?»“[3] – adică pentru a‑L coborî pe Cristos – (Deut 30:12)7„sau: «Cine va coborî în Adânc[4]?»“[5] – adică pentru a‑L ridica pe Cristos dintre cei morți! (Gen 1:2; Gen 7:11; Deut 30:13)8Și atunci, ce spune ea? „Cuvântul este aproape de tine; este în gura ta și în inima ta.“[6] Acesta este cuvântul credinței, pe care‑l predicăm. (Deut 30:14)9Fiindcă, dacă mărturisești cu gura ta că Isus este Domn[7] și crezi în inima ta că Dumnezeu L‑a înviat dintre cei morți, vei fi mântuit. (Ex 3:14)10Căci cu inima omul crede ca să primească dreptatea și cu gura mărturisește ca să primească mântuirea.[8]11Într-adevăr, Scriptura spune: „Oricine crede în El nu va fi făcut de rușine.“[9]12Căci nu este nicio deosebire între iudeu și grec, deoarece Același Domn este al tuturor, fiind bogat în binecuvântare față de toți cei ce‑L cheamă.13Fiindcă „oricine va chema Numele Domnului va fi mântuit!“[10] (Ioel 2:32)14Așadar, cum Îl vor chema pe Cel în Care n‑au crezut? Așa cum este scris: „Cât de frumoase sunt picioarele celor ce aduc vești bune!“[11] (Is 52:7; Naum 1:15)16Însă nu toți au ascultat de Evanghelie, pentru că Isaia spune: „Doamne, cine a crezut ceea ce noi am auzit?“[12] (Is 53:1)17Astfel, credința vine în urma auzirii, iar auzirea vine prin Cuvântul lui Cristos.[13]18Însă eu întreb: n‑au auzit ei? Ba da! „Răsunetul lor a străbătut întreg pământul și cuvintele lor au ajuns până la marginile lumii.“[14] (Ps 19:4)19Însă eu întreb: oare n‑a înțeles Israel? Mai întâi, Moise spune: „Eu vă voi provoca la gelozie prin cei ce nu sunt un neam; vă voi mânia printr‑un neam fără pricepere.“[15] (Deut 32:21)20Iar Isaia este atât de îndrăzneț, încât spune: „M‑am lăsat găsit de către cei ce nu Mă căutau; M‑am făcut cunoscut celor ce nu întrebau de Mine.“[16]21Însă, despre Israel, spune: „Toată ziua Mi‑am întins mâinile către un popor neascultător și împotrivitor.“[17] (Is 65:2)

The Message of Salvation to All
5For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them. (Lev 18:5; Ne 9:29; Ez 20:11; Ez 20:13; Ez 20:21; Mat 19:17; Lu 10:28; Ro 7:10; Gal 3:12)6But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) (Deut 30:12; Ro 9:30)7“or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). (Ev 13:20; Apo 9:1)8But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); (Deut 30:14)9because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
