Da, cântarea de laudă este plăcută și potrivită!2DOMNUL zidește Ierusalimul și‑i strânge pe deportații lui Israel.3El îi vindecă pe cei cu inima zdrobită și le leagă rănile.4El socotește numărul stelelor și le cheamă pe nume pe toate.5Stăpânul nostru este mare și plin de putere; înțelepciunea Sa nu are margini!6DOMNUL îi ridică pe cei smeriți, dar pe cei răi îi apleacă până la pământ.7Cântați DOMNULUI cu mulțumire! Cântați spre lauda Dumnezeului nostru cu lira!8El acoperă cerul cu nori, pregătește ploaia pentru pământ și face să răsară iarba pe munți.9El le dă hrană vitelor și hrănește puii de corb când aceștia strigă.10Nu de puterea calului se bucură El; nu în picioarele omului Își găsește El plăcerea.11DOMNUL Își găsește plăcerea în cei ce se tem de El, în cei ce nădăjduiesc în îndurarea Lui.12Adu laudă DOMNULUI, Ierusalime! Laudă‑L pe Dumnezeul tău, Sioane!13Căci El întărește zăvoarele porților tale și îți binecuvântează fiii în mijlocul tău.14El dă pace în teritoriile tale și te satură cu cel mai ales grâu.15El trimite pe pământ Cuvântul Său; Cuvântul Lui aleargă cu iuțeală.16El dă zăpada ca lâna și presară bruma precum cenușa.17El Își aruncă gheața în bucăți, – cine poate sta înaintea frigului Său? –18Trimite Cuvântul Său și le topește; când Își pune vântul să sufle, apele curg.19A făcut cunoscute cuvintele Sale lui Iacov și a descoperit hotărârile și judecățile Sale lui Israel.20El n‑a făcut așa niciunui alt neam, și ele nu cunosc judecățile Lui. (Ex 15:21; 1 Cro 15:16; Ps 95:1)8He covers the heavens with clouds; he prepares rain for the earth; he makes grass grow on the hills. (Iov 5:10; Iov 38:27; Ps 104:14)9He gives to the beasts their food, and to the young ravens that cry. (Iov 38:41; Ps 104:27)10His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man, (Ps 33:17)11but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love. (Ps 33:18; Ps 149:4)12Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!13For he strengthens the bars of your gates; he blesses your children within you. (Ne 7:3)14He makes peace in your borders; he fills you with the finest of the wheat. (Iov 37:9; Iov 37:10)18He sends out his word, and melts them; he makes his wind blow and the waters flow.
