Услышь мое моление, когда я взываю к Тебе.2Да будет молитва моя как возжигание благовоний перед Тобой и возношение моих рук – как вечернее жертвоприношение.3Поставь, Господи, стражу у моего рта, стереги двери моих уст.4Не дай моему сердцу склониться к злу, не дай участвовать в беззаконии нечестивых, и не дай вкусить от их сластей.5Пусть накажет меня праведник – это милость; пусть обличает меня – это лучшее помазание, которое не отринет моя голова. Но моя молитва против злодеев:6да будут судьи их сброшены с утесов. Тогда люди узнают, что мои слова были правдивы.7Как земля, которую рассекают и дробят, так рассыпаны наши кости у пасти мира мертвых[1].8Но глаза мои устремлены на Тебя, Владыка Господи; у Тебя я нашел прибежище, не отдай мою душу смерти.9Сохрани меня от сетей, которые раскинули для меня, и от западни злодеев.10Пусть нечестивые падут в свои же сети, а я их избегу.

Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men; preserve me from violent men, (Пс 18:48; Пс 71:4; Пс 119:153; Пс 119:170; Прит 3:31)2who plan evil things in their heart and stir up wars continually. (Пс 56:6)3They make their tongue sharp as a serpent’s, and under their lips is the venom of asps. (Пс 10:7; Пс 52:2; Пс 58:4; Рим 3:13)4Guard me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from violent men, who have planned to trip up my feet. (Пс 140:1)5The arrogant have hidden a trap for me, and with cords they have spread a net;[1] beside the way they have set snares for me. (Иов 18:8; Пс 35:7; Пс 64:5; Пс 141:9; Пс 142:3; Иер 18:22)6I say to the Lord, You are my God; give ear to the voice of my pleas for mercy, O Lord! (Пс 28:8)8Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; do not further their[2] evil plot, or they will be exalted! (Пс 35:25; Ис 14:21)9As for the head of those who surround me, let the mischief of their lips overwhelm them! (Пс 7:16; Прит 12:13; Прит 18:7)10Let burning coals fall upon them! Let them be cast into fire, into miry pits, no more to rise! (Пс 11:6; Пс 18:13)11Let not the slanderer be established in the land; let evil hunt down the violent man speedily!12I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and will execute justice for the needy.
