I sacrifici che Dio gradisce

1 Salmo di Asaf. Il Potente, Dio, il Signore, ha parlato e ha convocato la terra da oriente a occidente. 2 Da Sion, perfetta in bellezza, Dio è apparso nel suo fulgore. 3 Il nostro Dio viene e non se ne starà in silenzio; lo precede un fuoco divorante, intorno a lui infuria la tempesta. 4 Egli chiama gli alti cieli e la terra per assistere al giudizio del suo popolo: 5 «Radunatemi», dice, «i miei fedeli che hanno fatto con me un patto mediante il sacrificio». 6 I cieli proclameranno la sua giustizia, perché Dio stesso sta per giudicare. [Pausa] 7 «Ascolta, popolo mio, e io parlerò; ascolta, Israele, e io testimonierò contro di te. Io sono Dio, il tuo Dio. 8 Non ti rimprovero per i tuoi sacrifici; i tuoi olocausti mi stanno sempre davanti. 9 Non esigo tori dalla tua casa, né capri dai tuoi ovili. 10 Sono mie infatti tutte le bestie della foresta, mio è il bestiame che sta sui monti a migliaia. 11 Conosco tutti gli uccelli dei monti e quel che si muove per la campagna è a mia disposizione. 12 Se avessi fame, non lo direi a te, perché mio è il mondo, con tutto quello che contiene. 13 Mangio forse carne di tori, o bevo forse sangue di capri? 14 Come sacrificio offri a Dio il ringraziamento e mantieni le promesse fatte all’Altissimo; 15 poi invocami nel giorno della sventura; io ti salverò, e tu mi glorificherai». 16 Ma Dio dice all’empio: «Perché vai elencando le mie leggi e hai sempre sulle labbra il mio patto, 17 tu che detesti la disciplina e ti getti dietro alle spalle le mie parole? 18 Se vedi un ladro, ti diletti della sua compagnia e ti fai compagno degli adùlteri. 19 Abbandoni la tua bocca al male, e la tua lingua trama inganni. 20 Ti siedi e parli contro tuo fratello, diffami il figlio di tua madre. 21 Hai fatto queste cose, io ho taciuto, e tu hai pensato che io fossi come te; ma io ti riprenderò e ti metterò tutto davanti agli occhi. 22 Capite questo, voi che dimenticate Dio, perché io non vi laceri e nessuno vi liberi. 23 Chi mi offre come sacrificio il ringraziamento, mi glorifica, e a chi regola bene il suo comportamento, io farò vedere la salvezza di Dio».

1 Ein Psalm Asafs. Gott, der HERR, der Mächtige, redet und ruft der Welt zu vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang. (1Cr 25,1) 2 Aus Zion bricht an der schöne Glanz Gottes. (Is 62,1) 3 Unser Gott kommt und schweiget nicht. Fressendes Feuer geht vor ihm her und um ihn her ein gewaltiges Wetter. 4 Er ruft Himmel und Erde zu, dass er sein Volk richten wolle: (De 32,1; Is 1,2) 5 »Versammelt mir meine Heiligen, die den Bund mit mir schlossen beim Opfer.« (Eso 24,4) 6 Und die Himmel werden seine Gerechtigkeit verkünden; denn Gott selbst ist Richter. Sela. 7 »Höre, mein Volk, lass mich reden; / Israel, ich will wider dich zeugen: Ich, Gott, bin dein Gott. (Eso 20,2) 8 Nicht deiner Opfer wegen klage ich dich an – sind doch deine Brandopfer immer vor mir. (1Sam 15,22; Sal 40,7; Is 1,11) 9 Ich will von deinem Hause Stiere nicht nehmen noch Böcke aus deinen Ställen. 10 Denn alles Wild im Walde ist mein und die Tiere auf den Bergen zu Tausenden. 11 Ich kenne alle Vögel auf den Bergen; und was sich regt auf dem Felde, ist mein. 12 Wenn mich hungerte, wollte ich dir nicht davon sagen; denn der Erdkreis ist mein und alles, was darauf ist. 13 Meinst du, dass ich Fleisch von Stieren essen wolle oder Blut von Böcken trinken? 14 Opfere Gott Dank und erfülle dem Höchsten deine Gelübde, (Gion 2,10) 15 und rufe mich an in der Not, so will ich dich erretten, und du sollst mich preisen.« (Sal 91,15) 16 Aber zum Frevler spricht Gott: / »Was redest du von meinen Geboten und nimmst meinen Bund in deinen Mund, (Ro 2,21) 17 da du doch Zucht hassest und wirfst meine Worte hinter dich? 18 Wenn du einen Dieb siehst, so läufst du mit ihm und hast Gemeinschaft mit den Ehebrechern. 19 Deinen Mund lässest du Böses reden, und deine Zunge treibt Falschheit. 20 Du sitzest und redest wider deinen Bruder; deiner Mutter Sohn verleumdest du. (Gen 42,21) 21 Das tust du und ich schweige; da meinst du, ich sei so wie du. Aber ich will dich zurechtweisen und es dir vor Augen stellen. 22 Begreift es doch, die ihr Gott vergesset, dass ich nicht hinraffe, und kein Retter ist da! 23 Wer Dank opfert, der preiset mich, und da ist der Weg, dass ich ihm zeige das Heil Gottes.«

The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. 2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined. 3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. 4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. 5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. 6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah. 7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God. 8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me. 9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. 10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. 13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: 15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. 16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? 17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee. 18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. 19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. 20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother' son. 21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. 22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

1 Habla el Señor, el Dios de dioses: convoca a la tierra de oriente a occidente. 2 Dios resplandece desde Sión, la ciudad bella y perfecta. 3 Nuestro Dios viene, pero no en silencio; lo precede un fuego que todo lo destruye, y en torno suyo ruge la tormenta. 4 El Señor convoca a los cielos y a la tierra, para que presencien el juicio de su pueblo: 5 «Reúnanme a los consagrados, a los que pactaron conmigo mediante un sacrificio.» 6 El cielo proclama la justicia divina: ¡Dios mismo es el juez! Selah 7 «Escucha, pueblo mío, que voy a hablar; Israel, voy a testificar contra ti: ¡Yo soy tu Dios, el único Dios! 8 No te reprendo por tus sacrificios ni por tus holocaustos, que siempre me ofreces. 9 No necesito becerros de tu establo ni machos cabríos de tus apriscos, 10 pues míos son los animales del bosque, y mío también el ganado de los cerros. 11 Conozco a las aves de las alturas; todas las bestias del campo son mías. 12 Si yo tuviera hambre, no te lo diría, pues mío es el mundo, y todo lo que contiene. 13 ¿Acaso me alimento con carne de toros, o con sangre de machos cabríos? 14 ¡Ofrece a Dios tu gratitud, cumple tus promesas al Altísimo! 15 Invócame en el día de la angustia; yo te libraré y tú me honrarás.» 16 Pero Dios le dice al malvado: «¿Qué derecho tienes tú de recitar mis leyes o de mencionar mi pacto con tus labios? 17 Mi instrucción, la aborreces; mis palabras, las desechas. 18 Ves a un ladrón, y lo acompañas; con los adúlteros te identificas. 19 Para lo malo, das rienda suelta a tu boca; tu lengua está siempre dispuesta al engaño. 20 Tienes por costumbre hablar contra tu prójimo, y aun calumnias a tu propio hermano. 21 Has hecho todo esto, y he guardado silencio; ¿acaso piensas que soy como tú? Pero ahora voy a reprenderte; cara a cara voy a denunciarte. 22 »Ustedes que se olvidan de Dios, consideren lo que he dicho; de lo contrario, los haré pedazos, y no habrá nadie que los salve. 23 Quien me ofrece su gratitud, me honra; al que enmiende su conducta le mostraré mi salvación.»
