Il giusto e l’empio

1 Di Davide. Non adirarti a causa dei malvagi; non avere invidia di quelli che agiscono perversamente; 2 perché presto saranno falciati come il fieno e appassiranno come l’erba verde. 3 Confida nel Signore e fa’ il bene; abita il paese e pratica la fedeltà. 4 Trova la tua gioia nel Signore ed egli appagherà i desideri del tuo cuore. 5 Riponi la tua sorte nel Signore; confida in lui, ed egli agirà. 6 Egli farà risplendere la tua giustizia come la luce e il tuo diritto come il sole di mezzogiorno. 7 Sta’ in silenzio davanti al Signore, e aspettalo; non adirarti per chi prospera nelle sue imprese, per l’uomo che ha successo nei suoi malvagi progetti. 8 Cessa dall’ira e lascia lo sdegno; non adirarti, ciò spingerebbe anche te a fare il male. 9 Poiché i malvagi saranno sterminati; ma quelli che sperano nel Signore possederanno la terra. 10 Ancora un po’ e l’empio scomparirà; tu osserverai il luogo dove si trovava, ed egli non ci sarà più. 11 Ma gli umili erediteranno la terra e godranno di una gran pace. 12 L’empio tende insidie al giusto e digrigna i denti contro di lui. 13 Il Signore ride dell’empio, perché vede avvicinarsi il giorno della sua rovina. 14 Gli empi hanno tratto la spada e teso il loro arco per abbattere il misero e il bisognoso, per sgozzare quelli che vanno per la retta via. 15 La loro spada penetrerà nel loro cuore e i loro archi si spezzeranno. 16 Il poco del giusto vale più dell’abbondanza degli empi. 17 Perché le braccia degli empi saranno spezzate; ma il Signore sostiene i giusti. 18 Il Signore conosce i giorni degli uomini integri; la loro eredità durerà in eterno. 19 Non saranno confusi in tempo di sventura, ma saranno saziati in tempo di fame. 20 Gli empi periranno; i nemici del Signore, come grasso d’agnelli, saranno consumati e andranno in fumo. 21 L’empio prende in prestito e non restituisce; ma il giusto ha pietà e dona. 22 Chi è benedetto da Dio erediterà la terra, ma chi è maledetto sarà sterminato. 23 I passi dell’onesto sono guidati dal Signore; egli gradisce le sue vie. 24 Se cade, non è però abbattuto, perché il Signore lo sostiene prendendolo per mano. 25 Io sono stato giovane e sono anche divenuto vecchio, ma non ho mai visto il giusto abbandonato, né la sua discendenza mendicare il pane. 26 Tutti i giorni è pietoso e dà in prestito, la sua discendenza è benedetta. 27 Allontànati dal male e fa’ il bene; dimorerai nel paese per sempre. 28 Poiché il Signore ama la giustizia e non abbandona i suoi santi; essi sono conservati in eterno; ma la discendenza degli empi sarà sterminata. 29 I giusti erediteranno la terra e l’abiteranno per sempre. 30 La bocca del giusto esprime parole sagge e la sua lingua parla con giustizia. 31 La legge di Dio è nel suo cuore; i suoi passi non vacilleranno. 32 L’empio spia il giusto e cerca di farlo morire. 33 Il Signore non l’abbandona nelle sue mani e non lo condanna quando egli viene giudicato. 34 Spera nel Signore e segui la sua via; egli ti esalterà perché tu possieda la terra e veda lo sterminio degli empi. 35 Ho visto l’uomo malvagio e prepotente ergersi come albero verdeggiante sul suolo natìo, 36 ma poi è scomparso, ed ecco, non c’è più; io l’ho cercato, ma non si è più trovato. 37 Osserva l’uomo integro e considera l’uomo retto, perché l’uomo di pace avrà una discendenza. 38 Ma tutti i malvagi saranno distrutti; la discendenza degli empi sarà sterminata. 39 La salvezza dei giusti proviene dal Signore; egli è la loro difesa in tempo d’angoscia. 40 Il Signore li aiuta e li libera; li libera dagli empi e li salva, perché si sono rifugiati in lui.

Das scheinbare Glück der Frevler

1 Von David. Entrüste dich nicht über die Bösen, sei nicht neidisch auf die Übeltäter. (Prov 24,19) 2 Denn wie das Gras werden sie bald verdorren, und wie das grüne Kraut werden sie verwelken. 3 Hoffe auf den HERRN und tue Gutes, bleibe im Lande und nähre dich redlich. 4 Habe deine Lust am HERRN; der wird dir geben, was dein Herz wünscht. (Sal 20,5) 5 Befiehl dem HERRN deine Wege und hoffe auf ihn, er wird’s wohlmachen 6 und wird deine Gerechtigkeit heraufführen wie das Licht und dein Recht wie den Mittag. (Mi 7,9) 7 Sei stille dem HERRN und warte auf ihn. Entrüste dich nicht über den, dem es gut geht, der seinen Mutwillen treibt. 8 Steh ab vom Zorn und lass den Grimm, entrüste dich nicht, dass du nicht Unrecht tust. 9 Denn die Bösen werden ausgerottet; die aber des HERRN harren, werden das Land erben. 10 Noch eine kleine Zeit, so ist der Gottlose nicht mehr da; und wenn du nach seiner Stätte siehst, ist er weg. 11 Aber die Elenden werden das Land erben und ihre Freude haben an großem Frieden. (Mat 5,5) 12 Der Frevler droht dem Gerechten und knirscht mit seinen Zähnen wider ihn. 13 Aber der Herr lacht seiner; denn er sieht, dass sein Tag kommt. (Giob 18,20) 14 Die Frevler ziehen das Schwert und spannen ihren Bogen, dass sie fällen den Elenden und Armen und morden die Frommen. 15 Aber ihr Schwert wird in ihr eigenes Herz dringen, und ihr Bogen wird zerbrechen. 16 Das Wenige, das ein Gerechter hat, ist besser als der Überfluss vieler Frevler. (Prov 15,16) 17 Denn die Arme der Frevler werden zerbrechen, aber der HERR erhält die Gerechten. 18 Der HERR kennt die Tage der Frommen, und ihr Erbe wird ewiglich bleiben. (Ec 8,12) 19 Sie werden nicht zuschanden in böser Zeit, und in den Tagen des Hungers werden sie satt werden. (Prov 10,3) 20 Denn die Frevler werden umkommen; und die Feinde des HERRN, wenn sie auch sind wie prächtige Auen, werden sie doch vergehen, wie der Rauch vergeht. 21 Der Frevler muss borgen und bezahlt nicht, aber der Gerechte ist barmherzig und gibt. 22 Denn die Gesegneten des Herrn erben das Land; aber die er verflucht, werden ausgerottet. 23 Von dem HERRN kommt es, wenn eines Mannes Schritte fest werden, und er hat Gefallen an seinem Wege. 24 Fällt er, so stürzt er doch nicht; denn der HERR hält ihn fest an der Hand. (Prov 24,16) 25 Ich bin jung gewesen und alt geworden und habe noch nie den Gerechten verlassen gesehen und seine Kinder um Brot betteln. 26 Er ist allezeit barmherzig und leiht gerne, und seine Nachkommen werden zum Segen sein. (Gen 12,2) 27 Lass ab vom Bösen und tue Gutes, so bleibst du wohnen immerdar. 28 Denn der HERR hat das Recht lieb und verlässt seine Heiligen nicht. Ewiglich werden sie bewahrt, aber das Geschlecht der Frevler wird ausgerottet. 29 Die Gerechten werden das Land ererben und darin wohnen allezeit. (Is 60,21) 30 Der Mund des Gerechten spricht Weisheit, und seine Zunge redet das Recht. 31 Das Gesetz seines Gottes ist in seinem Herzen; seine Tritte gleiten nicht. 32 Der Frevler lauert dem Gerechten auf und sucht ihn zu töten. 33 Aber der HERR lässt ihn nicht in seiner Hand und verdammt ihn nicht, wenn er verurteilt wird. 34 Harre auf den HERRN und halte dich auf seinem Weg, / so wird er dich erhöhen, dass du das Land erbest; du wirst es sehen, dass die Frevler ausgerottet werden. 35 Ich sah einen Frevler, der pochte auf Gewalt und machte sich breit und grünte wie eine Zeder. (1Sam 25,2; Ez 31,3) 36 Da man vorüberging, siehe, da war er dahin. Ich fragte nach ihm; doch ward er nirgends gefunden. 37 Bleibe fromm und halte dich recht; denn einem solchen wird es zuletzt wohlgehen. 38 Die Übertreter aber werden allesamt vertilgt, und die Frevler werden zuletzt ausgerottet. 39 Aber der HERR hilft den Gerechten, er ist ihre Stärke in der Not. 40 Und der HERR wird ihnen beistehen und sie erretten; er wird sie von den Frevlern erretten und ihnen helfen; denn sie trauen auf ihn. (Lu 18,7)

1 No te irrites a causa de los impíos ni envidies a los que cometen injusticias; 2 porque pronto se marchitan, como la hierba; pronto se secan, como el verdor del pasto. 3 Confía en el Señor y haz el bien; establécete en la tierra y manténte fiel. 4 Deléitate en el Señor, y él te concederá los deseos de tu corazón. 5 Encomienda al Señor tu camino; confía en él, y él actuará. 6 Hará que tu justicia resplandezca como el alba; tu justa causa, como el sol de mediodía. 7 Guarda silencio ante el Señor, y espera en él con paciencia; no te irrites ante el éxito de otros, de los que maquinan planes malvados. 8 Refrena tu enojo, abandona la ira; no te irrites, pues esto conduce al mal. 9 Porque los impíos serán exterminados, pero los que esperan en el Señor heredarán la tierra. 10 Dentro de poco los malvados dejarán de existir; por más que los busques, no los encontrarás. 11 Pero los desposeídos heredarán la tierra y disfrutarán de gran bienestar. 12 Los malvados conspiran contra los justos y crujen los dientes contra ellos; 13 pero el Señor se ríe de los malvados, pues sabe que les llegará su hora. 14 Los malvados sacan la espada y tensan el arco para abatir al pobre y al necesitado, para matar a los que viven con rectitud. 15 Pero su propia espada les atravesará el corazón, y su arco quedará hecho pedazos. 16 Más vale lo poco de un justo que lo mucho de innumerables malvados; 17 porque el brazo de los impíos será quebrado, pero el Señor sostendrá a los justos. 18 El Señor protege la vida de los íntegros, y su herencia perdura por siempre. 19 En tiempos difíciles serán prosperados; en épocas de hambre tendrán abundancia. 20 Los malvados, los enemigos del Señor, acabarán por ser destruidos; desaparecerán como las flores silvestres, se desvanecerán como el humo. 21 Los malvados piden prestado y no pagan, pero los justos dan con generosidad. 22 Los benditos del Señor heredarán la tierra, pero los que él maldice serán destruidos. 23 El Señor afirma los pasos del hombre cuando le agrada su modo de vivir; 24 podrá tropezar, pero no caerá, porque el Señor lo sostiene de la mano. 25 He sido joven y ahora soy viejo, pero nunca he visto justos en la miseria, ni que sus hijos mendiguen pan. 26 Prestan siempre con generosidad; sus hijos son una bendición. 27 Apártate del mal y haz el bien, y siempre tendrás dónde vivir. 28 Porque el Señor ama la justicia y no abandona a quienes le son fieles.
