1 Salmo di Davide. Io ti celebrerò con tutto il mio cuore, davanti agli dèi salmeggerò a te. 2 Adorerò rivolto al tuo santo tempio e celebrerò il tuo nome per la tua bontà e per la tua fedeltà; poiché tu hai reso grande la tua parola oltre ogni fama. 3 Nel giorno che ho gridato a te, tu mi hai risposto, mi hai accresciuto la forza nell’anima mia. 4 Tutti i re della terra ti celebreranno, Signore, quando avranno udito le parole della tua bocca; 5 e canteranno le vie del Signore, perché grande è la gloria del Signore. 6 Sì, eccelso è il Signore, eppure ha riguardo per gli umili, e da lontano conosce il superbo. 7 Se cammino in mezzo alle difficoltà, tu mi ridai la vita; tu stendi la mano contro l’ira dei miei nemici e la tua destra mi salva. 8 Il Signore compirà in mio favore l’opera sua; la tua bontà, Signore, dura per sempre; non abbandonare le opere delle tue mani.

1 Von David. Ich danke dir von ganzem Herzen, vor den Göttern will ich dir lobsingen. 2 Ich will anbeten zu deinem heiligen Tempel hin und deinen Namen preisen für deine Güte und Treue; denn du hast dein Wort herrlich gemacht um deines Namens willen. 3 Wenn ich dich anrufe, so erhörst du mich und gibst meiner Seele große Kraft. 4 Es danken dir, HERR, alle Könige auf Erden, dass sie hören das Wort deines Mundes; (Is 2,3) 5 sie singen von den Wegen des HERRN, dass die Herrlichkeit des HERRN so groß ist. 6 Denn der HERR ist hoch und sieht auf den Niedrigen und kennt den Stolzen von ferne. 7 Wenn ich mitten in der Angst wandle, so erquickst du mich und reckst deine Hand gegen den Zorn meiner Feinde und hilfst mir mit deiner Rechten. 8 Der HERR wird’s vollenden um meinetwillen. / HERR, deine Güte ist ewig. Das Werk deiner Hände wollest du nicht lassen.

1 A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. 2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. 3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. 4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth. 5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD. 6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. 7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. 8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

1 Señor, quiero alabarte de todo corazón, y cantarte salmos delante de los dioses. 2 Quiero inclinarme hacia tu santo templo y alabar tu nombre por tu gran amor y fidelidad. Porque has exaltado tu nombre y tu palabra por sobre todas las cosas. 3 Cuando te llamé, me respondiste; me infundiste ánimo y renovaste mis fuerzas. 4 Oh Señor, todos los reyes de la tierra te alabarán al escuchar tus palabras. 5 Celebrarán con cánticos tus caminos, porque tu gloria, Señor, es grande. 6 El Señor es excelso, pero toma en cuenta a los humildes y mira^[1] de lejos a los orgullosos. 7 Aunque pase yo por grandes angustias, tú me darás vida; contra el furor de mis enemigos extenderás la mano: ¡tu mano derecha me pondrá a salvo! 8 El Señor cumplirá en mí su propósito.^[2] Tu gran amor, Señor, perdura para siempre; ¡no abandones la obra de tus manos!
