La grazia divina in favore dei riscattati

1 Celebrate il Signore, perché egli è buono, perché la sua bontà dura in eterno! 2 Così dicano i riscattati del Signore, che egli liberò dalla mano dell’avversario 3 e riunì da tutti i paesi, da oriente e da occidente, da settentrione e da mezzogiorno. 4 Essi vagavano nel deserto per vie desolate; non trovavano città dove poter abitare. 5 Soffrivano la fame e la sete, l’anima veniva meno in loro. 6 Ma nella loro angoscia gridarono al Signore ed egli li liberò dalle loro tribolazioni. 7 Li condusse per la retta via, perché giungessero a una città da abitare. 8 Celebrino il Signore per la sua bontà e per i suoi prodigi in favore degli uomini! 9 Poiché egli ha ristorato l’anima assetata e ha colmato di beni l’anima affamata. 10 Altri dimoravano in tenebre e in ombra di morte, prigionieri nell’afflizione e nelle catene, 11 perché si erano ribellati alle parole di Dio e avevano disprezzato gli avvertimenti dell’Altissimo; 12 perciò egli umiliò i loro cuori nella sofferenza; essi caddero, e nessuno li soccorse. 13 Gridarono al Signore nella loro angoscia ed egli li salvò dalle loro tribolazioni; 14 li fece uscire dalle tenebre e dall’ombra di morte, spezzò le loro catene. 15 Celebrino il Signore per la sua bontà e per i suoi prodigi in favore degli uomini! 16 Poiché egli ha sfondato porte di bronzo e ha spezzato sbarre di ferro. 17 Soffrivano, gli stolti, per il loro comportamento ribelle e per le proprie colpe; 18 l’anima loro rifiutava qualsiasi cibo ed erano giunti fino alle soglie della morte. 19 Nell’angoscia gridarono al Signore ed egli li liberò dalle loro tribolazioni. 20 Mandò la sua parola e li guarì, li salvò dalla morte. 21 Celebrino il Signore per la sua bontà e per i suoi prodigi in favore degli uomini! 22 Offrano sacrifici di lode e raccontino le sue opere con gioia! 23 Quelli che solcano il mare su navi e trafficano sulle grandi acque, 24 vedono le opere del Signore e le sue meraviglie negli abissi marini. 25 Egli comanda, e fa soffiare la tempesta che solleva le onde. 26 Salgono al cielo, scendono negli abissi; l’anima loro vien meno per l’angoscia. 27 Traballano, barcollano come ubriachi e tutta la loro abilità svanisce. 28 Ma nell’angoscia gridano al Signore ed egli li libera dalle loro tribolazioni. 29 Egli riduce la tempesta al silenzio e le onde del mare si calmano. 30 Si rallegrano alla vista delle acque calme ed egli li conduce al porto tanto sospirato. 31 Celebrino il Signore per la sua bontà e per i suoi prodigi in favore degli uomini. 32 Lo esaltino nell’assemblea del popolo e lo lodino nel consiglio degli anziani! 33 Egli muta i fiumi in deserto e le fonti d’acqua in luoghi aridi; 34 la terra fertile in pianura di sale, per la malvagità dei suoi abitanti. 35 Egli muta il deserto in lago e la terra arida in fonti d’acqua. 36 Là fa risiedere gli affamati ed essi fondano una città da abitare. 37 Vi seminano campi e vi piantano vigne e ne raccolgono frutti abbondanti. 38 Egli li benedice perché crescano di numero e non lascia diminuire il loro bestiame. 39 Ma poi, ridotti a pochi, sono umiliati per l’oppressione, per l’avversità e gli affanni. 40 Egli getta il disprezzo sui potenti e li fa errare per deserti senza strade; 41 ma solleva il povero dalla miseria e rende le famiglie numerose come greggi. 42 Gli uomini retti lo vedono, si rallegrano e ogni malvagio ha la bocca chiusa. 43 Chi è saggio osservi queste cose e consideri la bontà del Signore.

Danklied der Erlösten

1 Danket dem HERRN; denn er ist freundlich, und seine Güte währet ewiglich. (Sal 106,1) 2 So sollen sagen, die erlöst sind durch den HERRN, die er aus der Not erlöst hat, 3 die er aus den Ländern zusammengebracht hat von Osten und Westen, von Norden und Süden. 4 Die irregingen in der Wüste, auf ungebahntem Wege, und fanden keine Stadt, in der sie wohnen konnten, 5 die hungrig und durstig waren und deren Seele verschmachtete, 6 die dann zum HERRN riefen in ihrer Not und er errettete sie aus ihren Ängsten 7 und führte sie den richtigen Weg, dass sie kamen zur Stadt, in der sie wohnen konnten: 8 Die sollen dem HERRN danken für seine Güte / und für seine Wunder, die er an den Menschenkindern tut, 9 dass er sättigt die durstige Seele und die Hungrigen füllt mit Gutem. (Lu 1,53) 10 Die da sitzen mussten in Finsternis und Dunkel, gefangen in Zwang und Eisen, 11 weil sie Gottes Worten ungehorsam waren und den Ratschluss des Höchsten verachtet hatten, 12 sodass er ihr Herz durch Unglück beugte und sie stürzten und ihnen niemand half, 13 die dann zum HERRN riefen in ihrer Not und er half ihnen aus ihren Ängsten 14 und führte sie aus Finsternis und Dunkel und zerriss ihre Bande: 15 Die sollen dem HERRN danken für seine Güte / und für seine Wunder, die er an den Menschenkindern tut, 16 dass er zerbrach eherne Türen und zerschlug eiserne Riegel. 17 Die Toren, die geplagt waren um ihrer Übertretung und um ihrer Sünde willen, 18 dass ihnen ekelte vor aller Speise und sie nahe waren den Pforten des Todes, 19 die dann zum HERRN riefen in ihrer Not und er half ihnen aus ihren Ängsten, 20 er sandte sein Wort und machte sie gesund und errettete sie, dass sie nicht starben: 21 Die sollen dem HERRN danken für seine Güte / und für seine Wunder, die er an den Menschenkindern tut, 22 und sollen Dank opfern und erzählen seine Werke mit Freuden. 23 Die mit Schiffen auf dem Meere fuhren und trieben ihren Handel auf großen Wassern, 24 die des HERRN Werke erfahren haben und seine Wunder im Meer, 25 wenn er sprach und einen Sturmwind erregte, der die Wellen erhob, (Sal 104,4; Gion 1,4) 26 und sie gen Himmel fuhren und in den Abgrund sanken, dass ihre Seele vor Angst verzagte, 27 dass sie taumelten und wankten wie ein Trunkener und wussten keinen Rat mehr, 28 die dann zum HERRN schrien in ihrer Not und er führte sie aus ihren Ängsten 29 und stillte das Ungewitter, dass die Wellen sich legten 30 und sie froh wurden, dass es still geworden war und er sie zum ersehnten Hafen brachte: 31 Die sollen dem HERRN danken für seine Güte / und für seine Wunder, die er an den Menschenkindern tut, 32 und ihn in der Gemeinde preisen und bei den Alten rühmen. 33 Er machte Ströme zur Wüste und Wasserquellen zum öden Land, 34 dass fruchtbares Land zur Salzwüste wurde wegen der Bosheit derer, die dort wohnten. (Gen 19,24) 35 Er machte das Trockene wieder wasserreich und gab dem dürren Lande Wasserquellen (Is 41,18) 36 und ließ die Hungrigen dort bleiben, dass sie eine Stadt bauten, in der sie wohnen konnten, 37 und Äcker besäten und Weinberge pflanzten, die reichlich Früchte trugen. 38 Und er segnete sie, dass sie sich sehr mehrten, und gab ihnen viel Vieh. 39 Aber sie wurden gering an Zahl und geschwächt von der Last des Unglücks und des Kummers. 40 Er schüttete Verachtung aus auf die Fürsten und ließ sie irren in der Wüste, wo kein Weg ist; (Giob 12,21) 41 aber die Armen schützte er vor Elend und mehrte ihre Geschlechter wie eine Herde. 42 Das werden die Aufrichtigen sehen und sich freuen, und aller Bosheit wird das Maul gestopft werden. (Giob 22,19) 43 Wer ist weise und behält dies? Der wird merken, wie viel Wohltaten der HERR erweist.

1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so , whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; 3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. 4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. 5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. 6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. 7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. 8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. 10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; 11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High: 12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help. 13 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. 15 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 16 For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder. 17 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. 18 Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. 19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. 20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. 21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing. 23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; 24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep. 25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. 26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits'end. 28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. 29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. 30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. 31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders. 33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; 34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein. 35 He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings. 36 And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation; 37 And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase. 38 He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease. 39 Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow. 40 He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way. 41 Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock. 42 The righteous shall see it , and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. 43 Whoso is wise, and will observe these things , even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

1 Den gracias al Señor, porque él es bueno; su gran amor perdura para siempre. 2 Que lo digan los redimidos del Señor, a quienes redimió del poder del adversario, 3 a quienes reunió de todos los países, de oriente y de occidente, del norte y del sur.^[1] 4 Vagaban perdidos por parajes desiertos, sin dar con el camino a una ciudad habitable. 5 Hambrientos y sedientos, la vida se les iba consumiendo. 6 En su angustia clamaron al Señor, y él los libró de su aflicción. 7 Los llevó por el camino recto hasta llegar a una ciudad habitable. 8 ¡Que den gracias al Señor por su gran amor, por sus maravillas en favor de los hombres! 9 ¡Él apaga la sed del sediento, y sacia con lo mejor al hambriento! 10 Afligidos y encadenados, habitaban en las más densas tinieblas 11 por haberse rebelado contra las palabras de Dios, por menospreciar los designios del Altísimo. 12 Los sometió^[2] a trabajos forzados; tropezaban, y no había quien los ayudara. 13 En su angustia clamaron al Señor, y él los salvó de su aflicción. 14 Los sacó de las sombras tenebrosas y rompió en pedazos sus cadenas. 15 ¡Que den gracias al Señor por su gran amor, por sus maravillas en favor de los hombres! 16 ¡Él hace añicos las puertas de bronce y rompe en mil pedazos las barras de hierro! 17 Trastornados por su rebeldía, afligidos por su iniquidad, 18 todo alimento les causaba asco. ¡Llegaron a las puertas mismas de la muerte! 19 En su angustia clamaron al Señor, y él los salvó de su aflicción. 20 Envió su palabra para sanarlos, y así los rescató del sepulcro. 21 ¡Que den gracias al Señor por su gran amor, por sus maravillas en favor de los hombres! 22 ¡Que ofrezcan sacrificios de gratitud, y jubilosos proclamen sus obras! 23 Se hicieron a la mar en sus barcos; para comerciar surcaron las muchas aguas. 24 Allí, en las aguas profundas, vieron las obras del Señor y sus maravillas. 25 Habló Dios, y se desató un fuerte viento que tanto encrespó las olas 26 que subían a los cielos y bajaban al abismo. Ante el peligro, ellos perdieron el coraje. 27 Como ebrios tropezaban, se tambaleaban; de nada les valía toda su pericia. 28 En su angustia clamaron al Señor, y él los sacó de su aflicción. 29 Cambió la tempestad en suave brisa: se sosegaron las olas del mar. 30 Ante esa calma se alegraron, y Dios los llevó al puerto anhelado. 31 ¡Que den gracias al Señor por su gran amor, por sus maravillas en favor de los hombres! 32 ¡Que lo exalten en la asamblea del pueblo! ¡Que lo alaben en el consejo de los ancianos! 33 Dios convirtió los ríos en desiertos, los manantiales en tierra seca, 34 los fértiles terrenos en tierra salitrosa, por la maldad de sus habitantes. 35 Convirtió el desierto en fuentes de agua, la tierra seca en manantiales; 36 hizo habitar allí a los hambrientos, y ellos fundaron una ciudad habitable. 37 Sembraron campos, plantaron viñedos, obtuvieron abundantes cosechas. 38 Dios los bendijo y se multiplicaron, y no dejó que menguaran sus rebaños. 39 Pero si merman y son humillados, es por la opresión, la maldad y la aflicción. 40 Dios desdeña a los nobles y los hace vagar por desiertos sin senderos. 41 Pero a los necesitados los saca de su miseria, y hace que sus familias crezcan como rebaños. 42 Los rectos lo verán y se alegrarán, pero todos los impíos serán acallados. 43 Quien sea sabio, que considere estas cosas y entienda bien el gran amor del Señor.
