Due uomini, due vie, due destini

1 Beato l’uomo che non cammina secondo il consiglio degli empi, che non si ferma nella via dei peccatori, né si siede in compagnia degli schernitori, 2 ma il cui diletto è nella legge del Signore e su quella legge medita giorno e notte. 3 Egli sarà come un albero piantato vicino a ruscelli, il quale dà il suo frutto nella sua stagione e il cui fogliame non appassisce; e tutto quello che fa prospererà. 4 Non così gli empi, anzi sono come pula che il vento disperde. 5 Perciò gli empi non reggeranno davanti al giudizio, né i peccatori nell’assemblea dei giusti. 6 Poiché il Signore conosce la via dei giusti, ma la via degli empi conduce alla rovina.

1 Wohl dem, der nicht wandelt im Rat der Gottlosen^[1] / noch tritt auf den Weg der Sünder noch sitzt, wo die Spötter sitzen, (Sal 26,4; Sal 119,1; Prov 4,14; Ger 15,17)

2 sondern hat Lust am Gesetz des HERRN und sinnt über seinem Gesetz Tag und Nacht! (Gios 1,8; Sal 119,148) 3 Der ist wie ein Baum, gepflanzt an den Wasserbächen, / der seine Frucht bringt zu seiner Zeit, und seine Blätter verwelken nicht. Und was er macht, das gerät wohl. (Sal 92,13; Ger 17,8) 4 Aber so sind die Gottlosen nicht, sondern wie Spreu, die der Wind verstreut. 5 Darum bestehen die Gottlosen nicht im Gericht noch die Sünder in der Gemeinde der Gerechten. 6 Denn der HERR kennt den Weg der Gerechten, aber der Gottlosen Weg vergeht.

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

1 Dichoso el hombre que no sigue el consejo de los malvados, ni se detiene en la senda de los pecadores ni cultiva la amistad de los blasfemos, 2 sino que en la ley del Señor se deleita, y día y noche medita en ella. 3 Es como el árbol plantado a la orilla de un río que, cuando llega su tiempo, da fruto y sus hojas jamás se marchitan. ¡Todo cuanto hace prospera! 4 En cambio, los malvados son como paja arrastrada por el viento. 5 Por eso no se sostendrán los malvados en el juicio, ni los pecadores en la asamblea de los justos. 6 Porque el Señor cuida el camino de los justos, mas la senda de los malos lleva a la perdición.
