Discendenti di Esaù

1 Questa è la discendenza di Esaù, cioè Edom. 2 Esaù prese le sue mogli tra le figlie dei Cananei: Ada, figlia di Elon, l’Ittita; Oolibama, figlia di Ana, 3 figlia di Sibeon, l’Ivveo; e Basmat, figlia d’Ismaele, sorella di Nebaiot. 4 Ada partorì Elifaz a Esaù. 5 Basmat partorì Reuel; e Oolibama partorì Ieus, Ialam e Cora. Questi sono i figli di Esaù, che gli nacquero nel paese di Canaan. 6 Esaù prese le sue mogli, i suoi figli, le sue figlie, tutte le persone della sua casa, le sue greggi, tutto il suo bestiame e tutti i beni che aveva messi insieme nel paese di Canaan, e se ne andò in un altro paese, lontano da Giacobbe suo fratello, 7 poiché il loro bestiame era troppo numeroso perché essi potessero abitare insieme; il paese nel quale soggiornavano non era loro sufficiente a causa del loro bestiame. 8 Così Esaù abitò sulla montagna di Seir. Das sind die Söhne von Ada, der Frau Esaus. 13 Die Söhne aber Reguëls sind diese: Nahat, Serach, Schamma, Misa. Das sind die Fürsten von Reguël im Lande der Edomiter und sind Söhne von der Basemat, der Frau Esaus. 18 Dies sind die Söhne Oholibamas, der Frau Esaus: der Fürst Jëusch, der Fürst Jalam, der Fürst Korach. Das sind die Fürsten von Oholibama, der Tochter des Ana, der Frau Esaus. 19 Das sind Esaus Söhne und ihre Stammesfürsten. Das ist Edom. 20 Die Söhne aber von Seïr, dem Horiter, die im Lande wohnten, sind diese: Lotan, Schobal, Zibon, Ana, (Gen 14,6; De 2,12; De 2,22) 21 Dischon, Ezer und Dischan. Das sind die Stammesfürsten der Horiter, Söhne des Seïr, im Lande Edom. 22 Aber des Lotan Söhne waren Hori und Hemam; und Lotans Schwester hieß Timna. 23 Die Söhne von Schobal waren diese: Alwan, Manahat, Ebal, Schefi und Onam. 24 Die Söhne von Zibon waren diese: Aja und Ana. Das ist der Ana, der in der Steppe die warmen Quellen fand, als er die Esel seines Vaters Zibon hütete. 25 Der Sohn Anas aber war: Dischon; und Oholibama war die Tochter Anas. 26 Die Söhne Dischons waren: Hemdan, Eschban, Jitran und Keran. 27 Die Söhne Ezers waren: Bilhan, Saawan und Akan. 28 Die Söhne Dischans waren: Uz und Aran. 29 Dies sind die Stammesfürsten der Horiter: der Fürst Lotan, der Fürst Schobal, der Fürst Zibon, der Fürst Ana, 30 der Fürst Dischon, der Fürst Ezer, der Fürst Dischan. Die früheren Könige der Edomiter

31 Die Könige aber, die im Lande Edom regiert haben, bevor ein König über die Israeliten herrschte, sind diese: (Nu 20,14) 32 Bela war König von Edom, ein Sohn Beors, und seine Stadt hieß Dinhaba. 33 Und als Bela starb, wurde König an seiner statt Jobab, ein Sohn Serachs von Bozra. 34 Als Jobab starb, wurde an seiner statt König Huscham aus dem Lande der Temaniter. 35 Als Huscham starb, wurde König an seiner statt Hadad, ein Sohn Bedads, der die Midianiter schlug auf dem Felde der Moabiter; und seine Stadt hieß Awit. 36 Als Hadad starb, wurde Samla von Masreka König an seiner statt. 37 Als Samla starb, wurde Schaul von Rehobot am Fluss König an seiner statt. 38 Als Schaul starb, wurde König an seiner statt Baal-Hanan, der Sohn Achbors. 39 Als Baal-Hanan, Achbors Sohn, starb, wurde König an seiner statt Hadar; und seine Stadt hieß Pagu und seine Frau hieß Mehetabel, eine Tochter Matreds, die Me-Sahabs Tochter war.

Die Stammesfürsten der Edomiter

40 So heißen die Stammesfürsten von Esau nach ihren Geschlechtern, Orten und Namen: der Fürst Timna, der Fürst Alwa, der Fürst Jetet, 41 der Fürst Oholibama, der Fürst Ela, der Fürst Pinon, 42 der Fürst Kenas, der Fürst Teman, der Fürst Mibzar, 43 der Fürst Magdiël, der Fürst Iram. Das sind die Fürsten von Edom nach ihren Wohnsitzen in ihrem Erblande. Das ist Esau, der Stammvater der Edomiter.

1 Éstos son los descendientes de Esaú, o sea Edom. 2 Esaú se casó con mujeres cananeas: con Ada, hija de Elón el hitita; con Aholibama, hija de Aná y nieta de Zibeón el heveo; 3 y con Basemat, hija de Ismael y hermana de Nebayot. 4 Esaú tuvo estos hijos: con Ada tuvo a Elifaz; con Basemat, a Reuel; 5 con Aholibama, a Jeús, Jalán y Coré. Este último es el mismo que encontró las aguas termales^[1] en el desierto mientras cuidaba los asnos de su padre Zibeón. 25 Los hijos de Aná fueron: Disón y Aholibama, hija de Aná. 26 Los hijos de Disón fueron Hemdán, Esbán, Itrán y Querán. 27 Los hijos de Ezer fueron Bilán, Zaván y Acán. 28 Los hijos de Disán fueron Uz y Arán. 29 Los jefes de los horeos fueron Lotán, Sobal, Zibeón, Aná, 30 Disón, Ezer y Disán. Cada uno de ellos fue jefe de su tribu en la región de Seír.

31 Antes de que los israelitas tuvieran rey, éstos fueron los reyes que reinaron en el país de Edom: 32 Bela hijo de Beor, que reinó en Edom. El nombre de su ciudad era Dinaba. 33 Cuando murió Bela, reinó en su lugar Jobab hijo de Zera, que provenía de Bosra. 34 Cuando murió Jobab, reinó en su lugar Jusán, que venía de la región de Temán. 35 Cuando murió Jusán, reinó en su lugar Hadad hijo de Bedad. Éste derrotó a Madián en el campo de Moab. El nombre de su ciudad era Avit. 36 Cuando murió Hadad, reinó en su lugar Samla, que era del pueblo de Masreca. 37 Cuando murió Samla, reinó en su lugar Saúl de Rejobot del Río. 38 Cuando murió Saúl, reinó en su lugar Baal Janán hijo de Acbor. 39 Cuando murió Baal Janán hijo de Acbor, reinó en su lugar Hadad.^[2] El nombre de su ciudad era Pau. Su esposa se llamaba Mehitabel, y era hija de Matred y nieta de Mezab. 40 Éstos son los nombres de los jefes que descendieron de Esaú, cada uno según su clan y región: Timná, Alvá, Jetet, 41 Aholibama, Elá, Pinón, 42 Quenaz, Temán, Mibzar, 43 Magdiel e Iram. Éstos fueron los jefes de Edom, según los lugares que habitaron. Éste fue Esaú, padre de los edomitas.
