Sacrificio d’Isacco

1 Dopo queste cose, Dio mise alla prova Abraamo e gli disse: «Abraamo!» Egli rispose: «Eccomi». 2 E Dio disse: «Prendi ora tuo figlio, il tuo unico, colui che ami, Isacco, e va’ nel paese di Moria, e offrilo là in olocausto sopra uno dei monti che ti dirò». 3 Abraamo si alzò la mattina di buon’ora, sellò il suo asino, prese con sé due suoi servi e suo figlio Isacco, spaccò della legna per l’olocausto, poi partì verso il luogo che Dio gli aveva indicato. 4 Il terzo giorno Abraamo alzò gli occhi e vide da lontano il luogo. 5 Allora Abraamo disse ai suoi servi: «Rimanete qui con l’asino; io e il ragazzo andremo fin là e adoreremo; poi torneremo da voi». 6 Abraamo prese la legna per l’olocausto e la mise addosso a Isacco suo figlio, prese in mano il fuoco e il coltello, poi proseguirono tutti e due insieme. 7 Isacco parlò ad Abraamo suo padre e disse: «Padre mio!» Abraamo rispose: «Eccomi qui, figlio mio». E Isacco: «Ecco il fuoco e la legna; ma dov’è l’agnello per l’olocausto?» 8 Abraamo rispose: «Figlio mio, Dio stesso si provvederà l’agnello per l’olocausto». E proseguirono tutti e due insieme. 9 Giunsero al luogo che Dio gli aveva detto. Abraamo costruì l’altare e vi accomodò la legna; legò Isacco suo figlio e lo mise sull’altare, sopra la legna. 10 Abraamo stese la mano e prese il coltello per scannare suo figlio. 11 Ma l’angelo del Signore lo chiamò dal cielo e disse: «Abraamo, Abraamo!» Egli rispose: «Eccomi». 12 E l’angelo: «Non stendere la mano contro il ragazzo e non fargli male! Ora so che tu temi Dio, poiché non mi hai rifiutato tuo figlio, l’unico tuo». 13 Abraamo alzò gli occhi, guardò, ed ecco dietro a sé un montone, impigliato per le corna in un cespuglio. Abraamo andò, prese il montone e l’offerse in olocausto invece di suo figlio. 14 Abraamo chiamò quel luogo «Iavè-Irè^[1]». Per questo si dice oggi: «Al monte del Signore sarà provveduto». 15 L’angelo del Signore chiamò dal cielo Abraamo una seconda volta e disse: 16 «Io giuro per me stesso», dice il Signore, «che, siccome tu hai fatto questo e non mi hai rifiutato tuo figlio, l’unico tuo, 17 io ti colmerò di benedizioni e moltiplicherò la tua discendenza come le stelle del cielo e come la sabbia che è sul lido del mare; e la tua discendenza s’impadronirà delle città dei suoi nemici. 18 Tutte le nazioni della terra saranno benedette nella tua discendenza, perché tu hai ubbidito alla mia voce». 19 Poi Abraamo tornò dai suoi servi. Essi si levarono e insieme andarono a Beer-Sceba. E Abraamo abitò a Beer-Sceba. 20 Dopo queste cose fu riferito ad Abraamo questo: «Ecco, Milca ha partorito anch’ella dei figli a Naor, tuo fratello: 21 Uz, il primogenito, Buz, suo fratello, 22 Chemuel padre di Aram, Chesed, Azo, Pildas, Idlaf e Betuel». 23 E Betuel generò Rebecca. Questi otto Milca partorì a Naor, fratello di Abraamo. 24 E la concubina di lui, che si chiamava Reuma, partorì anch’essa Teba, Gaam, Taas e Maaca.

Das Opfer Abrahams

1 Nach diesen Geschichten versuchte Gott Abraham und sprach zu ihm: Abraham! Und er antwortete: Hier bin ich. (Eso 15,25; Eso 16,4; Eso 20,20; De 8,2; De 13,4; Giudic 2,22; Eb 11,17; Giac 1,13)

2 Und er sprach: Nimm Isaak, deinen einzigen Sohn, den du lieb hast, und geh hin in das Land Morija und opfere ihn dort zum Brandopfer auf einem Berge, den ich dir sagen werde. 3 Da stand Abraham früh am Morgen auf und gürtete seinen Esel und nahm mit sich zwei Knechte und seinen Sohn Isaak und spaltete Holz zum Brandopfer, machte sich auf und ging hin an den Ort, von dem ihm Gott gesagt hatte. 4 Am dritten Tage hob Abraham seine Augen auf und sah die Stätte von ferne. 5 Und Abraham sprach zu seinen Knechten: Bleibt ihr hier mit dem Esel. Ich und der Knabe wollen dorthin gehen, und wenn wir angebetet haben, wollen wir wieder zu euch kommen. 6 Und Abraham nahm das Holz zum Brandopfer und legte es auf seinen Sohn Isaak. Er aber nahm das Feuer und das Messer in seine Hand; und gingen die beiden miteinander. 7 Da sprach Isaak zu seinem Vater Abraham: Mein Vater! Abraham antwortete: Hier bin ich, mein Sohn. Und er sprach: Siehe, hier ist Feuer und Holz; wo ist aber das Schaf zum Brandopfer? 8 Abraham antwortete: Mein Sohn, Gott wird sich ersehen ein Schaf zum Brandopfer. Und gingen die beiden miteinander. 9 Und als sie an die Stätte kamen, die ihm Gott gesagt hatte, baute Abraham dort einen Altar und legte das Holz darauf und band seinen Sohn Isaak, legte ihn auf den Altar oben auf das Holz 10 und reckte seine Hand aus und fasste das Messer, dass er seinen Sohn schlachtete. (Mat 26,39; Giac 2,21) 11 Da rief ihn der Engel des HERRN vom Himmel und sprach: Abraham! Abraham! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich. 12 Er sprach: Lege deine Hand nicht an den Knaben und tu ihm nichts; denn nun weiß ich, dass du Gott fürchtest und hast deines einzigen Sohnes nicht verschont um meinetwillen. (Ro 8,32; Eb 11,17) 13 Da hob Abraham seine Augen auf und sah einen Widder hinter sich im Gestrüpp mit seinen Hörnern hängen und ging hin und nahm den Widder und opferte ihn zum Brandopfer an seines Sohnes statt. 14 Und Abraham nannte die Stätte »Der HERR sieht«. Daher man noch heute sagt: Auf dem Berge, da der HERR sich sehen lässt. (Gen 16,13) 15 Und der Engel des HERRN rief Abraham abermals vom Himmel her 16 und sprach: Ich habe bei mir selbst geschworen, spricht der HERR: Weil du solches getan hast und hast deines einzigen Sohnes nicht verschont, (Eso 32,13; Is 45,23; Am 6,8; Mi 7,20; Lu 1,73; Eb 6,13)

17 will ich dich segnen und deine Nachkommen mehren wie die Sterne am Himmel und wie den Sand am Ufer des Meeres, und deine Nachkommen sollen die Tore ihrer Feinde besitzen; (Gen 13,16; Eb 11,12) 18 und durch deine Nachkommen sollen alle Völker auf Erden gesegnet werden, weil du meiner Stimme gehorcht hast. (Gen 12,3; Ga 3,16) 19 So kehrte Abraham zurück zu seinen Knechten. Und sie machten sich auf und zogen miteinander nach Beerscheba und Abraham blieb daselbst.

Die Nachkommen Nahors

20 Nach diesen Geschichten begab sich’s, dass Abraham angesagt wurde: Siehe, Milka hat auch Söhne geboren deinem Bruder Nahor, (Gen 11,29) 21 nämlich Uz, den Erstgeborenen, und Bus, seinen Bruder, und Kemuël, von dem die Aramäer herkommen, 22 und Kesed und Haso und Pildasch und Jidlaf und Betuël. 23 Betuël aber zeugte Rebekka. Diese acht gebar Milka dem Nahor, Abrahams Bruder. (Gen 24,15) 24 Und seine Nebenfrau, mit Namen Rëuma, gebar auch, nämlich den Tebach, Gaham, Tahasch und Maacha.

1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am . 2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you. 6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. 7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. 9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. 11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. 12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. 15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son : 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. 19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba. 20 And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also born children unto thy brother Nahor; 21 Huz his firstborn, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram, 22 And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel. 23 And Bethuel begat Rebekah: these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor, Abraham' brother. 24 And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she bare also Tebah, and Gaham, and Thahash, and Maachah.

Dios prueba a Abraham

1 Pasado cierto tiempo, Dios puso a prueba a Abraham y le dijo: —¡Abraham! —Aquí estoy —respondió. 2 Y Dios le ordenó: —Toma a tu hijo, el único que tienes y al que tanto amas, y ve a la región de Moria. Una vez allí, ofrécelo como holocausto en el monte que yo te indicaré. 3 Abraham se levantó de madrugada y ensilló su asno. También cortó leña para el holocausto y, junto con dos de sus criados y su hijo Isaac, se encaminó hacia el lugar que Dios le había indicado. 4 Al tercer día, Abraham alzó los ojos y a lo lejos vio el lugar. 5 Entonces le dijo a sus criados: —Quédense aquí con el asno. El muchacho y yo seguiremos adelante para adorar a Dios, y luego regresaremos junto a ustedes. 6 Abraham tomó la leña del holocausto y la puso sobre Isaac, su hijo; él, por su parte, cargó con el fuego y el cuchillo. Y los dos siguieron caminando juntos. 7 Isaac le dijo a Abraham: —¡Padre! —Dime, hijo mío. —Aquí tenemos el fuego y la leña —continuó Isaac—; pero, ¿dónde está el cordero para el holocausto? 8 —El cordero, hijo mío, lo proveerá Dios —le respondió Abraham. Y siguieron caminando juntos. 9 Cuando llegaron al lugar señalado por Dios, Abraham construyó un altar y preparó la leña. Después ató a su hijo Isaac y lo puso sobre el altar, encima de la leña. 10 Entonces tomó el cuchillo para sacrificar a su hijo, 11 pero en ese momento el ángel del Señor le gritó desde el cielo: —¡Abraham! ¡Abraham! —Aquí estoy —respondió. 12 —No pongas tu mano sobre el muchacho, ni le hagas ningún daño —le dijo el ángel—. Ahora sé que temes a Dios, porque ni siquiera te has negado a darme a tu único hijo. 13 Abraham alzó la vista y, en un matorral, vio un carnero enredado por los cuernos. Fue entonces, tomó el carnero y lo ofreció como holocausto, en lugar de su hijo. 14 A ese sitio Abraham le puso por nombre: «El Señor provee.» Por eso hasta el día de hoy se dice: «En un monte provee el Señor.» 15 El ángel del Señor llamó a Abraham por segunda vez desde el cielo, 16 y le dijo: —Como has hecho esto, y no me has negado a tu único hijo, juro por mí mismo —afirma el Señor— 17 que te bendeciré en gran manera, y que multiplicaré tu descendencia como las estrellas del cielo y como la arena del mar. Además, tus descendientes conquistarán las ciudades de sus enemigos. 18 Puesto que me has obedecido, todas las naciones del mundo serán bendecidas por medio de tu descendencia. 19 Abraham regresó al lugar donde estaban sus criados, y juntos partieron hacia Berseba, donde Abraham se quedó a vivir.

Los hijos de Najor

20 Pasado cierto tiempo, Abraham recibió la noticia de que también Milca le había dado hijos a su hermano Najor. 21 Su hijo primogénito fue Uz; luego nacieron sus hermanos Buz y Quemuel. Este último fue el padre de Aram. 22 Después siguieron Quésed, Jazó, Pildás, Yidlaf y Betuel, 23 que fue el padre de Rebeca. Éstos fueron los ocho hijos que Milca le dio a Najor, hermano de Abraham. 24 Najor también tuvo hijos con Reumá, su concubina. Ellos fueron Tébaj, Gaján, Tajás y Macá.
