1 Salmo dei figli di Core. Cantico.

(Sal 68,26; Sal 149,3; Is 12,3; Ez 47,1)

Salmo 87

King James Version

1 A Psalm or Song for the sons of Korah. His foundation is in the holy mountains.2 The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.6 The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.7 As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there : all my springs are in thee.

1 A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. A Song. On the holy mount stands the city he founded; (Sal 42,1; Sal 48,1; Is 28,16)2 the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob. (Sal 78,67)3 Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God. (Sal 46,4; Is 54,1; Is 60,1)4 Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush[1]— “This one was born there,” they say. (Giob 9,13; Sal 36,10; Sal 68,31; Is 19,22; Giov 10,14)5 And of Zion it shall be said, “This one and that one were born in her”; for the Most High himself will establish her. (Sal 48,8)6 The Lord records as he registers the peoples, “This one was born there.” (Sal 69,28)7 Singers and dancers alike say, “All my springs are in you.” (2Sam 6,14; Sal 36,9; Sal 68,25; Is 12,3; Ap 21,6)
