L’onnipotenza di Dio

1 Salmo di Davide. Date al Signore, o figli di Dio, date al Signore gloria e forza! 2 Date al Signore la gloria dovuta al suo nome; adorate il Signore con santa magnificenza. 3 La voce del Signore è sulle acque; il Dio di gloria tuona; il Signore è sulle grandi acque. 4 La voce del Signore è potente, la voce del Signore è piena di maestà. 5 La voce del Signore rompe i cedri; il Signore spezza i cedri del Libano. 6 Fa saltellare i monti come vitelli, il Libano e l’Ermon come giovani bufali. 7 La voce del Signore fa guizzare i fulmini. 8 La voce del Signore fa tremare il deserto; il Signore fa tremare il deserto di Cades. 9 La voce del Signore fa partorire le cerve e sfronda le selve. E nel suo tempio tutto esclama: «Gloria!» 10 Il Signore sedeva sovrano sul diluvio, anzi il Signore siede re per sempre. 11 Il Signore darà forza al suo popolo; il Signore benedirà il suo popolo dandogli pace.

1 Ein Psalm. Von David. Gebt dem HERRN, ihr Göttersöhne, gebt dem HERRN Herrlichkeit und Kraft! (Sal 68,35; Sal 89,7; Sal 96,7) 2 Gebt dem HERRN die Herrlichkeit seines Namens; betet an den HERRN in heiliger Pracht^[1]! (Sal 96,8; Sal 110,3; Ap 7,12) 3 Die Stimme des HERRN^[2] ist über den Wassern, der Gott der Herrlichkeit donnert; der HERR über großen Wassern. (Sal 18,14; At 7,2) 4 Die Stimme des HERRN ⟨ertönt⟩ mit Macht, die Stimme des HERRN in Majestät. (Giob 40,9; Sal 68,34; Sal 93,4; Is 30,30; Ap 1,10)

5 Die Stimme des HERRN zerbricht Zedern, ja, der HERR zerbricht die Zedern des Libanon. (Is 2,13) 6 Er lässt sie hüpfen wie ein Kalb, den Libanon und Sirjon^[3] wie einen jungen Büffel. (Sal 114,4) 7 Die Stimme des HERRN sprüht Feuerflammen, (Sal 18,14) 8 die Stimme des HERRN erschüttert die Wüste, der HERR erschüttert die Wüste Kadesch. 9 Die Stimme des HERRN macht Hirschkühe kreißen und lässt Zicklein vorzeitig gebären^[4] … Und in seinem Tempel sagt alles: Herrlichkeit! (Giob 39,1) 10 Der HERR thront auf der Wasserflut, der HERR thront als König in Ewigkeit. (Sal 9,8) 11 Der HERR möge Kraft geben seinem Volk, der HERR möge sein Volk segnen mit Frieden. (Sal 68,36; Is 26,12)

2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.^[2] (Eso 28,2; 1Cr 16,29; Sal 110,3) 3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, over many waters. (Giob 37,4; Giob 37,5; Sal 18,11) 4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. 1 Tributen al Señor, seres celestiales,^[1] tributen al Señor la gloria y el poder. 2 Tributen al Señor la gloria que merece su nombre; póstrense ante el Señor en su santuario majestuoso. 3 La voz del Señor está sobre las aguas; resuena el trueno del Dios de la gloria; el Señor está sobre las aguas impetuosas. 4 La voz del Señor resuena potente; la voz del Señor resuena majestuosa. 5 La voz del Señor desgaja los cedros, desgaja el Señor los cedros del Líbano; 6 hace que el Líbano salte como becerro, y que el Hermón^[2] salte cual toro salvaje. 7 La voz del Señor lanza ráfagas de fuego; 8 la voz del Señor sacude al desierto; el Señor sacude al desierto de Cades. 9 La voz del Señor retuerce los robles^[3] y deja desnudos los bosques; en su templo todos gritan: «¡Gloria!» 10 El Señor tiene su trono sobre las lluvias; el Señor reina por siempre. 11 El Señor fortalece a su pueblo; el Señor bendice a su pueblo con la paz.
