1Fratelli, se uno viene sorpreso in colpa, voi, che siete spirituali, rialzatelo con spirito di mansuetudine. Bada bene a te stesso, che anche tu non sia tentato.2Portate i pesi gli uni degli altri e adempirete così la legge di Cristo.3Infatti se uno pensa di essere qualcosa pur non essendo nulla, inganna se stesso.4Ciascuno esamini invece l’opera propria; così avrà modo di vantarsi in rapporto a se stesso e non perché si paragona agli altri.5Ciascuno infatti porterà il proprio fardello.6Chi viene istruito nella parola faccia parte di tutti i suoi beni a chi lo istruisce.7Non vi ingannate, non ci si può beffare di Dio; perché quello che l’uomo avrà seminato, quello pure mieterà.8Perché chi semina per la sua carne, mieterà corruzione dalla carne; ma chi semina per lo Spirito mieterà dallo Spirito vita eterna.9Non ci scoraggiamo di fare il bene; perché, se non ci stanchiamo, mieteremo a suo tempo.10Così dunque, finché ne abbiamo l’opportunità, facciamo del bene a tutti, ma specialmente ai fratelli in fede.11Guardate con che grossi caratteri vi ho scritto di mia propria mano[1]!12Tutti coloro che vogliono fare bella figura nella carne vi costringono a farvi circoncidere, e ciò al solo fine di non essere perseguitati a causa della croce di Cristo.13Poiché neppure loro, che sono circoncisi, osservano la legge; ma vogliono che siate circoncisi per potersi vantare della vostra carne.14Ma quanto a me, non sia mai che io mi vanti di altro che della croce del nostro Signore Gesù Cristo, mediante la quale il mondo, per me, è stato crocifisso e io sono stato crocifisso per il mondo.15Infatti, tanto la circoncisione che l’incirconcisione non sono nulla; quello che importa è l’essere una nuova creatura.16Su quanti cammineranno secondo questa regola siano pace e misericordia, e così siano sull’Israele di Dio.17Da ora in poi nessuno mi dia molestia, perché io porto nel mio corpo il marchio[2] di Gesù.18La grazia del nostro Signore Gesù Cristo sia con il vostro spirito, fratelli. Eigenhändiger Briefschluss: Ruhm des Kreuzes Christi
11Seht, mit was für großen Buchstaben ich euch mit eigener Hand geschrieben habe! (Ro 16,22; Col 4,18)12So viele im Fleisch gut angesehen sein wollen, die nötigen euch, beschnitten zu werden, nur damit sie nicht um des Kreuzes Christi willen verfolgt werden. (Ga 4,29; Fili 3,18)13Denn auch sie, die beschnitten sind, befolgen[7] selbst das Gesetz nicht, sondern sie wollen, dass ihr beschnitten werdet, damit sie sich eures Fleisches[8] rühmen ⟨können⟩. (Ro 2,23)14Mir aber sei es fern, mich zu rühmen als nur des Kreuzes[9] unseres Herrn Jesus Christus, durch das[10] mir die Welt gekreuzigt ist und ich der Welt. (1Co 1,31; 1Co 2,2; Ga 2,20; Fili 3,3)15Denn weder Beschneidung noch Unbeschnittensein gilt etwas, sondern eine neue Schöpfung. No la circuncisión, sino una nueva creación
11Miren que les escribo de mi puño y letra, ¡y con letras bien grandes!12Los que tratan de obligarlos a ustedes a circuncidarse lo hacen únicamente para dar una buena impresión y evitar ser perseguidos por causa de la cruz de Cristo.13Ni siquiera esos que están circuncidados obedecen la ley; lo que pasa es que quieren obligarlos a circuncidarse para luego jactarse de la señal que ustedes llevarían en el cuerpo.[1]14En cuanto a mí, jamás se me ocurra jactarme de otra cosa sino de la cruz de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, por quien[2] el mundo ha sido crucificado para mí, y yo para el mundo.15Para nada cuenta estar o no estar circuncidados; lo que importa es ser parte de una nueva creación.16Paz y misericordia desciendan sobre todos los que siguen esta norma, y sobre el Israel de Dios.17Por lo demás, que nadie me cause más problemas, porque yo llevo en el cuerpo las cicatrices de Jesús.18Hermanos, que la gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con el espíritu de cada uno de ustedes.
