Salmo 8

(Is 63,14)

1 To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith.[1] A Psalm of David. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. (Eso 34,5; Sal 81,1; Sal 84,1; Sal 113,4; Sal 148,13; Is 12,4)2 Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. (Sal 44,16; Ger 16,19; Mat 11,25; Mat 21,16; 1Co 1,27)3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, (Gen 1,16; Eso 8,19; Eso 31,18; Sal 111,2)4 what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? (Gen 8,1; Gen 21,1; Gen 50,24; Giob 7,17; Giob 25,6; Sal 65,9; Sal 80,17; Sal 144,3; Eb 2,6)5 Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings[2] and crowned him with glory and honor. (Gen 1,26; Sal 21,5)6 You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, (Gen 1,26; Gen 1,28; Mat 28,18; 1Co 15,27)7 all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,8 the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.9 O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Salmo 8

King James Version

1 To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
