1Al direttore del coro. Secondo Iedutun.
(Sal 105,2; Sal 119,27)14Gott! (Sal 3,4; Sal 39,1; Sal 50,1)2In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted. (Gen 37,35; Sal 20,1; Sal 50,15; Sal 63,6; Sal 86,7; Sal 143,6; Is 26,9; Is 26,16)3When I remember God, I moan; when I meditate, my spirit faints. (Sal 42,5; Sal 42,11; Sal 43,5)4You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. (Gen 41,8)5I consider the days of old, the years long ago. (De 32,7; Sal 44,1; Sal 77,10; Sal 143,5; Is 51,9)6I said,[1] “Let me remember my song in the night; let me meditate in my heart.” Then my spirit made a diligent search: (Sal 4,4; Sal 42,8)7“Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable? (Sal 44,9; Sal 85,1)8Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time? (Ro 9,6)9Has God forgotten to be gracious? (Sal 35,10; Sal 73,17)14You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples. (Sal 72,18; Sal 106,8)15You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph. (Eso 6,6; De 9,29; Sal 74,2)16When the waters saw you, O God, when the waters saw you, they were afraid; indeed, the deep trembled. (Eso 14,21; Gios 3,15; Sal 114,3; Abac 3,10)17The clouds poured out water; the skies gave forth thunder; your arrows flashed on every side. (Sal 18,14; Sal 68,33)18The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind; your lightnings lighted up the world; the earth trembled and shook. (Sal 18,7; Sal 97,4; Sal 104,7)19Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen.[3] (Sal 36,6; Abac 3,15)20You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron. Salmo 77
King James Version
1To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph. I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me.2In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.3I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.4Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.5I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.6I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.7Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?8Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?9Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.10And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.11I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.12I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.13Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?14Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.15Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.16The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.17The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad.18The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.19Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.20Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
