Salmo 120

Nuova Riveduta 2006

Was dir hinzufügen, du falsche Zunge?4 Scharfe Pfeile eines Starken samt glühenden Ginsterkohlen[2]. (Ro 3,17)

1 A Song of Ascents. In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. (Eso 34,24; 1Re 12,27; Is 30,29)2 Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.3 What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, you deceitful tongue? (1Sam 3,17)4 A warrior’s sharp arrows, with glowing coals of the broom tree! (Sal 45,5; Sal 127,4; Sal 140,10; Prov 25,22; Ger 50,9)5 Woe to me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar! Salmo 120

King James Version

1 A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.3 What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!6 My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.7 I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
