Luca 9

Nuova Riveduta 2006

Bring deinen Sohn her! (Mat 10,5; Mar 6,7; Fili 3,13; Eb 10,38)

Luca 9

English Standard Version

di Crossway
1 And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, (Mat 10,1; Mar 3,13; Mar 6,7)2 and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. (Mat 10,5; Mat 10,7; Lu 4,43; Lu 9,11; Lu 9,60; Lu 10,1; Lu 10,9)3 And he said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.[1] (Mat 10,9; Mar 6,8; Lu 10,4; Lu 22,35)4 And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart.5 And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.” (Ne 5,13; Mar 1,44; At 13,51; At 18,6; Giac 5,3)6 And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere. (Mar 6,12)7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was perplexed, because it was said by some that John had been raised from the dead, (Mat 14,1; Mar 6,14; Lu 3,1; Lu 3,19; Lu 9,19; At 13,1)8 by some that Elijah had appeared, and by others that one of the prophets of old had risen. (Lu 9,7)9 Herod said, “John I beheaded, but who is this about whom I hear such things?” And he sought to see him. (Lu 23,8)10 On their return the apostles told him all that they had done. And he took them and withdrew apart to a town called Bethsaida. (Mat 14,13; Mat 15,32; Mar 6,30; Mar 6,32; Mar 8,2; Giov 6,1)11 When the crowds learned it, they followed him, and he welcomed them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God and cured those who had need of healing. (Lu 8,40; Lu 9,2)12 Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him, “Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.” (Ger 6,4; Mat 15,23; Lu 24,29)13 But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.” (2Re 4,42; Mat 16,9; Mar 8,19)14 For there were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”15 And they did so, and had them all sit down.16 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. (1Sam 9,13; Mat 26,26; Mar 7,34; Mar 8,7; Mar 14,22; Lu 24,30; Giov 11,41; Giov 17,1; 1Co 14,16)17 And they all ate and were satisfied. And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.18 Now it happened that as he was praying alone, the disciples were with him. And he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” (Mat 16,13; Mar 8,27)19 And they answered, “John the Baptist. But others say, Elijah, and others, that one of the prophets of old has risen.” (Mat 14,2; Mat 17,10; Mar 6,14; Mar 6,15; Mar 9,11; Lu 9,7; Lu 9,8; Giov 1,21)20 Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered, “The Christ of God.” (Mat 1,17; Lu 23,35; At 3,18; Ap 12,10)21 And he strictly charged and commanded them to tell this to no one, (Mat 12,16; Mat 16,20; Mar 8,30)22 saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.” (Mat 16,21; Mat 17,12; Mat 17,22; Mat 27,63; Mar 8,31; Mar 9,30; Lu 13,33; Lu 17,25; Lu 18,31; Lu 18,33; Lu 20,17; Lu 24,7; Lu 24,46; Giov 2,19; 1P 2,4)23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. (Mat 10,38; 1Co 15,31; 2Ti 2,12)24 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. (Lu 9,23)25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? (Lu 12,20)26 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. (De 33,2; Da 7,10; Da 7,13; Zac 14,5; Mat 10,33; Mat 13,41; Mat 16,27; Mat 19,28; Mat 24,30; Mat 25,31; Mat 26,64; Mar 10,37; Giov 1,51; Giov 17,24; At 1,11; At 10,22; Ro 1,16; 1Te 1,10; 1Te 4,16; 2Ti 1,8; 2Ti 1,12; 2Ti 1,16; Eb 11,16; 1G 2,28; Giuda 1,14; Ap 1,7; Ap 14,10)27 But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.” (Mat 10,23; Mat 23,36; Mat 24,34; Mar 13,30; Lu 21,31; Giov 8,52; Eb 2,9)28 Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him Peter and John and James and went up on the mountain to pray. (Mat 14,23; Mat 17,1; Mar 9,2; Mar 14,33; Lu 8,51)29 And as he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became dazzling white. (Sal 104,2; Da 7,9; Mat 28,3; Mar 16,12)30 And behold, two men were talking with him, Moses and Elijah,31 who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure,[2] which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.32 Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they became fully awake they saw his glory and the two men who stood with him. (Da 8,18; Mat 26,43; Giov 1,14)33 And as the men were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah”—not knowing what he said. (Ne 8,15; Mar 9,6; Mar 14,40)34 As he was saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. (Eso 24,15; 2P 1,17)35 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen One;[3] listen to him!” (Sal 89,3; Is 42,1; Is 49,7; Lu 9,34; Lu 23,35; At 3,22)36 And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent and told no one in those days anything of what they had seen. (Mat 17,9; Mar 9,9)37 On the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a great crowd met him. (Mat 17,14; Mar 9,14)38 And behold, a man from the crowd cried out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child. (Lu 7,12)39 And behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out. It convulses him so that he foams at the mouth, and shatters him, and will hardly leave him.40 And I begged your disciples to cast it out, but they could not.” (Mat 10,1; Mar 6,7; Lu 9,1; Lu 10,17)41 Jesus answered, “O faithless and twisted generation, how long am I to be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.” (Giov 14,9; Giov 20,27; Fili 2,15)42 While he was coming, the demon threw him to the ground and convulsed him. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father. (Zac 3,2; Mat 8,26; Mar 1,25; Lu 4,35; Lu 4,39; Lu 7,15; Giuda 1,9)43 And all were astonished at the majesty of God. But while they were all marveling at everything he was doing, Jesus[4] said to his disciples, (Mat 17,22; Mar 9,30; Lu 9,22; 2P 1,16)44 “Let these words sink into your ears: The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.” (Lu 9,43)45 But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them, so that they might not perceive it. And they were afraid to ask him about this saying. (Mat 17,13; Mar 6,52; Mar 9,10; Lu 2,50; Lu 18,34; Lu 24,16; Giov 10,6; Giov 12,16; Giov 16,17)46 An argument arose among them as to which of them was the greatest. (Mat 18,1; Mat 20,20; Mar 9,33; Mar 10,35)47 But Jesus, knowing the reasoning of their hearts, took a child and put him by his side48 and said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.” (Mat 10,40; Mat 10,42; Lu 22,26)49 John answered, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he does not follow with us.” (Nu 11,28; Mat 7,22; Mat 12,27; Mar 9,38; Mar 16,17; Lu 10,17; At 19,13)50 But Jesus said to him, “Do not stop him, for the one who is not against you is for you.” (Mat 12,30; Lu 11,23)51 When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem. (2Re 12,17; Is 50,7; Ger 42,15; Mar 16,19; Lu 13,22; Lu 17,11; Lu 18,31; Lu 19,11; Lu 19,28)52 And he sent messengers ahead of him, who went and entered a village of the Samaritans, to make preparations for him. (Mat 10,5; Lu 10,1)53 But the people did not receive him, because his face was set toward Jerusalem. (Lu 10,33; Giov 4,9; Giov 4,20)54 And when his disciples James and John saw it, they said, “Lord, do you want us to tell fire to come down from heaven and consume them?”[5] (Ap 13,13)55 But he turned and rebuked them.[6]56 And they went on to another village.57 As they were going along the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” (Mat 8,19; Lu 9,51)58 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”59 To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”60 And Jesus[7] said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” (Lu 9,2; Giov 5,25)61 Yet another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home.” (1Re 19,20)62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Fili 3,13)

Luca 9

King James Version

1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;8 And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.9 And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.10 And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.11 And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.12 And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.13 But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.14 For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.15 And they did so, and made them all sit down.16 Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.17 And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.18 And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?19 They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.20 He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.21 And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.29 And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.30 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.32 But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.33 And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.34 While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.36 And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.37 And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.38 And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.39 And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.40 And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.41 And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.43 And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,44 Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.45 But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
