Istruzioni varie di Gesù; il peccato imperdonabile: la bestemmia contro lo Spirito Santo

1 Nel frattempo la gente si era riunita a migliaia, così da calpestarsi gli uni gli altri. Allora Gesù cominciò a dire prima di tutto ai suoi discepoli: «Guardatevi dal lievito dei farisei, che è ipocrisia. 2 Ma non c’è niente di nascosto che non sarà svelato, né di segreto che non sarà conosciuto. 3 Perciò tutto quello che avete detto nelle tenebre sarà udito nella luce, e quel che avete detto all’orecchio nelle stanze interne sarà proclamato sui tetti. 4 Ma a voi, che siete miei amici, io dico: non temete quelli che uccidono il corpo, ma che oltre a questo non possono fare di più. 5 Io vi mostrerò chi dovete temere. Temete colui che, dopo aver ucciso, ha il potere di gettare nella geenna. Sì, vi dico, temete lui. 6 Cinque passeri non si vendono per due soldi? Eppure non uno di essi è dimenticato davanti a Dio; 7 anzi, perfino i capelli del vostro capo sono tutti contati. Non temete; voi valete più di molti passeri. 8 Or io vi dico: chiunque mi riconoscerà davanti agli uomini, anche il Figlio dell’uomo riconoscerà lui davanti agli angeli di Dio; 9 ma chi mi rinnegherà davanti agli uomini, sarà rinnegato davanti agli angeli di Dio. 10 E chiunque parlerà contro il Figlio dell’uomo sarà perdonato, ma chi avrà bestemmiato contro lo Spirito Santo non sarà perdonato. 11 Quando poi vi condurranno davanti alle sinagoghe, ai magistrati e alle autorità, non preoccupatevi di come o di cosa risponderete a vostra difesa, o di cosa dovrete dire; 12 perché lo Spirito Santo vi insegnerà in quel momento stesso quello che dovrete dire».

Il ricco stolto

13 Or uno della folla gli disse: «Maestro, di’ a mio fratello che divida con me l’eredità». 14 Ma Gesù gli rispose: «Uomo, chi mi ha costituito su di voi giudice o spartitore?» 15 Poi disse loro: «State attenti e guardatevi da ogni avarizia; perché non è dall’abbondanza dei beni che uno possiede che egli ha la sua vita». 16 E disse loro una parabola: «La campagna di un uomo ricco fruttò abbondantemente; 17 egli ragionava così fra sé: “Che farò, poiché non ho dove riporre i miei raccolti?” E disse: 18 “Questo farò: demolirò i miei granai, ne costruirò altri più grandi, vi raccoglierò tutto il mio grano e i miei beni, 19 e dirò all’anima mia: ‘Anima, tu hai molti beni ammassati per molti anni; ripòsati, mangia, bevi, divèrtiti’”. 20 Ma Dio gli disse: “Stolto, questa notte stessa l’anima tua ti sarà ridomandata; e quello che hai preparato, di chi sarà?” 21 Così è di chi accumula tesori per sé e non è ricco davanti a Dio».

Le preoccupazioni

22 Poi disse ai {suoi} discepoli: «Perciò vi dico: non siate in ansia per la vita vostra, di quel che mangerete, né per il corpo, di che vi vestirete; 23 poiché la vita è più del nutrimento, e il corpo più del vestito. 24 Osservate i corvi: non seminano, non mietono, non hanno dispensa né granaio, eppure Dio li nutre. E voi, quanto più degli uccelli valete! 25 E chi di voi può con la propria ansietà aggiungere un’ora sola alla durata della sua vita? 26 Se dunque non potete fare nemmeno ciò che è minimo, perché vi affannate per il resto? 27 Guardate i gigli come crescono: non faticano e non filano; eppure io vi dico che neanche Salomone^[1], con tutta la sua gloria, si vestì come uno di loro. 28 Ora se Dio riveste così l’erba, che oggi è nel campo e domani è gettata nel forno, quanto più vestirà voi, gente di poca fede! 29 Anche voi non state a cercare che cosa mangerete e che cosa berrete, e non state in ansia! 30 Perché è la gente del mondo che ricerca tutte queste cose, ma il Padre vostro sa che ne avete bisogno. 31 Cercate piuttosto il suo regno, e queste cose vi saranno date in più. 32 Non temere, piccolo gregge, perché al Padre vostro è piaciuto di darvi il regno. 33 Vendete i vostri beni e dateli in elemosina; fatevi delle borse che non invecchiano, un tesoro inesauribile nei cieli, dove ladro non si avvicina e tignola non rode. 34 Perché dov’è il vostro tesoro, lì sarà anche il vostro cuore.

Parabola e avvertimento della seconda venuta del Cristo

35 «I vostri fianchi siano cinti e le vostre lampade accese; 36 siate simili a quelli che aspettano il loro padrone quando torna dalle nozze, per aprirgli appena giungerà e busserà. 37 Beati quei servi che il padrone, arrivando, troverà vigilanti! In verità io vi dico che egli si rimboccherà le vesti, li farà mettere a tavola e passerà a servirli. 38 Se giungerà alla seconda o alla terza vigilia^[2] e li troverà così, beati loro! 39 Sappiate questo, che se il padrone di casa conoscesse a che ora verrà il ladro, non si lascerebbe scassinare la casa. 40 Anche voi siate pronti, perché il Figlio dell’uomo verrà nell’ora che non pensate».

I due servi

41 Pietro disse: «Signore, questa parabola la dici per noi o anche per tutti?» 42 Il Signore rispose: «Chi è dunque l’amministratore fedele e prudente, che il padrone costituirà sui suoi domestici per dar loro a suo tempo la loro porzione di viveri? 43 Beato quel servo che il padrone, al suo arrivo, troverà intento a far così. 44 In verità vi dico che lo costituirà su tutti i suoi beni. 45 Ma se quel servo dice in cuor suo: “Il mio padrone tarda a venire”, e comincia a battere i servi e le serve, a mangiare, bere e ubriacarsi, 46 il padrone di quel servo verrà nel giorno che non se lo aspetta e nell’ora che non sa, e lo punirà severamente, e gli assegnerà la sorte degli infedeli. 47 Quel servo che ha conosciuto la volontà del suo padrone e non ha preparato né fatto secondo la sua volontà, riceverà molte percosse; 48 ma colui che non l’ha conosciuta e ha fatto cose degne di percosse, ne riceverà poche. A chi molto è stato dato, molto sarà richiesto; e a chi molto è stato affidato, tanto più si richiederà.

Cristo, causa di divisione

49 «Io sono venuto ad accendere un fuoco sulla terra; e che mi resta da desiderare, se già è acceso? 50 Vi è un battesimo del quale devo essere battezzato, e sono angosciato finché non sia compiuto! 51 Voi pensate che io sia venuto a portare pace sulla terra? No, vi dico, ma piuttosto divisione; 52 perché da ora in avanti, se vi sono cinque persone in una casa, saranno divise tre contro due e due contro tre; 53 saranno divisi il padre contro il figlio e il figlio contro il padre; la madre contro la figlia e la figlia contro la madre; la suocera contro la nuora e la nuora contro la suocera». 54 Diceva ancora alle folle: «Quando vedete una nuvola venire su da ponente, voi dite subito: “Viene la pioggia”, e così avviene. 55 Quando sentite soffiare lo scirocco, dite: “Farà caldo”, e così è. 56 Ipocriti! L’aspetto della terra e del cielo sapete riconoscerlo; come mai non sapete riconoscere questo tempo? 57 Perché non giudicate da voi stessi ciò che è giusto? 58 Quando vai con il tuo avversario davanti al magistrato, fa’ di tutto mentre sei per via per accordarti con lui, perché non ti porti davanti al giudice e il giudice ti consegni all’esecutore giudiziario, e l’esecutore ti metta in prigione. 59 Io ti dico che non uscirai di là, finché non avrai pagato fino all’ultimo centesimo^[3]».

Warnung vor Heuchelei – Ermutigung zu furchtlosem Bekenntnis – Warnung vor Lästerung des Geistes

1 Als sich unterdessen viele Tausende der Volksmenge versammelt hatten, sodass sie einander traten, fing er an, zuerst zu seinen Jüngern zu sagen: Hütet euch vor dem Sauerteig der Pharisäer^[1], das heißt vor der Heuchelei^[2]. (Mat 16,6; Mat 23,28; Lu 5,1; 1Co 5,8)

2 Es ist aber nichts verdeckt, was nicht aufgedeckt, und ⟨nichts⟩ verborgen, was nicht erkannt werden wird; (Lu 8,17) 3 deswegen wird alles, was ihr in der Finsternis gesprochen haben werdet, im Licht gehört werden, und was ihr ins Ohr gesprochen haben werdet in den Kammern, wird auf den Dächern ausgerufen werden. (Lu 9,26) 10 Und jeder, der ein Wort sagen wird gegen den Sohn des Menschen, dem wird vergeben werden; dem aber, der gegen den Heiligen Geist lästert, wird nicht vergeben werden. (Mat 12,31) 11 Wenn sie euch aber vor die Synagogen und die Obrigkeiten und die Machthaber^[5] führen, so sorgt nicht, wie oder womit ihr euch verantworten oder was ihr sagen sollt! 12 Denn der Heilige Geist wird euch in jener Stunde lehren, was ihr sagen sollt. Gleichnis vom reichen Toren

13 Einer aus der Volksmenge aber sprach zu ihm: Lehrer, sage meinem Bruder, dass er das Erbe mit mir teilt! 14 Er aber sprach zu ihm: Mensch, wer hat mich als Richter oder ⟨Erb⟩teiler über euch eingesetzt? 15 Er sprach aber zu ihnen: Seht zu und hütet euch vor aller Habsucht! Denn ⟨auch⟩ wenn jemand Überfluss hat, besteht sein Leben nicht aus seiner Habe. (Mar 4,19; 1Ti 6,10) 16 Er sagte aber ein Gleichnis zu ihnen und sprach: Das Land eines reichen Menschen trug viel ein. 17 Und er überlegte bei sich selbst und sprach: Was soll ich tun? Denn ich habe nicht, wohin ich meine Früchte einsammeln soll. 18 Und er sprach: Dies will ich tun: Ich will meine Scheunen niederreißen und größere bauen und will dahin all mein Korn und meine Güter einsammeln; 19 und ich will zu meiner Seele sagen: Seele, du hast viele Güter liegen auf viele Jahre. Ruhe aus, iss, trink, sei fröhlich! (Sal 62,11; Prov 18,11; Ger 9,22) 20 Gott aber sprach zu ihm: Du Tor! In dieser Nacht wird man deine Seele von dir fordern^[6]. 21 So ist, der für sich Schätze sammelt und nicht reich ist im Blick auf Gott. (Abac 2,9; Mat 6,19)

Warnung vor Sorgen

22 Er sprach aber zu seinen Jüngern: Deshalb sage ich euch: Seid nicht besorgt für das Leben, was ihr essen, noch für den Leib, was ihr anziehen sollt! (Fili 4,6) 23 Das Leben ist mehr als die Nahrung und der Leib mehr als die Kleidung. 24 Betrachtet die Raben, die nicht säen noch ernten, die weder Vorratskammer noch Scheune haben, und Gott ernährt sie. Wie viel seid ihr mehr als die Vögel! (Giob 38,41; Mat 12,12; Lu 12,7) 25 Wer aber unter euch kann mit Sorgen seiner Lebenslänge^[7] eine Elle zusetzen? 26 Wenn ihr nun auch das Geringste nicht könnt, warum seid ihr um das Übrige besorgt? 27 Betrachtet die Lilien, wie sie wachsen; sie mühen sich nicht und spinnen auch nicht. Ich sage euch aber, selbst Salomo in all seiner Herrlichkeit war nicht bekleidet wie eine von ihnen. 28 Wenn aber Gott das Gras, das heute auf dem Feld steht und morgen in den Ofen geworfen wird, so kleidet, wie viel mehr euch, Kleingläubige! 29 Und ihr, trachtet nicht ⟨danach⟩, was ihr essen oder was ihr trinken sollt, und seid nicht in Unruhe! 30 Denn nach diesem allen trachten die Nationen der Welt; euer Vater aber weiß, dass ihr dies benötigt. (Mat 6,8) 31 Trachtet jedoch nach seinem Reich^[8]! Und dies wird euch hinzugefügt werden. (1Re 3,13) 32 Fürchte dich nicht, du kleine Herde! Entzweiung um Jesu willen

49 Ich bin gekommen, Feuer auf die Erde zu werfen, und wie wünschte ich, es wäre schon angezündet! 50 Ich habe aber eine Taufe, womit ich getauft werden muss, und wie bin ich bedrängt, bis sie vollbracht ist! (Mar 10,38; Giov 12,27; Giov 19,30) 51 Denkt ihr, dass ich gekommen sei, Frieden auf der Erde zu geben? Nein, sage ich euch, sondern vielmehr Entzweiung. (Giov 7,12; At 14,2) 52 Denn es werden von nun an fünf in einem Haus entzweit sein; drei mit zweien und zwei mit dreien; 53 es werden entzweit sein Vater mit Sohn und Sohn mit Vater, Mutter mit der Tochter und Tochter mit der Mutter, Schwiegermutter mit ihrer Schwiegertochter und Schwiegertochter mit der Schwiegermutter. 54 Er sprach aber auch zu den Volksmengen: Wenn ihr eine Wolke von Westen aufsteigen seht, so sagt ihr sogleich: Ein Regenguss kommt. Und es geschieht so. 55 Und wenn ⟨ihr⟩ den Südwind wehen ⟨seht⟩, so sagt ihr: Es wird Hitze geben. Und es geschieht. 56 Heuchler! Das Aussehen der Erde und des Himmels wisst ihr zu beurteilen. Wie aber kommt es, dass ihr diese Zeit nicht zu beurteilen wisst? (Mat 5,25) 57 Warum richtet ihr aber auch von euch selbst aus nicht, was recht ist? 58 Denn wenn du mit deinem Gegner vor die Obrigkeit gehst, so gib dir auf dem Weg Mühe, von ihm loszukommen, damit er dich nicht etwa zu dem Richter hinschleppt; und der Richter wird dich dem Gerichtsdiener überliefern und der Gerichtsdiener dich ins Gefängnis werfen. 59 Ich sage dir: Du wirst nicht von dort herauskommen, bis du auch die letzte Münze^[13] bezahlt hast.

Do Not Be Anxious

Not Peace, but Division

54 He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming.’ And so it happens. Settle with Your Accuser

57 “And why do you not judge for yourselves what is right? (Lu 21,30; Giov 7,24; 1Co 11,13) 58 As you go with your accuser before the magistrate, make an effort to settle with him on the way, lest he drag you to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and the officer put you in prison.
