1Il primo giorno della settimana, la mattina presto, mentre era ancora buio, Maria Maddalena andò al sepolcro e vide la pietra tolta dal sepolcro.2Allora corse verso Simon Pietro e l’altro discepolo che Gesù amava, e disse loro: «Hanno tolto il Signore dal sepolcro e non sappiamo dove l’abbiano messo».3Pietro e l’altro discepolo uscirono dunque e si avviarono al sepolcro.4I due correvano assieme, ma l’altro discepolo corse più veloce di Pietro e giunse primo al sepolcro;5e, chinatosi, vide le fasce per terra, ma non entrò.6Giunse intanto anche Simon Pietro, che lo seguiva, ed entrò nel sepolcro, e vide le fasce per terra7e il sudario, che era stato sul capo di Gesù, non per terra con le fasce, ma piegato in un luogo a parte.8Allora entrò anche l’altro discepolo che era giunto per primo al sepolcro, e vide, e credette.9Perché non avevano ancora capito la Scrittura, secondo la quale egli doveva risuscitare dai morti.10I discepoli dunque se ne tornarono a casa.
Gesù appare a Maria Maddalena
11Maria, invece, se ne stava fuori vicino al sepolcro a piangere. Mentre piangeva, si chinò a guardare dentro il sepolcro,12ed ecco, vide due angeli, vestiti di bianco, seduti uno al capo e l’altro ai piedi, lì dov’era stato il corpo di Gesù.13Ed essi le dissero: «Donna, perché piangi?» Ella rispose loro: «Perché hanno tolto il mio Signore e non so dove l’abbiano deposto».14Detto questo, si voltò indietro e vide Gesù in piedi; ma non sapeva che fosse Gesù.15Gesù le disse: «Donna, perché piangi? Chi cerchi?» Ella, pensando che fosse il giardiniere, gli disse: «Signore, se tu l’hai portato via, dimmi dove l’hai deposto, e io lo prenderò».16Gesù le disse: «Maria!» Ella, voltatasi, gli disse in ebraico: «Rabbunì!», che vuol dire: «Maestro!»17Gesù le disse: «Non trattenermi, perché non sono ancora salito al Padre; ma va’ dai miei fratelli e di’ loro: “Io salgo al Padre mio e Padre vostro, al Dio mio e Dio vostro”».18Maria Maddalena andò ad annunciare ai discepoli che aveva visto il Signore e che egli le aveva detto queste cose.
Gesù appare ai discepoli; Tommaso non è con loro
19La sera di quello stesso giorno, che era il primo della settimana, mentre le porte del luogo in cui si trovavano i discepoli erano chiuse per timore dei Giudei, Gesù venne e si presentò in mezzo a loro, e disse: «Pace a voi!»20E detto questo mostrò loro le mani e il costato. I discepoli dunque, veduto il Signore, si rallegrarono.21Allora {Gesù} disse loro di nuovo: «Pace a voi! Come il Padre mi ha mandato, anch’io mando voi».22Detto questo, soffiò su di loro e disse: «Ricevete lo Spirito Santo.23A chi perdonerete i peccati, saranno perdonati; a chi li riterrete, saranno ritenuti».
Gesù appare ai discepoli, tra i quali è Tommaso
24Ora Tommaso, detto Didimo, uno dei dodici, non era con loro quando venne Gesù.25Gli altri discepoli dunque gli dissero: «Abbiamo visto il Signore!» Ma egli disse loro: «Se non vedo nelle sue mani il segno dei chiodi e se non metto il mio dito nel segno dei chiodi, e se non metto la mia mano nel suo costato, io non crederò».26Otto giorni dopo i suoi discepoli erano di nuovo in casa, e Tommaso era con loro. Gesù venne a porte chiuse, e si presentò in mezzo a loro e disse: «Pace a voi!»27Poi disse a Tommaso: «Porgi qua il dito e guarda le mie mani; porgi la mano e mettila nel mio costato; e non essere incredulo, ma credente».28Tommaso gli rispose: «Signore mio e Dio mio!»29Gesù gli disse: «Perché mi hai visto, tu hai creduto; beati quelli che non hanno visto e hanno creduto!»
Lo scopo del Vangelo secondo Giovanni
30Ora Gesù fece in presenza dei {suoi} discepoli molti altri segni miracolosi, che non sono scritti in questo libro;31ma questi sono stati scritti affinché crediate che Gesù è il Cristo, il Figlio di Dio, e affinché, credendo, abbiate vita nel suo nome.

Sie spricht zu ihnen: Weil sie meinen Herrn weggenommen und ich nicht weiß, wo sie ihn hingelegt haben.14Als sie dies gesagt hatte, wandte sie sich zurück und sieht Jesus dastehen; und sie wusste nicht, dass es Jesus war. (Lu 24,16; Giov 21,4)15Jesus spricht zu ihr: Frau, was weinst du? Wen suchst du? Sie, in der Meinung, es sei der Gärtner, spricht zu ihm: Herr, wenn du ihn weggetragen, so sage mir, wo du ihn hingelegt hast! Und ich werde ihn wegholen.16Jesus spricht zu ihr: Maria! Erscheinung des Auferstandenen vor den Jüngern
19Als es nun Abend war an jenem Tag, dem ersten der Woche, und die Türen, wo die Jünger waren, aus Furcht vor den Juden verschlossen waren, kam Jesus und trat in die Mitte und spricht zu ihnen: Friede euch! (Mar 16,14; Giov 7,13; Giov 20,1; 1Co 15,5)20Und als er dies gesagt hatte, zeigte er ihnen die Hände und die Seite. Da freuten sich die Jünger, als sie den Herrn sahen. (Mat 28,8; Lu 24,39; Giov 16,22; Giov 19,34)21Jesus sprach nun wieder zu ihnen: Friede euch! Wie der Vater mich ausgesandt hat, sende ich auch euch. (Giov 17,18)22Und als er dies gesagt hatte, hauchte er sie an und spricht zu ihnen: Empfangt Heiligen Geist!23Wenn ihr jemandem die Sünden vergebt, dem sind sie vergeben, wenn ihr sie jemandem behaltet, sind sie ⟨ihm⟩ behalten. Zweck dieses Buches
30Auch viele andere Zeichen hat nun zwar Jesus vor den Jüngern getan, die nicht in diesem Buch geschrieben sind. (Giov 11,47; Giov 21,25)31Diese aber sind geschrieben, damit ihr glaubt, dass Jesus der Christus ist, der Sohn Gottes, und damit ihr durch den Glauben[6] Leben habt in seinem Namen. (Giov 1,49; Giov 3,15; Giov 19,35; 1G 5,13)

19On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews,[3] Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” (Lu 24,33; Lu 24,36; Giov 7,13; Giov 14,27; Giov 20,26; 1Co 15,5)20When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. (Lu 24,40; Giov 16,22)21Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. Jesus and Thomas
24Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin,[4] was not with them when Jesus came. (Giov 11,16)25So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.” (Sal 22,16; Giov 20,20)26Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” (Giov 20,19)27Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.27Then saith he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.29Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.30And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:31But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
