Ezechiele 3

Nuova Riveduta 2006

Ezechiele 3

English Standard Version

di Crossway
1 And he said to me, “Son of man, eat whatever you find here. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.” (Ez 2,1; Ez 2,8)2 So I opened my mouth, and he gave me this scroll to eat.3 And he said to me, “Son of man, feed your belly with this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it.” Then I ate it, and it was in my mouth as sweet as honey. (Sal 19,10; Sal 119,103; Ger 15,16; Ap 10,9)4 And he said to me, “Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with my words to them. (Ez 2,1)5 For you are not sent to a people of foreign speech and a hard language, but to the house of Israel—6 not to many peoples of foreign speech and a hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, if I sent you to such, they would listen to you. (Mat 11,21; Mat 11,23)7 But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart. (Ez 2,4; Giov 15,20)8 Behold, I have made your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads. (Ger 1,18)9 Like emery harder than flint have I made your forehead. Fear them not, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.” (Is 50,7; Ez 2,6)10 Moreover, he said to me, “Son of man, all my words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart, and hear with your ears. (Ger 26,2; Ez 3,3)11 And go to the exiles, to your people, and speak to them and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ whether they hear or refuse to hear.” (Ez 2,7; Ez 3,27; Ez 33,2; Ez 33,12; Ez 33,17; Ez 33,30)12 Then the Spirit[1] lifted me up, and I heard behind me the voice[2] of a great earthquake: “Blessed be the glory of the Lord from its place!” (Ez 1,24; Ez 8,3; Ez 11,1; Ez 11,24; Ez 37,1; Ez 43,5)13 It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures as they touched one another, and the sound of the wheels beside them, and the sound of a great earthquake. (Ez 1,5; Ez 1,15; Ez 1,24)14 The Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit, the hand of the Lord being strong upon me. (Ez 1,3; Ez 8,3; Ez 11,1; Ez 11,24; Ez 37,1; Ez 43,5)15 And I came to the exiles at Tel-abib, who were dwelling by the Chebar canal, and I sat where they were dwelling.[3] And I sat there overwhelmed among them seven days. (Gen 50,10; 1Sam 31,13; Giob 2,13; Sal 137,1; Is 52,14; Ger 14,9; Lam 2,10; Ez 1,1; Ez 4,17)16 And at the end of seven days, the word of the Lord came to me: (Ger 42,7)17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me. (2Re 6,10; 2Cr 19,10; Is 52,8; Is 56,10; Ger 6,17; Ez 2,1; Ez 3,18; Ez 33,4; Ez 33,7; Eb 13,17)18 If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for[4] his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. (Gen 2,17; Ger 31,30; Ez 3,17; Ez 3,20; Ez 18,13; Ez 18,18; Ez 33,6; Ez 33,8; Ez 34,10; Giov 8,21; Giov 8,24; At 18,6; At 20,26)19 But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul. (Ez 14,14; Ez 14,20; Ez 33,9; 1Ti 4,16)20 Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand. (Ger 6,21; Ez 3,17; Ez 3,18; Ez 18,24)21 But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul.”22 And the hand of the Lord was upon me there. And he said to me, “Arise, go out into the valley,[5] and there I will speak with you.” (Gen 11,2; Ez 1,3; Ez 8,4; Ez 37,1; At 9,6; At 22,10)23 So I arose and went out into the valley, and behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory that I had seen by the Chebar canal, and I fell on my face. (Ez 1,1; Ez 1,28)24 But the Spirit entered into me and set me on my feet, and he spoke with me and said to me, “Go, shut yourself within your house. (Ez 2,2)25 And you, O son of man, behold, cords will be placed upon you, and you shall be bound with them, so that you cannot go out among the people. (Ez 4,8)26 And I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be mute and unable to reprove them, for they are a rebellious house. (Is 8,16; Ez 2,3)27 But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ He who will hear, let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house. (Ez 3,11; Ez 24,27; Ez 29,21; Ap 22,11)

Ezechiele 3

King James Version

1 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it ; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.4 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.8 Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.10 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.11 And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.12 Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying , Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.13 I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.14 So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.15 Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man , that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.22 And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.23 Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face.24 Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.25 But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:26 And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.
