Ezechiele 24

Nuova Riveduta 2006

(Ger 49,1; Ez 3,27; Ez 4,3; Ez 21,33; Ez 33,22; Am 1,13; So 2,8)

Ezechiele 24

English Standard Version

di Crossway
1 In the ninth year, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me: (Ez 20,1)2 “Son of man, write down the name of this day, this very day. The king of Babylon has laid siege to Jerusalem this very day. (Ez 2,1)3 And utter a parable to the rebellious house and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: “Set on the pot, set it on; pour in water also; (2Re 4,38; Ez 2,5; Ez 11,3; Ez 11,7; Ez 11,11; Ez 17,2; Ez 20,49)4 put in it the pieces of meat, all the good pieces, the thigh and the shoulder; fill it with choice bones. (1Sam 9,24)5 Take the choicest one of the flock; pile the logs[1] under it; boil it well; seethe also its bones in it.6 “Therefore thus says the Lord God: Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose corrosion is in it, and whose corrosion has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece, without making any choice.[2] (Ez 22,2; Ez 24,3; Na 3,1)7 For the blood she has shed is in her midst; she put it on the bare rock; she did not pour it out on the ground to cover it with dust. (Le 17,13; De 12,16; De 12,24; Ez 26,4; Ez 26,14)8 To rouse my wrath, to take vengeance, I have set on the bare rock the blood she has shed, that it may not be covered.9 Therefore thus says the Lord God: Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the pile great. (Is 30,33)10 Heap on the logs, kindle the fire, boil the meat well, mix in the spices,[3] and let the bones be burned up.11 Then set it empty upon the coals, that it may become hot, and its copper may burn, that its uncleanness may be melted in it, its corrosion consumed. (Ez 22,15)12 She has wearied herself with toil;[4] its abundant corrosion does not go out of it. Into the fire with its corrosion! (Ger 2,22)13 On account of your unclean lewdness, because I would have cleansed you and you were not cleansed from your uncleanness, you shall not be cleansed anymore till I have satisfied my fury upon you. (Is 22,14; Ez 5,13)14 I am the Lord. I have spoken; it shall come to pass; I will do it. I will not go back; I will not spare; I will not relent; according to your ways and your deeds you will be judged, declares the Lord God.” (Nu 23,19; 1Sam 15,29; Ez 5,11; Ez 17,24; Ez 20,43; Ez 23,45)15 The word of the Lord came to me:16 “Son of man, behold, I am about to take the delight of your eyes away from you at a stroke; yet you shall not mourn or weep, nor shall your tears run down. (Ez 2,1)17 Sigh, but not aloud; make no mourning for the dead. Bind on your turban, and put your shoes on your feet; do not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.” (Le 10,6; 2Sam 15,30; Is 20,2; Ger 16,5; Os 9,4)18 So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died. And on the next morning I did as I was commanded. (Ez 12,7; Ez 24,16; Ez 37,7)19 And the people said to me, “Will you not tell us what these things mean for us, that you are acting thus?” (Ez 12,9)20 Then I said to them, “The word of the Lord came to me:21 ‘Say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the delight of your eyes, and the yearning of your soul, and your sons and your daughters whom you left behind shall fall by the sword. (2Cr 36,17; Ger 7,14; Ez 7,21; Ez 23,47)22 And you shall do as I have done; you shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men. (Ez 12,11; Ez 24,17)23 Your turbans shall be on your heads and your shoes on your feet; you shall not mourn or weep, but you shall rot away in your iniquities and groan to one another. (Ez 4,17; Ez 24,22)24 Thus shall Ezekiel be to you a sign; according to all that he has done you shall do. When this comes, then you will know that I am the Lord God.’ (Ez 4,3; Ez 6,7; Ez 24,22; Ez 24,27)25 “As for you, son of man, surely on the day when I take from them their stronghold, their joy and glory, the delight of their eyes and their soul’s desire, and also their sons and daughters, (Ez 2,1; Ez 24,21)26 on that day a fugitive will come to you to report to you the news. (Ez 33,21)27 On that day your mouth will be opened to the fugitive, and you shall speak and be no longer mute. So you will be a sign to them, and they will know that I am the Lord.” (Ez 3,26; Ez 4,3; Ez 6,7; Ez 24,24; Ez 29,21)

Ezechiele 24

King James Version

1 Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,2 Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.3 And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it:4 Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.5 Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.6 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.7 For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;8 That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.9 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.10 Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well, and let the bones be burned.11 Then set it empty upon the coals thereof, that the brass of it may be hot, and may burn, and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the scum of it may be consumed.12 She hath wearied herself with lies, and her great scum went not forth out of her: her scum shall be in the fire.13 In thy filthiness is lewdness: because I have purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.14 I the LORD have spoken it : it shall come to pass, and I will do it ; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD.15 Also the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,16 Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down.17 Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the tire of thine head upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of men.18 So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.19 And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou doest so ?20 Then I answered them, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,21 Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.22 And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.23 And your tires shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away for your iniquities, and mourn one toward another.24 Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that he hath done shall ye do: and when this cometh, ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.25 Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,26 That he that escapeth in that day shall come unto thee, to cause thee to hear it with thine ears?27 In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him which is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb: and thou shalt be a sign unto them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
