La preghiera per tutti gli uomini; la donna cristiana

1 Esorto dunque, prima di ogni altra cosa, che si facciano suppliche, preghiere, intercessioni, ringraziamenti per tutti gli uomini, 

2 per i re e per tutti quelli che sono costituiti in autorità, affinché possiamo condurre una vita tranquilla e quieta in tutta pietà e dignità. 

3 Questo è buono e gradito davanti a Dio, nostro Salvatore, 

4 il quale vuole che tutti gli uomini siano salvati e vengano alla conoscenza della verità. 

5 Infatti c’è un solo Dio e anche un solo mediatore fra Dio e gli uomini, Cristo Gesù uomo, 

6 che ha dato se stesso come prezzo di riscatto per tutti; questa è la testimonianza resa a suo tempo 

7 e della quale io fui costituito predicatore e apostolo (io dico il vero, non mento), per istruire gli stranieri nella fede e nella verità. 

8 Io voglio dunque che gli uomini preghino in ogni luogo, alzando mani pure, senza ira e senza dispute. 

9 Allo stesso modo, le donne si vestano in modo decoroso, con pudore e modestia: non di trecce e d’oro o di perle o di vesti lussuose, 

10 ma di opere buone, come si addice a donne che fanno professione di pietà. 

11 La donna impari in silenzio con ogni sottomissione. 

12 Poiché non permetto alla donna di insegnare, né di usare autorità sull’uomo, ma stia in silenzio. 

13 Infatti Adamo fu formato per primo, e poi Eva; 

14 e Adamo non fu sedotto; ma la donna, essendo stata sedotta, cadde in trasgressione. 

15 Tuttavia sarà salvata partorendo figli, se persevererà nella fede, nell’amore e nella santificazione con modestia.

Grundsätzliche Ermahnung zur Fürbitte

1 Ich ermahne nun vor allen Dingen, dass Flehen, Gebete, Fürbitten, Danksagungen getan werden für alle Menschen, (Fili 4,6) 

2 für Könige und alle, die in Hoheit sind, damit wir ein ruhiges und stilles Leben führen in aller Gottesfurcht und Ehrbarkeit. (Esd 6,10; Ger 29,7; 2P 3,11) 

3 Dies ist gut und angenehm vor unserem Retter-Gott, (1Ti 1,1) 

4 welcher will, dass alle Menschen gerettet werden und zur Erkenntnis der Wahrheit kommen. (Ez 18,23; Giov 3,17; 2Ti 2,25; Tit 1,1; Tit 2,11; 2P 3,9) 

5 Denn einer ist Gott, und einer ist Mittler zwischen Gott und Menschen, der Mensch Christus Jesus, (Ga 3,20; Ef 4,6; Eb 8,6) 

6 der sich selbst als Lösegeld für alle gab, als das Zeugnis zur rechten Zeit. (Mat 20,28; Ga 1,4; Tit 1,3) 

7 Dafür bin ich eingesetzt worden als Herold und Apostel – ich sage die Wahrheit, ich lüge nicht –, als Lehrer der Nationen in Glauben und Wahrheit. (At 9,15; Ro 9,1; Ga 2,7; Fili 1,16; Col 1,25; 1Ti 3,16; 2Ti 1,11) 

Verhalten von Männern und Frauen in den Gemeinden

8 Ich will nun, dass die Männer an jedem Ort beten, indem sie heilige Hände aufheben, ohne Zorn und zweifelnde Überlegung; (Sal 134,2; Mal 1,11; Giac 1,6; Giac 4,3) 

9 ebenso, dass auch ⟨die⟩ Frauen sich in anständiger Haltung mit Schamhaftigkeit und Sittsamkeit schmücken, nicht mit Haarflechten und Gold oder Perlen oder kostbarer Kleidung, (1P 3,3) 

10 sondern ⟨mit dem⟩, was Frauen entspricht, die sich zur Gottesfurcht bekennen, durch gute Werke. (At 9,36) 

11 Eine Frau lerne in der Stille in aller Unterordnung. (1Co 14,34) 

12 Ich erlaube aber einer Frau nicht zu lehren, auch nicht über den Mann zu herrschen, sondern ⟨ich will⟩, dass sie sich in der Stille hält, (1Co 14,34) 

13 denn Adam wurde zuerst gebildet, danach Eva; (Gen 2,7; 1Co 11,8) 

14 und Adam wurde nicht betrogen, die Frau aber wurde betrogen und fiel in Übertretung. (Gen 3,6; 2Co 11,3) 

15 Sie wird aber durch das Kindergebären ⟨hindurch⟩ gerettet werden, wenn sie bleiben in Glauben und Liebe und Heiligkeit mit Sittsamkeit. (Gen 3,16)

Pray for All People

1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 

2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. (Esd 6,10; 1Ti 3,4) 

3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, (1Ti 1,1; 1Ti 5,4) 

4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (Ez 18,23; Ez 18,32; 1Ti 4,10; 2Ti 2,25; 2Ti 3,7; Tit 1,1; Eb 10,26) 

5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, (Ga 3,20)

9 likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, (Is 3,18; 1P 3,3)

11 Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. (Tit 2,5) 

12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. (1Co 14,34) 

13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve; (Gen 1,27; Gen 2,8; Gen 2,18; Gen 2,22) 

14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. (Gen 3,6; Gen 3,13)

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 

6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 

7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 

8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 

10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. 

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 

12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
